☽ drunk girlfriend annie leonhardt headcanons ☽
annie leonhardt drinks like a 6’6 man when the opportunity arises. she can hold her liquor better than anyone else. she just shrugs her shoulders when you ask her about it.
you can tell when she’s drunk because her cheeks have gone all pink and she looks adorable.
despite her tolerance, there have been nights that you two have spent together in the bathroom. one minute she’s fine, next she’s disappeared to go throw up.
she laughs a little louder.
annie becomes a lot more comfortable with pda after a few drinks. she’ll have a loving hand on your thigh or your pinkies will be intertwined.
she really isn’t into partying or clubbing but she’ll go if shes invited. she prefers to have a few drinks at home with her loved one (that’s u btw.)
surprisingly not an angry drunk and can blow most things off with out starting a fight, at least not that you’ve seen.
she likes to bring up old memories with you. she gets this sparkle in her eyes when she says “hey do you remember when we…”
drunk girlfriend annie is abruptly falling asleep whenever she gets tired and that’s when you know it’s time to take her to bed and tuck her in. she’ll murmur a ‘thank you’ and pull you in with her

(Attack on Titan) Annie, Mikasa, Sasha, Historia, and Ymir with an affectionate S/O
Tumblr media
Hoo it's been a bit since we've seen these gals huh?
Tumblr media
Annie doesn't particularly care that her S/O is very affectionate, at least not in private.
She doesn't get it, but she doesn't stop them either.
Though she's surprised upon hearing S/O's answer to her question.
(Annie) "Without any regrets..."
Annie still makes zero remarks about their clinginess, but she subtly holds them a little tighter from then on.
She won't say it, but she has the same thoughts, to die without regrets for the ones she loves.
Tumblr media
Mikasa gets a bit flustered whenever S/O hugs her, not caring about the PDA to the rest of her squad.
It felt...nice.
When Mikasa asks S/O why they're so clingy, their answer doesn't exactly surprise her. Not in the way most people would expect anyway.
(Mikasa) "Not holding to my arm would be a regret of yours?"
(S/O) "Huh? N-No, I mean just not getting to hug you at all!"
Mikasa's cheeks slightly flush from such an obvious answer getting horribly misunderstood.
(Mikasa) "R-Right."
Mikasa always holds S/O tightly back, even if it does embarrass her a little.
Tumblr media
Sasha does not care at all about the PDA.
She embraces it, and S/O openly.
Connie and Jean usually roll their eyes at their hugging, and try to avert their eyes to avoid dying of cringe.
Sasha on the other hand loves that they're so clingy! Physical affection was nice after all.
But, she wasn't expecting their answer.
(Sasha) "No regrets, huh?...I think I get that."
She says nothing else as she smiles, putting their head onto her shoulders.
Tumblr media
Historia admits S/O's physical gestures were endearing, no matter how ill-timed they seemed to be.
Which was all the time, apparently.
It reminded her a bit of her cadet days, and wished they could go back to that time.
She was already in a somber mood when asking S/O what made them so clingy beside the obvious answer, and simply hums at their response.
(Historia) "I wish to live without regrets as well, S/O...It's all we can do at this point, isn't it?"
Tumblr media
Ymir can't help but laugh and returns their affection with gusto, to hell with anyone watching!
Ymir feels powerful, knowing S/O needed her like this.
She plays up their affection and her role a lot, to the point of looking being overdramatic to anyone watching.
But behind closed doors, her attitude shifts from playful to far more quiet and thoughful.
(Ymir) "Hey, remember when I asked why you're so clingy? Truth is...I'm the same. If we're going to die soon, might as well make sure we live to the fullest before our time's up."

⌗︙・telling annie you love her ⸜⸜・
"aren't you a cute girl?" annie coos at you, her fingers sinking into your cunt. the mirror in front of you shows the whole picture, you with your legs open and annie fingerfucking you. you lean down against her chest, kissing her jawline. she looks down at you, a small smile flashing on her face. you lay your head on her shoulder, "you're also a pretty girl."
your praise throws her off, her fingers stopping.
"stop with that nonsense." she growls, smacking your pussy and making you yelp.
"i love you, annie." you tell her, her cheeks flashing red. she stands from behind of you, throwing you on your bakc and crawling on top of you.
"show me how much you love me by your pretty noises." she smirks before diving in between your legs. she eats you out like a woman starved, naughty smacking filling the whole room. she licks her lips as she latches onto your clit. she fucks it into her mouth, earning a scream out of you.
"tell me you love me." annie basically moans against your pussy.
"i love you."
"louder."
"i love you so much." you scream, clear juice squirting out of you. you shake as you cum, almost suffocating annie in between your legs.
"i love you to, love. let's clean you up." she smile she gives you is genuine and loving, making you adore her even more.

NSFW read at your own risk. Everyone in this is aged up to 21+ AFAB reader. I'm a beginner writer so this isn't the best.
Tumblr media
I can just imagine the AOT girls fighting over who gets to have you first. Its practically a fight to the death that you have no say in. Hange says it should be her because shes the oldest! Ymir and Historia say it should be them because you've known them longest. Each girl has their reason and believes their reason is the better one.
Poor you. An agreement is made, they all get to have you together! You're going to be sore for weeks. You get laid on a bed with nothing but lingerie Hange bought for you. You can feel hands on you, you dont know how many but they're there. A hand slips into your panties and starts rubbing your pussy. You trace the hand back to Sasha who has a big smile on her face.
"Sasha, no. We agreed how we'd so this, I know you haven't forgotten." Ymir pulls Sashas hand away and your whimper at the loss of contact.
Two strong hands grab at your hips pulling you up. "Open your legs up baby, Hange and I are getting your holes first."
You felt a warm haze fall over you as you do what Yelena commands. Hange slowly pulls your panties off, a wet spot very evident. "Aww is this for us, darling? Pretty little thing you are."
You watch as Hange attaches large black dildo to the harness. Oh, oh that wasn't going to fit. "H-hange it's too big!"
You feel a mouth cover yours, Hitch. She pushes her tounge in your mouth before pulling back. "If you want air breath through your nose." That's all she tells you before pushing her tounge back in your mouth.
You whimper and cry into her mouth, but it didn't matter. You feel Hange line up with your pussy and gently push it in. You didn't take all of it, like you expected but she just kept pushing in and pulling out. Slowly she got into a rhythm. You didn't even notice something else lining up with you ass until it was in you.
You let out a choked sob. Too much, and they knew it too. That didn't stop any of them though.
