It would've been cool if it stopped at that, exept now I played genshin again after a while and as a very proud Fischl main and kinnie I couldn't restrain my brain and uh, my hands just took a tumble-
Flowers for princess Blaze
A little fox lives in a dystopian city riddled with tyranny, pollution, and abhorrent industrialization. Abandoned by their parents, and avoided and bullied by their peers for their outlandish interests in mechanics and an odd mutation, they hide away in the city's metro.
There's one small hope the fox clings to since the first days they could remember. Lying hidden and carefully protected within their burrow, there's a small set of fantasy books filled with peculiar writing, hard purple cover ragged at the edges, corners of the pages ripped and scratched up. Not because of mistreatment or carelessness but of constant use, the friction of the paper, and the brush of gloved fingers near daily. They do not know where they got these books from or how they exist in the first place, but they know its their last line of defense against the cruel world ouside.
Books were something unheard of in New Yoke city. Some elders would probably remember them as they apparently used to be a common place from the times way before, times unknown to the young fox, and only relayed in old abandoned picture frames or physical scripts like the ones in their possession.
Everything was now replaced with tablets, holograms, and palm-sized glass screens. And while it was compact, easy to read through, capable of finding any information allowed through by the Council's harsh censoring and simply carried around in one's pocket, it never brought the same blanket of comfort as holding a carefully relayed and glued together mesh of pages filled with endless possibilities of words that made no sense in the context of reality did.
At least not the one the little fox lived in.
They were smart and curious. They knew the hostilities of the world, It hated them for they were different. But hidden away in their little workshop beneath the ground, they found the world inside those books real. Logically they knew it wasn't. It were mere fantasies of days gone past and someone who perhaps had too many elusive substances to consume. But to a young imaginative mind, yearning for the smallest semblances of escape from the cruelness of reality, it began to seem real.
Logically they used to know it couldn't be, magic and ravens didn't exist, cats didn't have fire powers and the only authoritative titles were reserved for the heads of the Chaos Council. But ask the fox and they could recite you the complicated words and tongue-twisting names as if merely striking an everyday conversation. They would spent daydreaming for hours, playing with gadgets and fabric to recreate the magic described on those delicate pieces of paper and practice their peech and amnnerisms, and playing alone down in the subway tunnels.
As the years went on, they unknowingly got trapped in a small game of play pretend. Reasoning one day, that they were so different for they were not of this world, but an exiled royal of another dimension and locked away by their enemies in hopes of losing their power and never returning to salvage the world.
Logically they used to know no such things as alternative dimensions existed. Castles and dragons did neither. Yet a small fox abandoned by the world itself could dream. They merely had to regain their power and ascend back to their world to finally rid it of sin and fight, for a princess never surrenders her nobility and dreams.
They used to know it was just a storybook. But a lonely mind of an abused child looks for any escape possible to them. And sometimes, when there's no one to save them before it's too late, they get lost in their own fantasy.
#sonic prime#genshin impact#enjoy this random brainworm of mine#ok so for those who dont know and to just overall context as to what the fuck all this means basically#Fischl She's a 4* Genshin impact character that I relate to on some deep fucking level#Cause while she had supousedly loving parents#They never really did the parent part of being there for her physically and emotionally most of the time#So she spent most of her time in the library#And reading a children's story book called ''Flowers for Princess Fischl''#Fischl is just a name of a fictional character from said book that the girl with the real name ''Amy'' obsessively read#and assumed the identity of In a little game of play pretend#Exept as Amy's parents were adveturers and therfore rarely home she kinda just stayed costplaying as this princess from another world#and she has a talking raven too but thats a post for another time-#and because of her silly way of dressing and talking she had no real friends so she really just grew up with those books in hand#Just don't be like her parents and tell her that she should grow out of it already#because she will smite you and have a mental breakdown afterwards#anyway that brought me to the thought of nine and how they also could fall into the escapism trap#and i renamed it to flowers for princess Blaze cause shes a girlboss adn a princess just like Fischl#also I have extra thoughts about this#cause nine still and inventor after all#theres like a faint outline of an alt design for nine with offbrand Blaze fit and flamethrowers as cassual weapons strapped under his sleve#instead of the metal tails you know#maybe a silly mechanical bird as a frien wouldt be so bad either#afshghkf you get the jist im done now-#thank you for reading trough all this nonsese#miles nine prower#nine the fox#fischl#genshin fischl#flowers for princess balze

Hey hey! I'm wondering so everyone in monstadt knows who fishl is right? What would they think if she had a older sibling who's protective over her and will throw hands if they say anything about her fantasy world and plays along with her fantasy
I'm sorry she is just so lovable
Fischl with a brother - Genshin headcanons
Tumblr media
A.n.: Thanks for requesting, this was a really interesting idea! Hope I did justice to Fischl^^
Genre: fluff & angst hand in hand
Warnings: Spoilers for Fischl's character stories and her entire lore
I also decided to make the sibling a boy and I gave him strong personality. Now I kinda want to have him as a character in the actual game:')
Since her parents were always away, Fischl spent her entire childhood in the library, turning pages of fantasy books one after another. However, there was someone with her who never let her be completely alone: her brother.
