As a queer horror creator, I want to make it clear that while not all horror is something that I would personally enjoy consuming, and certainly not all queer horror...
I think it is deeply disturbing that people would rather engage in open homophobia against queer horror creators rather than accept that not all queer media is tailor made to suit them.
You do yourself and all queer people a disservice by belittling queer media that you don't vibe with, simply because you think that sanitised, "unproblematic" queerness is the only acceptable form of queer storytelling.
It is not. Queer rep and horror rep must be diverse, otherwise lose its meaning. That means you may run into queer rep you simply cannot enjoy. This is especially important in horror.