Yelena didn't move, instead she had you warm the toy. You could feel the build up, you were close and fuck did you want it. You start trying to match Hanges pace, trying to rut into the toy like a bitch in heat.
When Hitch finally stopped kissing you and pulled back you noticed the others staring at you. "Hange, Yelena, Hitch! Your times up, it's Mikasa, Annie, and Sashas turn. After you three its Historia, Ymir, and Piecks turn."
You cry out, it was fair! You were so close, they cant just edge you like this!
The two women pull out, you grabbed a hold of Hange as you felt Yelena pull out. It hurt, a lot.
The three move back and place you down on the bed. Three new sets up hands are upon you. You feel someone open your legs up, Sasha presses her tounge into you. "Oh fuck-"
Annie slaps your thigh harshly. Fuck that hurt. "Watch your mouth little girl."
Sasha pulls her tounge out sucks on your clit. Your hands darr toward her hair. You start pushing your hips into her face, you didn't get to come last time and you wanted to oh so badly now.
Mikasa moves behind you kidding and biting you neck. She intends to leave marks. "Your skin is so soft darling, and you look so sensitive. Are you? Are you so sensitive you're going to cum so soon?"
You nod like crazy pushing your further into Sasha. "Please, please, please! I'll be so good s-so g-good for you please!"
Annie grabs Sasha by her hair and pulls her back. "If you want to come, it'll be on this strap. Got that?"
You didn't care, you just wanted to come, no you needed to come. You buck your hips against the strap. "Please, please! Need it s-so bad!"
Tumblr media
I'll let you imagine what's happens after.

summary: The ungrounded mystery grows restless and tensions grow higher with every passing moment.
Author’s note: After 9 different drafts, I have this one lmao. Thank you for everyone sticking close to the story and those who have been anticipating chapter 6. Here it is! and I hope you enjoy. 🍧💕
Tumblr media
“This one.” The Commander said pointing down at the files on his old desk, the decision creating quite a stir between Hange and Levi.
Hange looked at Levi before they approached Erwin’s desk, picking up the document to see what was beneath. They felt their breath catch in their throat, eyes widening before taking a look over to their commander.
“You— You can’t be serious…” Hange was almost speechless. After everything that’s transpired, this man was still marching on his feet.
Levi walked over, questioning the judgement… Until he saw the name on the planner documents…
“Field Medics…?” He took the paper, looking through them to see Erwin’s plans of incorporating medics beside the scouts. These plans seemed vague, but the idea was there in the form of messily drawn pictures and arrows. He wasn’t expecting this and neither was Hange.
“With all due respect, we can’t afford to pull medics out on the field… Do you really think we’ll even get our hands on even ONE?” Hange expressed, motioning with their hands while they spoke. The idea was completely ridiculous! They were practically the clean up crew. Just waiting for the dead to pile up.
Erwin knew their concerns… But, it wasn’t like he hadn’t thought about it before. He turned his back to look out the window, holding the spot where his arm used to be…. The painful reminder of time loss because of injury. Time that could’ve been spent focusing on many other things… Those days, hours and seconds.
“No…But, I know one person that they’ll likely let go.” He turned his head over his shoulder to look at Levi, who slowly went through the next page.
It was a list of names. Names of many of the more proud names within the Medical Regiment. So many good choices, but one was circled amongst these names.
ELINOR VIVIANNE. ← SECONDARY PICK.
LUTHER WAGNER. ← THIRD PICK.
Y/N L/N. ← PRIORITY PICK.
DENIS PENCE. ← KEEP AN EYE ON THIS ONE.
JOHNATHAN ADLER. ← FOURTH PICK.
Hange’s expression grew confused, “But, this one–”
“I know. However, I want this one as a mere test run.” Erwin clarified, showing that nothing was concrete yet. This was just the foundation.
Levi couldn’t seem to get behind it. The factors of this made for a dangerous situation, especially with the rumors. “…I don’t think this is a good idea.” He expressed, his eyes looking up from the papers.
Erwin found himself playing with a fountain pen he had on his desk. “We had them for the expedition. This will be no different.” He reassured, giving a head nod. He seemed to be convincing himself as he spoke along.
“We also lost Levi’s entire squad and then some. Do I need to remind you that this medic in particular is also suspected of being in contact with the titan girl that tried to run away and destroyed half of Stohess?” Hange’s voice slightly raised, a hand extended towards the door as if pointing at Stohess itself. The risks were way too high, but that never stopped Erwin.
Erwin stood up a little straighter, “Then it’s the perfect excuse to use to keep that one close… Isn’t it?” He looked between his two most trusted allies. His hand reached to the paper, pointing down to the name. Hange didn’t know what to say… and Levi? He just followed along. The idea of a on field medic fulltime was an idealistic idea… One that made any one more comfortable… That security.
But, he was not prepared of the other regiment names that would soon come in to deny the idea. They took to a vote; Pixis denied the possibility of wasting medics and soon after, Nile had also denied. His denial was more out of lack of interest than genuine concern…
Not even Zachary approved of the new idea, stating that it would be “Unwise to take away from the sub-regiment when it already lacked.”
In defeat, Erwin would place those plans in a drawer his desk. Letting that ideas seem to sink away with many of the others he had. He had to keep moving forward though, no time to waste. That was until death stopped him like a brick wall. So close, yet so far from the truth…
Y/N followed behind Levi, her eyes scanning around to hallways of the commander’s building. The wood creaked beneath their weight, making the building feel so… Hollow. That was expected though, wasn’t it? An important life was lost… One that used to fill this building.
“Y/N L/N…?” Hange questioned, seeing the young girl enter the room.
Y/N saw papers scattered around the old commander’s desk, a lot of red seemed to point to various things and occasionally the big letters. Her nervousness seemed to only grow from that. I mean, it’s not everyday you get pulled from your job.
With a cautious nod, Y/N stood across the desk, keeping her weight shifted off of her still recovering leg. The pain was dull, but she knew she couldn’t overwork it.
Levi reached over for a particular paper, sliding it in front of the nurse. She leaned down, looking over the paper with a watchful eye. The words were confusing, but when she noticed her name in bold letters… She shockingly backed up and looked at Hange and Levi with a look that asked them what they were planning.
“…A test run. And not one you can refuse either.” Hange explained, picking up another paper to slide over to the new field medic.
Y/N took a sneaking glance back, seeing Levi standing by the door. His eyes bore into her, leaning against the wall with his arms crossed over his chest.