He didn't share the same obsession of books with her but still loved hearing exciting stories and often asked Fischl to read them out loud. When she got tired, they made up games and played together until the sun went down and someone came for them. Their parents left them so easily because they knew Fischl would be in great hands.
At first he took pride in the responsibility he had and willingly took care of his little sister. But as the months and years have slowly passed, he started to become more and more frustrated
He looked around and realised being left alone is not normal. He was still very young when he learned they were neglected by their parents.
He had to grow up way too early. What were fun games first became burdens and he grew impatient waiting for his parents every single day
Then, on his fourteenth birthday what was forgotten by everyone expect Fischl, he decided not to wait for them any more.
He also decided to always be there for his sister and shelter her from their parents’ questionable acts. So he began to speak more fondly of them and every time she asked when she could see the other part of her family, he replied with words similar to “soon” or “don’t worry”
Thanks to him, Fischl didn’t actually sense the lack of love coming from their family because her brother showered her with affection and acted like a parent himself. He soon began to read to her himself, even though he also started to hate all fictional stories where everything was perfect and all children were loved and fine
Years passed. And then one day his always daydreaming, sweet little sister discovered the book Flowers for Princess Fischl.
She became obsessed with the story and read it so many times that she soon knew every word by heart. She idolized the main character and enthused about her a lot. The boy thought it would be just a passing phase and didn’t really care about it that much. His sister loved fantasy books and often played out scenes to him, he believed it was just another story she took a liking in.
It could’ve been. But then their parents came home and father happened to speak a few words that changed the sweet little girl’s life forever.
"Oh, that's a lovely story. Since you like it so much, how about I call you "Fischl" too?" asked their father when his daughter told him about the book.
She loved the idea. But her brother immediately sensed it was troublesome.
And he was right. So far they were just a bit weird in the eyes of the other kids in Mondstadt but after Fischl threw away her real persona to wear a fake one, they became outcasts.
He still said no words. As long as it made her adored sister happy... He did everything to keep the bullies away, even if it sometimes meant he had to get into fights. He was soon greatly feared... and called problematic.
‘I, Fischl, Prinzessin der Verurteilung had witnessed an outrageous incidence calling for a delivery of justice coming from wise prophets.’ Fischl claimed these words out of blue one day. Her brother froze, thinking the bullies might have bothered her but the following sentence calmed him down. ‘Enlighten me, why was your honourable person labeled with such filthy choice of words as “bastard” and “jerk”?’
‘It’s fine’ he replied. ‘Not everyone likes me, you know.’
‘But I, Fischl...’
‘It’s fine, really’ he insisted. ‘Now continue reading, I’m excited to hear what’s going to happen to Ozvaldo, the raven.’
Her brother played along with her and didn’t question anything she said or did but there was one thing he stubbornly denied doing. He never actually called her Fischl.
He was desperate not to lose her sister. He couldn’t just let go of the name that made him want to live on for years. Fischl could be Fischl if she wanted to but she was never going to cease being his only true, original family to him.
Years passed and Fischl became fourteen. Because her brother warned them, their parents didn’t forget about her birhtday. It was only later he wished they did.
That day, his always daydreaming, sweet little sister was forced to grow up, none other than by their parents.
“You are fourteen years old now. It's fun to make-believe, but eventually you need to grow up and put your childish dreams behind you..." said their father.
Her brother was furious. Firstly, their parents neglected them. Then they let Fischl become dilusional. And now they’re breaking her entire world to pieces?!
As much as he wanted his little sister back, he didn’t want things to go this way.
That night he had a huge argument with his parents and let all of his anger and frustration that was built up during long years finally come to light. But after he realised he was getting nowhere with his words, he ran to get Fischl.
He found her in the library, sitting on the floor. Near her there was an electro vision and a raven.
That night was a disaster and he only wished for one thing: to forget it.
The following days felt like hell but then a little light of hope lit up: it started to seem like things would finally turn for the better. Their father got a job in the Adventurer’s Guild for them. His son knew he only did that to lessen the guilt in himself after the argument they had, but Fischl loved being an investigator, so the boy tried to act like he liked it as well.
At first it really was an act but after a while he genuinely started enjoying what he was doing. He realised it was actually much better to discover places himself instead of reading about them in books.
And the guild was surprisingly nice to them as well. Although they joked about it a lot, Fischl’s huge fantasy wasn’t mocked for the first time in her life and the adventurers there made a vocabulary for her too.
Oz and her brother got along well since their goal in life was the same; to protect the Prinzessin der Verurteilung. They were also both great translators of Fischl’s vocabulary and helped people when they had problems understanding the eccentric girl.
He found a friend in Bennett who loved the siblings and accompanied them a lot, bringing excitement to adventures. Kaeya taught him swordsmanship and the boy grew to be a great fighter. As soon as she learned they lived alone, Noelle began caring for them and for the first time in his life, Fischl’s big brother could finally rest a little and care for himself too.
He and Fischl go on a lot of adventures together, exploring the area of Mondstadt, collecting little treasures and fighting evil side by side. They’re inseparable and despite every difficulty, they still always find home in each other.
By the end of the day, the boy always turns to her little sister with a smile on his face and says in a calm, loving tone: ‘The sun is already setting. Let’s go home, Amy.’