There was that feeling again. That helplessness… Her eyes shifted back up to Hange who seemed to have the same look on their face. She really didn’t have much of a choice here… So, she just nodded. Hange nodded, looking over at Levi to see if he was satisfied. He just nodded his head, being the first to leave.
The weight was on her shoulders now after seeing this idea that was left behind by the old commander…
She couldn’t help but look down at her leg, shifting a bit to see if weight could be applied, but when she felt the buckle of her knee, she shook her head.
‘…I can do this…’ She thought to herself. It’s not like she had a choice here. It was either this or end up in a some fucked up situation… She had enough on her plate already. E/C eyes skimmed through the basics, finally landing on the name of the idea.
“Operation Support.” Her eyes seemed to read over and over again…
——
There was that helplessness again… That weak feeling that bubbled beneath her gut and overwhelmed her straight to the core. She even felt that pain in her leg again… Like every feeling and memory came flooding through from the back of her head…
Her eyes widened upon hearing that familiar voice call out her name… But, she didn’t see Annie… Just the monster that had ruined her…. That beast that haunted her night in her dreams from time to time. Some nights, it would stare down at her. Other nights it tried to grab her, pick her up in its muscly hand.
“Y/N…” Annie called out, her tone hushed and desperate. Hands stayed up in surrender, taking a cautious step forward but immediately stopped when Y/N’s hand adjusted around the grip of the gun. E/C eyes looked through those apathetic blue eyes, The ones that softened at the idea of this being it.
This was her chance… To settle their score. To make up for everything. This was her chance. This was her chance.
Her hand firmly grasped the gun, pointing it up higher towards Annie’s head. Her heart pounded in her ears accompanied with ringing and buzzing… Her breathing became shallow and uneven… Then she felt it.
Her vision grew blurry, her hand reaching up to touch the wetness that started to form there. She was starting to cry… Her throat had that familiar lump in it, making it hard to keep composure.
‘No… Stop…’ Her heart started to yell, but she tried to push the feelings down. Her hand wiped them away, not wanting to show this…This weakness. She wasn’t that pathetic girl writing in a book anymore. Those days were gone.
Annie felt her heart break at the sight. Her hand reaching out, but that made Y/N point her gun more firmly at the ambassador. This made her hands shoot back up to keep them visible. Annie knew that she had to work for Y/N’s trust again. It wouldn’t come easy. Not after what she did.
Annie closed her eyes tightly and braced for whatever was to come. She deserved it, didn’t she? She was the cause of all the troubles in Y/N’s life… The reason she ran away… Hell, she was waiting for her luck to burn out. And now? It seemed to be it.
This was her chance to get back for all the hurt and suffering. her breathing became uneven and her heart pounded in her ears. The white noise. It felt like she was drowning. Y/N couldn’t deny she was panicking…
But then Dakota’s voice pulled Y/N out, the writhing body on the floor let the tunnel vision clear up a bit. Her eyes looked down to the body on the ground.
“We’re… We’re here to help…” Dakota strained, holding her head in her hands from the throbbing pain that lingered. Kota couldn’t let Y/N kill Annie, not when they needed her for this whole thing… The main problem. “She’s…She’s with me… Marley’s Ambassador…” Kota stressed, seeing double when they tried to push themselves up. Hell, it felt like a brick just slammed into their head. What the hell were they feeding these doctors??
Her grip around the gun shook further, her heart telling her to stop while her brain told her it was for the best. Reluctantly, she forced her hand down and took in the sight of the newly made ambassador.
“Y/N—” Annie spoke with a calming reach out, but then they heard the sound of more people coming into the building and speaking.
BAM!
The noise made both Annie and Kota look over towards the door. Dakota was quick on the draw of her own firearm, eyebrows furrowing down.
Whoever wanted Y/N dead was very adamant on it. Especially, since it didn’t sound like just one persom this time. That alone pissed Y/N off.
The doctor had to fight with herself to keep from giving that ambassador a feel of her pent of frustration and anger… But, now wasn’t the time. All she did was give Annie a glare while she helped the bandit up from the floor, Kota taking it without much of a second thought and standing to her feet with a bit of wobble.
The glare was met with Annie’s softened expression, taking a moment to watch as the woman she once had so close to her, farther than ever before. The limp-walk past her made the weight of her actions heavier than ever. The sound of leather and metals kept Y/N’s right leg stable, helping her move properly with some minimal strain.
“She might develop a little limp… If you can convince her to stay in bed for her full recovery then maybe she might recover better... She’s always so eager to help out.”
Her hands clenched at her sides, as the memory of a bedridden Y/N laid in the infirmary bed. The way her face glistened in sweat and her head threw back in pain…. She couldn’t convince her… Not when she was trapped in that crystal…
She didn’t even notice the other two already rushing the window, Kota pulling up the window and checking below into the alleyway for any signs of a threat. It was empty. Nothing but a few stacked up crates and barrels below.
“Good enough.” The gang leader debated, shaking her head at the thought of Y/N potential falling a few feet down. Hell, they were sure she would land well… She guessed.
Annie’s mind was still dazed out. It felt like they stood on completely opposite sides of a canyon. The bridge being deliberately burned away, Y/N holding the matches that burnt the ropes thinner and thinner.
“Annie! Help her down.” Kota called, holding open the window. That snapped Annie back into the moment, her eyebrows furrowing down. She can pity herself later… Hopefully.
Without any time to waste, Annie rushed over to Y/N’s side. “Pardon my hands…” Annie softly spoke, keeping her hand on Y/N’s waist while she focused on ensuring she didn’t fall or trip. Y/N wasn’t used to the closeness, but she knew she couldn’t be annoyed about it.
“We know you’re here, Doc Let’s not make this harder than it has to be, hm?” One of the intruders spoke, a few laughing along. The sound of wood creaking beneath every step that drew closer and closer to the office.
The rugged man looked back at his men, placing a finger to his lips. He gave three fingers, signaling that on the count of three they would rush the office and take whoever was in it.
Slowly, the fingers counted down, the tensions growing higher before finally they rushed inside. Guns pointed up, sweeping before noticing that the room was empty. Nothing but a few disarrayed item and one of their own on the floor.
“Sir?” One of the goons spoke, rushing to the side of the corpse on the floor. Another goon joined beside the other, placing a hand to the fallen member’s pulse, shaking their head when all they felt was a cold vessel.
The man grimaced, putting his gun back in his belt. “I want this entire building checked. Nothing remains unturned or touched. You hear!?” He commanded, unaware of the shadows outside the windows that were already pushing through the alleyways to blend in.
“Whoever you pissed off, did not let it go.” Dakota muttered as they pushed through a wooden gate, leading them out into some cobbled street that had a few drunks walking up and down it.
Y/N just rolled eyes, taking a moment to ditch her uniform coat in a nearby bucket that seemed to be filled with a questionable liquid. Her face grimaced in disgust, turning back to catch up. She won’t be seeing that particular coat again. Unfortunate…
Annie stayed behind, keeping a look out to ensure no one followed them. “That didn’t seem like a matter of anger… More like a…” She seemed to trail off, turning her attention back to see Y/N looking back at her with a frustrated expression. “…Like a job.” She silently spoke, watching the doctor turn her head back forward.
The tension between the two even made Dakota uncomfortable. That was between them though, this bandit knew better than to try and step into a fight between a couple. Were they a couple…? Was that how it worked? She wasn’t sure.
“I wouldn’t be surprised.” Dakota rubbed the side of their head. They could still feel that sting, more dull but it was still there. “Doesn’t make sense for them to target a random doctor, though.” They added, taking a stop by some old building pub.
Dakota leaned against the brick, enjoying a moment of rest. Annie needed it too as she felt her wound from a few hours ago to feel achy and fatigue was surely pushing her.
She took a look upwards, only seeing the dark sight of the ground that lingered above… The underground didn’t have a sky… What time was it? Even she wasn’t sure… But, it felt like the days seemed to prolong. If she had to trust her gut, then she was sure that Pieck and Reiner were likely resting.
With that thought in mind, she took a moment to take a seat down on a bench placed against the brick like building, her hand rubbing at her shoulder. She even took a sneaking glance over at her old lover, watching as the young woman took slight offense to the comment. Y/N’s stance seemed to straighten up, her expression one that Annie knew all too well.
That look when she wanted to prove herself. She had it back in Trost… She had it here too.
‘I’m not a random doctor.’ Y/N signed, the look of surprise hitting the bandit and the ambassador. The blonde looked at Y/N with her eyebrows slightly raised in surprise, not expecting the change of communication. Though, that would make the most sense why she didn’t carry an old book around and a pen, wouldn’t it?…
Dakota knew there was something about how Y/N stood, her demeanor… It wasn’t like the other doctors she had been speaking to. Not Vivianne. Not even Adler..
Pushing themselves off the wall, Dakota approached Y/N, stopping just in front of her and looking down at her with an overbearing demeanor. “…Then who are you?” Dakota finally asked. There it was, the golden question. Everyone knew her as Y/N L/N above ground… But, who was this persona? This mask? Dakota was careful in approaching the mute doctors. One couldn’t be too hasty to learn the truth.
The bandit seemed to want the same answers as Annie, but even then the ambassador seemed to want to respect the boundaries her old lover clearly had. She still kept a close eye.
The doctor stood there, clenching her jaw a bit from the sudden interrogation. It even had her thinking to herself, wondering who exactly she was… But, she knew… She was a lot of things… Became a lot from nothing too.
So, seeing a smug bandit try to slightly intimidate her into spilling her life out on a map irked her a bit. It showed on her face too. Her tongue licking the inside of her cheek, she looked away briefly before she looking back up at the tall woman with more than just a little amusement. A woman who knew her position, she was. Perhaps, she picked up a few things from Dr. Vivianne.
‘The same person who slipped you a crate. Same person you want to stay on good terms with.’ She signed, her eyes challenging.
The action made Annie raise her brows, looking over to Dakota. The crate.. Then those names flashed into her mind for a few seconds. Denis and Luther…. They were all connected. The bandit seemed to suddenly have a moment of realization as well, her face contorted with a bit of confusion from that end statement though.
“…Is that a threat?” Fabel flabbergasted at the mere thought of some medic threatening to fuck off in the middle of something so important. They took a threatening step forward, feeling almost offended.
Hands started to make the argument more clear, her body turning to the two. ‘Take it how you wish. Just know you need me since I’m the only one willing to break the rules to help you.’ She reaches into her vest pocket, pulling out a letter. Her eyes stared at it before flicking her wrist to toss the letter over.
Annie watched as the letter descended gracefully down to the ground, her curiosity getting the better of her. “…What?” Annie questioned, standing up from the bench and walking over to pick up the paper from the ground. Her eyes looked up to meet her old lover’s E/C gaze, her hands gently unfolding the letter.
‘With much consideration, Main Medical has decided to postpone the distribution and cooperation with other outside parties. All medics and medical researchers are advised to stay in their offices or main buildings until further notice.
— Signed, Elinor Vivianne. Head of MM.’
Y/N shook her head, her eyes averting away at the mere thought of even getting her position revoked. ‘Everyone is completely at a standstill… Dr. Vivianne is more concerned with how much we’ve been losing because of these crates being either stolen or damaged. Every doctor, besides a few, are completely in agreement with Dr. Vivianne. They want out. This attack on my building will only solidify their stance on the matter.’ Her gestures seemed to be punctuated, her mouth moving along to mouth certain words and phrases. The doctor even started to pace a bit, needing to get some pent up feels at bay. She wasn’t happy about the decision either.
Dakota couldn’t believe that bullshit. Face contorted into frustration, feeling a bit betrayed. Hazel eyes took a look over the letter again, shaking her head in slight denial.
What ever happened to being the ones to show up for people? The heros that kept morale up? What the hell were doctors if they weren’t doing their job?
“Vivianne… That son of a bitch.” Dakota cursed under their breath, hands clenched at her side while she looked away.
Annie wasn’t sure what to make of this… “…She’s right about one thing,” Annie spoke, folding the notice back up before holding it out back at Y/N. “Those men don’t seem to be very fazed with the idea of taking lives. That crate you sent us was attacked… I… Uh.. We barely made it out. It was as if they already knew.” She watched as Y/N hesitated to reach out and take the letter back from her.
Fabel nodded, pacing a bit with a hand to their mouth as they tried to make sense of all this. “Annie here got shot… Those men aren’t afraid of any kind of consequence. Seems like everywhere we go, they’re always one step ahead.” The gang leader found themselves running a frustrated hand through their hair, stopping to look back over at the Medic.
Y/N felt her throat close up at the idea of Annie getting shot, her eyes shifting back up to meet with Annie’s gaze. Annie wasn’t sure what she saw in those familiar E/C colored eyes. It was softer than anything she’s seen all day though...
“I’ll be fine… Just a scratch…” She tried to play it off, getting a more concerned and less angry look from the other girl.
Y/N didn’t find it funny. If anything, that would make everything so much more complicated. Hell, she didn’t even know where to start… She carefully took her letter back from Annie’s fingers, pushing the paper into her vest pocket once more with a heavy exhale.
‘If they’re not afraid of consequences, then that means they’re either safe in what those consequences are… or, these people are more ruthless than I thought…’ Y/N explains with punctuated gestures. Hazel and blue eyes watched carefully as the doctor seemed a bit… Hesitant.
Dakota crossed their arms over their chest, “You have any idea what gang this is?” The gang leader asked.
Y/N shook her head, ‘Only lead I have so far is that they’re uniformed in black and red.’ Her head turned back in the direction of her medical building. She felt a little run from her own home… That was the building she used whenever she wanted to have control. She knew it would probably be burned to the ground when she came back.
“I don’t think standing around is be the best idea. More of them could be patrolling around.” Annie spoke up, standing up from the bench with a bit of a tired exhale. She cracked her neck, rolling her shoulders back as if it would relieve her.
Dakota nodded, “You’re right. Hopefully, this all starts to make sense when we’re actually in the safety of a room and not the street.” The bandit sighed, reaching for her gun and handing it over to Annie. “Try not to get this one shot out of your hand, yeah?” The gang leader teased, watching Annie flush a bit with embarrassment as she accepted it.
‘Let’s take a carriage or a wagon… I need a place to lay low… I can’t just go back to the MM if my trail is still hot.” The mute doctor gestured, fixing her leg brace a bit. The damn thing always needed to be adjusted, working and walking so much always didn’t help.
Annie waited while Dakota whistled up for a wagon, watching some old man ride up to side of the street.
“Do you need help?” Annie finally asked, getting waved off by the mute doctor. There was no direct rejection, just a wave of the hand while she approached the wagon.
“Take us Northwest. I’ll stop you when we get there.” Dakota asked as she jumped into the back, holding her hand out for Y/N to grab. Y/N took it without much of a complaint, allowing herself to be helped into their ride.
The coachman nodded, “Will do.”
Dakota got seated besides some sacks of imported goods, knee bent with an arm on it. “We’ll stop by my Uncle’s… I’m sure he’ll be glad to take up some company…” She explained, running a hand through her hair.
Y/N nodded, finding a comfortable spot near a barrel of what she believed was probably wine. At least she hoped so, a drink right about now sounded nice.
“Northwest is near the entrance to the city, isn’t it?” Annie asked, holding onto the strap of her satchel before finally getting settled up into the back of the wagon with the others. So much has changed since then… But, she couldn’t complain. She didn’t really have the right to.
‘And Main Medical. It’s some ways from it… Smack in the middle of this city… We actually cleared out one of the old brothel buildings for it… A big one. When we’re rested and ready, we can head there… Get us all on the same page with Dr. Vivianne and Dr. Adler.’ Y/N signed, her head leaned against the barrel beside her.
Dakota motioned with their hand, agreeing along with what the doctor said. “A meeting was long overdue…. She’s always avoided speaking with me directly. Dr. Adler and I are practically best buddies with how often I’ve seen him.” There was a spoken sarcasm that made Y/N shake her head, understanding what Dakota meant perfectly. Vivianne was practically a book of tasks. Always sending others to do the things she didn’t want to… Perfect example was this… Though it was deliberate, Y/N didn’t mind getting her hands dirty if it meant doing the right thing. Vivianne’s word wouldn’t stop her.
Annie hummed, taking a sneaking glance over to Y/N, who seemed to want to rest a bit on the ride to Dakota’s Uncle’s house. She didn’t want to stare, but it was strange…Seeing her again after such a long time… She looked good. Annie still liked how she styled her hair… How her E/C closed to just… Rest and breathe for a moment. Of course, she was pulled out of her moment when she saw Dakota smirking at her. That knowing glance the bandit made her way ruined it.
It made her embarrassed, making her turn her head away with her cheeks growing red flush..
With a snap of the reigns, they were on their way. Thankfully the cover of the wagon would provide them some relief from anyone who could see them pass by.
——
Adler bursted through the door, panting and pointing behind him. He was so out of breath from running everywhere, still empty handed though.
Dr. Vivianne placed her clipboard down and just waited for the theatric display to end, leaning a hand against her desk while the other rested on her hip.
“Eastern Building…. It… Phew…” He started his sentence, leant forward with his hands on his knees. He couldn’t even hold enough air in to make a cohesive sentence.
Of course, this just annoyed Vivianne. “Spit it out.” She urged, tone stern and punctual with it.
“Eastern building got raided.” Adler finally spit it out, holding a hand to his chest. The news made Vivianne’s eyes widen a bit, her expression growing a little confused.
“Raided? What do you mean "raided?” The ash haired doctor questioned, her head tilted forward as if demanding some kind of explanation.
The blonde doctor just shook his head, standing up a bit straighter. “I was doing what you said… Trying to find Y/N… So, I went to her building…But then, I noticed a whole bunch of men rush the building… I booked it out of there….” Adler explained, pacing a bit while he spoke. His conscience felt guilty. He ran off like a coward and probably let these… Rats kill one of their own.
Vivianne seemed lost for words. Her eyes looked away as she processed the news, feeling a sinking feeling in her gut at the thought of one of the original three being gone to something so…. so preventable. Her brain wanted to think logically about this, but her heart didn’t seem to agree.
“…Do you know for sure that Dr. Quil was in that building?” Vivianne questioned in a monotone voice, her head tilting slightly.
Adler couldn’t say for sure. “…I… I would like to hope not… But, I wouldn’t be surprised if they’re starting to hurt the supply at the source.” He said his thoughts, his shoulders slumping slightly as he stood. His eyes grew worrisome. The idea of anyone becoming a target… He avoided the war for that reason… He didn’t want to be a target.
Vivianne felt bitter, her eyes closing for a moment. “…Start telling the staff to start closing everything up.” She says, standing up straighter. “Tell them that it’s urgent as well. I don’t want a single doctor left behind.” Her hand pulled a document from her desk, pushing it into one of the drawers with a slight of hand.
Adler looked at Vivianne with a confused expression, his eyebrows knitting together. “…What about the crates?… Surely, we can’t just… Leave them?” He asked, curious if they were going to just leave them there.
Vivianne nodded, “Don’t worry about that. Until we get definite confirmation that Dr. Quil is dead. We will proceed with clean-up here. Priority documents come first. Crates can collect dust for all I care. They’re not worth the sacrifice of the other good doctors here.” Her way of explaining the situation made Adler feel a little more at ease. He nodded his head in agreement. The earlier they got out, the better.
“Now leave me be… I need… Uh…” Vivianne looked around a bit lost, her eyes looking down at her desk. “I need to be alone for a little while…” She took a seat in her chair, her elbows resting on the surface of her cluttered desk and her hands clasping together as if in prayer. Her heart felt heavy. It felt like everything was going downhill from here.
Dr. Adler nodded his head, immediately leaving to go start the prep up for evac. There was a lot of equipment to be packed away. Transportation was also going to be a little tight, but as long as people were able to leave then it didn’t matter.
Vivianne stared at the door of her office, her eyes closing tightly as flashbacks to when she first met Y/N had suddenly triggered.
——
“Luther, Denis, Vivianne, and Adler. You’re being requested over to The Scouts Main Quarters. Please go ASAP.” The head medic spoke, flipping through a wooden clipboard as he stood at the doorway.
Vivianne pulled her mask down and looked over, her expression growing confused. “Wh-What do they need us for…?” She questioned, taking off her blood soaked gloves.
The man looked up at Vivianne, shaking his head in disapproval. “Does it matter? If I say to go, you go.” He spoke firmly, making the girl slightly purse her lips together as if to hold back on being disrespectful.
She only nodded, looking back down at the soldier that was missing an arm from an expedition… Survived, but now retired… It was unfortunate. “Rest easy…” She softly spoke, patting his shoulder before she turned and left the room.
In the hallway, Luther and Denis seemed to be messing around a bit, pushing and shoving each other. Adler stood with his hand adjusting his glasses, keeping a cocky explanation on his face as they waited for Vivianne.
“You coming, slowpoke? We’re waiting on you.” Denis said, wrapping an arm around Luther’s shoulder.
Adler scoffed, “At least try to act professional, Denis…” The blonde man spoke, his expression showing his disdain for how casual the two were being.
Luther rolled his eyes, “You act like we’re seeing the Queen. Get your breeches untangled and let loose, will ya? I swear, all I ever hear you do is complain.” The taller man spoke, Denis laughing a bit from his friend’s observation.
Adler just gritted his teeth, shaking his head. He adjusted his glasses once more, “You ready?” Adler asked Vivianne, wanting this done and over with as soon as possible.
Vivianne gave a quick nod, catching up with the three.
She remembered the debriefings they were subjected to with Commander Hange. The eccentric way the commander handled themselves made Luther and Denis more excited for this sudden call.
But, Vivianne was very… suspicious. Becoming a field medic sounded crazy… All this confidentiality also rubbed her wrong. What the hell were they hiding?
“Given the circumstances, I will give you the opportunity to back out… However, you 4 were hand picked because of your overall evaluations back when you were in training as well as your medical expertise. This is for progress… A trial we conducted a few time before. It will be the first on field medical team.” Hange explained with a more serious tone, pushing a paper towards the four medics.
Luther was the first to raise his hand, “Is it just us…? Or will there be more?” He asked, making Vivianne give him a side-eye.
Hange paced a bit, nodding their head. “I will only say that you have a captain.” They stopped, motioning towards the door. “Unlike you all, she didn’t necessarily have a choice in the matter whether she joined or not.”
Adler shook his head, standing up. “I rather value my life. I would find it a waste to leave it in the hands of some… Scout. Thank you for the offer though. Hopefully, you can find some other fool to take my place.” His reluctance made Vivianne want to leave as well, finding the idea of fighting alongside The Scouts to be so foolish. A death sentence handed down on a gruesome platter, that’s basically what it was.
As Adler left, Vivianne debated with herself. She too could live a comfortable life.. A life with no worries besides the worries that came in through doors in the arms of fellow comrades…
“Damn… I really thought I sold the idea. Anyone else?” Hange sighed, pushing up their goggles to rub their eyes. Handa landed on their hips, looking amongst the younger men and at Vivianne.
The room stayed quiet, Luther soon reaching to the table to grab the paper of the plans. Vivianne watched him debate it, soon just nodding. “Fuck it… I’m in.” He stood up, tossing the paper back onto the table. Vivianne just watched as Denis followed through too.
“Me too. I’ll join too!” Denis said with a confident fist to his chest. His lips held a self-assured smile too, pushing Luther with his arm, who then pushed him back.
‘What the…’ She thought they were crazy. Why the hell would they want to go beyond the walls? The safety was all here. They had the easy part of just sitting and waiting, cleaning and tending…. But, she hadn’t denied the offer yet… So, was she crazy too? Was it some weird curiosity?
Her eyes then met up with the commander’s, “What about you?” Hange asked, holding out a hand to her. Vivianne wasn’t sure what she was doing, but she grabbed that hand, sealing the deal of her participation.
She remembered how the team was escorted throughout the barrack building. Faces that were familiar passed by, making Vivianne stare more with interest. She didn’t expect them to be so close to such big names… Hell, she even thinks she saw Mikasa there.
“Holy hell, that’s literally Levi.” Denis grabbed Luther’s arm, shaking him slightly. As they approached the closed door that Levi seemed to guard, his back leaned against the wall.
“Is this them?” Levi asked, Hange nodding their head. “One didn’t take the offer, but we’ll still have 4.” Hange answered, adjusting their uniform coat. “Baby steps as they say.” Adding to the conversation, they looked back at the squad behind.
Vivianne saw how Hange placed a stack of papers in Levi’s hand. “Perfect.” He said, looking through them briefly before he finally opened the door.
Vivianne looked around, taking in the sight of the lab that seemed to have been built there. A lot of beakers… A lot of scrap metal too… It felt like they just walked into a madman’s science experiment.
But, it was a lot crazier than that.
The figure at the desk lifted their head up and turned to look over their shoulder, soon meeting eyes with her. And suddenly, she felt breathless.
Hange ensured the door was closed behind them, taking the initiative to walk over to the desk.
“Your captain for this operation is Y/N L/N.” Levi spoke, his hands at his sides. He kept it short and blunt, there wasn’t a need for everyone to be getting comfortable. Not yet, anyways.
Vivianne watched how the quiet persona in the room pushed back a pair of goggles from her face before turning to look at the group before her. Judgemental eyes stared, nodding as if she was satisfied.
“You’re the—” Vivianne spoke up, recognizing that face from the bulletin board. The mute doctor placed a finger to her lips and just hushed.
Y/N stood up, the sound of a heavy boot came with every step. Vivianne wasn’t sure what she felt… Was it envy? There was something in how Y/N carried herself despite being the one with the greatest disadvantage in the room.
She wanted to capture it. She wanted it to herself.
——
Annie stayed seated on a small bed that Uncle Miles provided, a hand covering her chest while Y/N took a look at the wound on her shoulder. She felt a few stings whenever the mute doctor touched the surely scarred skin.
‘Whoever did this was surely an amateur.’ Y/N gestured, looking over at the bandit that was enjoying a little meal that her uncle had provided. It felt good to be back at home eating all this good food.
“…Sorry, not everyone has experience.” Dakota said, licking their thumb from the sauce that the stew had. Nothing like a good meal to end the day. They stood by the window, looking out at the street. It was always entertaining to see people interact while they ate.
Y/N was thankful she had the proper supplies to start cleaning the wound. So, she started with that first. Having to remove stitches was a bit of a pain, but she knew it was better than letting Annie walk around with busted up looking stitches.
Annie had trouble keeping her eyes averted, always finding herself unconsciously getting distracted by how Y/N would occasionally bite her lip or how her face concentrated on cleaning the inflamed area with a washcloth. The touch enough to make Annie slightly wince and squint her eyes away.
“I just wished it didn’t hurt so bad.” Annie softly muttered, staying still while Y/N worked.
From a professional standpoint, Y/N was a bit concerned about a potential problem. The wound was definitely not correctly treated, and the old sutures were practically loose and tied too big. But, personally, she couldn’t say that Annie didn’t deserve it. A little mean, but she was allowed to be angry.
“So when are we addressing the problem with Vivianne?” Dakota asked, tossing her plate down on her desk with the others once she was finished with her meal. Her hands wiped themselves on her pants, walking over to stand over the doctor and ambassador.
Y/N finished up the cleaning, putting her washcloth down in a bucket beside them. Her attention moved over to Dakota, not sure what they were expecting.
‘Whenever I can get back. I should be able to talk to her about this… She cannot know about the attack on my building though. If she does, I’ll be stuck in the offices and I won’t be able to help you.’ Y/N explained, standing up from the bed and using a small cloth to wipe her hands. ‘She won’t be easy to persuade, but she’s never been easy.’ Y/N signed once more, sighing at the fact she needed to go head to head with her of all people. Adler, she didn’t care much for. She could debate with him whenever and wherever… Vivianne was more hardheaded. A woman bound by a weird sense of leadership. She held every nurse with an iron grip. Not her though. She could never hold her down.
Dakota hummed, “Tell me about it.” her eyes looking back over at Annie who seemed to be checking out her new sutures. However, her eyes were focused a bit more on Y/N.
Annie was stuck in a little world of her own at the moment, trying to process everything that’s happened. Everything that will happen. “Who is Dr. Vivianne?” Annie questioned, her head tilting a bit. She hadn’t heard of the name. Nor did she read about it… This was someone completely new.
Y/N could’ve answered that question in a multitude of ways, but she didn’t. She just stood there and shook her head, ‘Head of the Medical Division. She took after Henry Belis when he died after the war.’ She gestured, not very fond of the history. Especially, not when her and Vivianne had so much of it.
“…So she’s your mentor?” Annie stood up from the bed, adjusting her clothes to cover up with just the fix of some buttons on her shirt.
Y/N shook her head once more, almost finding that idea a bit funny. ‘No. If anything she’s just a person in the big chair.’ Her hand gestures showed a little more of the sadder truth of this story.
A constant shift in power always made its way between Adler, Vivianne and Y/N. Either it was a battle of different approaches to certain things, or just Vivianne putting her foot down…. Y/N always had no choice but to listen.
Dakota took a step forward, a hand gesturing towards Annie. “What she means is, she’s a hothead with too much power. Haven’t thought of one instance where she’s not sending Adler to me. A control freak. Always up my ass about quite literally everything that happens as if I don’t have it all under a watchful eye.” The bandit scoffed.
Y/N knew that Dakota and Vivianne were also on opposite sides of the fence. It wasn’t anything new though.
“…She doesn’t sound… nice.” Annie commented in a weird blunt way that made Y/N give a small exhale of amusement. The blonde’s interest suddenly hyperfixed on that little action, her mind blanking a bit.
Y/N then shook her head, ‘She’s the product of someone who lets expectations cloud judgment… Someone who let their promotion go straight to her head.’ She signed with her eyes averted, crossed her arms after while making her way over to the window. Her mind always drifted back to the past… How, she constantly felt the weight on her shoulders as she did back then. Why was it always her making tough decisions? She never had a moment to just… Be.
“Y/N, I want you to lead the Medical Research Council.”
That offer was the downfall of the bonds they used to hold. When it became more about competition than about actually helping. Who was better and who could fill the shoes that were left. Y/N remember denying the position… Wanting to live a quieter life. The occasional job here and there… But, now here she was. Fighting against her own moral compass and risking her job because she’s never been one to leave others behind. Not now, not ever. She was thankful that Luther and Denis shared that principle.
She was tired.
Dakota could see that look in Y/N’s face. How her eyebrows furrowed down, a look of lost confidence. “…You two have history then?” She finally asked, making Y/N’s head turn away.
Annie stayed quiet, just wanting to know anything that Y/N would give her… Anything that book never told. Those continued chapters. She just… She needed to know.
And Y/N told them.
‘We worked together for a while. I was under the watchful eye of Commander Hange, placed to be a field medic and soon captain for a squad … She was… my partner. Someone I could trust at the time… A voice almost.’ Her gestures were careful, her face showing a mixture of emotions. But, she didn’t miss those moments. ‘At least, that’s what I thought at the time… But, when you’re running for someone else, you forget to walk. She forgot to walk and instead took the opportunity to fly… Hasn’t come down since.’ Her way of telling the story made Annie feel like she got a good punch to the gut. Like she was too late.
Dakota was surprised, head almost jolting back a bit from the information shared. That made a whole lot more sense now…. Why couldn't they find anything based on the missing parts of this “case.”
“You were been quietly stationed…? Why the hell would they do that?” Dakota was so fucking confused. In what universe, does making someone go missing create a benefit?
Annie was struggling to understand as well, her expression contorting with its own confusion. “That doesn’t make sense…” Annie started her thought, pointing towards Y/N, who in turn turned to look directly at the ambassador.
“I was working with the scouts during the rumbling… They said they never saw you...” Annie could remember it easily. Jean didn’t know. Connie didn’t know. Mikasa was the one who told her that Y/N’s been… Armin even said the same thing….
Y/N took a step forward, ‘What did you expect the friends of a former enemy to do?… I was working and had you come after me, you would’ve been killed.’ She knew her words were coming off a bit hostile, maybe even a bit bitter… But, she was… She was allowed to be. That was the truth. She had bigger responsibilities than
Dakota stayed quiet though, taking a place against the wall with her arms folded over her chest. She wanted to see how this entire thing unfolded, but kept a watchful eye on if it got… Too heated between the two.
Annie shook her head, “You weren’t my…” She then stopped herself, because at the time… They were enemies. They fought on different sides of the walls. Y/N stood a little taller, her eyes looking into Annie. The same way they used to when she couldn’t promise anything. It made Annie speechless.
There was a pregnant pause before Y/N tilted her head, hands signing her thoughts. ‘I liked to keep my whereabouts private… That was until recently… With the war over and a lot of the members no longer here… Now, I am just a doctor and rep for medical research.’ The mute doctor’s footsteps grew closer to Annie, the two eventually standing face to face. As much as it pained her to mention the death of her mentor and practically her guardian Hange, it was true. After the war on Marley… Y/N’s squad was disbanded to focus full time on other things.
Annie’s eyes softened up, her eyes unconsciously moving downwards towards the lips of the other woman. “And what was so important?… I could think of many instances where people needed a medic and you just weren’t there.” Annie questioned with a more sharpness in her tone. Her eyes looked back up into Y/N’s eyed again, their gazes strong enough to probably light a flame.
‘Who do you think delivered the queen’s heir?’ Y/N’s response made Dakota have a little outburst, her head shaking in disbelief. She pushed herself off from the wall and approached the doctor with an accusatory tone. “Bullshit! Everyone knows that Dr—” Her voice stopped immediately, eyes showing a shocking realization. That’s when Dakota’s hand soon pointed directly at the mute doctor, the doctor holding a prideful smile.
Annie’s eyes shifted to Dakota, trying to understand what revelation they had just came upon… Then she heard it. A name she’s heard of before.
“Dr. Quil…” Dakota’s realization rang in her voice, expression showing the new information boggled her mind. The documents were shredded because Y/N didn’t exist in the corp…. Y/N and Dr. Quil didn’t exist at the same time. They couldn’t.
“Dr. Quil helped me out with my bent out leg. I’d recommend seeing her if you need a check-up.”
The memory made Annie’s body feel suddenly cold. Her eyes finding themselves downcast and her hands at her sides in the shape of fists. Hiding in plain sight… Then she remembered what Dakota said to her when she was tied up in that chair.
“Name has been dead for a long time….” Annie spoke under her breath, trying to take in everything… But, It was too… Too much.
‘Marley was lovely, by the way. I find it crazy I made it there before you did.’ Y/N was just fucking with Annie now, the tension starting to grow the more that Y/N revealed. Annie immediately grabbed Y/N by her shirt collar, staring at her old lover with a more cold gaze. Was she mocking her?
The threatening look didn’t make Y/N flinch, she wasn’t the same person she was before… Annie had to accept that… There was no journal writing, no walks through the snow, no late night visits that ended up in a tangle of limbs… They were strangers. A clean slate. They didn’t recognize each other. That’s what years did to something that wasn’t fully established.
“Amby…” Dakota placed a hand on Annie’s chest, keeping her voice steady to calm Annie’s overwhelming emotions. But, It was all just too much to take in. Her fists clenched harder, her eyes wide and she was spiraling a bit.
But, it wasn’t. They were just battle-hardened creatures now… Both had their secrets. ‘Be mad that I lied, Sure. But, you can’t be mad at me for doing the same shit you did to me.’ Y/N was right. She wasn’t any better… They were the same coin, different sides. Annie couldn’t be mad that Y/N took a more respectable route of things.
“Annie.” Dakota’s voice raised, stern and hushed as to not disturb her uncle who was probably in his own sorrows with his mourning.
“You act like I didn’t care.” Annie’s voice wavered in their justifications. “I didn’t fucking leave you because I wanted to!”
‘You left because you knew you couldn’t stand to tell me the truth. You couldn’t even be honest with me when I got hurt because of you.’ Y/N’s words struck into her like daggers. And they were right… Annie was the biggest coward. The one that ran away because it got too complicated and the fact Y/N saw that and looked down on her… She didn’t know what to say.
Dakota’s hand pushed against Annie’s chest again, “That’s enough.” The bandit wasn’t going to let this continue, making Annie finally let go of her old lover’s shirt. Y/N even swatted Annie’s hands away, the sounds of breaths heavy coming from the two lovers. Dakota pushed them away from each other, pointing a finger at the blonde then at the H/C as if they were dogs. Both just back off, staring at each other from past Dakota.
The doctor fixed her collar, dusting herself off while she took that moment to breathe. She knew Annie could easily overpower her, did she care? No. She knew she had the upper hand. They both were in a position that couldn’t be replaced. Both were important people… With powerful names…
“Let me remind you both that we don’t need this. I get it! You’re pissed off at her. She’s hung up on you… But, right now??? We have shit we got to do.” The gang leader motioned between the two, hazel eyes meeting up with the doctor’s. “Doctor?” Dakota spoke to move the attention from Annie to herself, cautiously holding out their hand to the disheveled woman. Y/N just looked down at it with a stubborn glare. A little parley on their personal matters… How fun.
“We get this done, you both can sit… Maybe, have a nice coffee above ground about it. Hell! Kill each other afterwards if you really want to! I don’t give a damn. Now, we know what we need. We need to rest, wake up and have that meeting with Vivianne with no delay.” The way Fabel spoke really showed that they knew how to keep the game fair. That’s how they liked it. Fair, sweet and short. None of this back and forth.
Annie licked the inside of her cheek, still feeling that bubbling annoyance in her gut. She was also smacked with guilt and doubt. She just nodded, crossing her arms over her chest. It’s not like she wanted to fight her. and Y/N didn’t want to fight her either… She was exhausted.
“Deal?” Dakota asked, eyebrows raising to show a more neutral face to the doctor. She didn’t want to seem like she picked a side, there was no sides.
With much contemplation, Y/N reached over to shake the bandit’s hand. She can play nice for a bit. E/C eyes met up with blue soon after, ‘I know a nice cafe we can go to when this is all over. I’m guessing you like it with extra sugar?’ The doctor signed to Annie, making the ambassador suddenly look taken aback.
“How did you—?” Annie was caught off guard, head turning to follow as Y/N walked past her to start getting their stuff together for bed. She might not have realized, but Y/N still remembered her sweet tooth. Not that she would admit it.
Dakota shook their head, rolling their eyes as they left the two to get their shit together. The bandit was expecting a cute reunion, maybe some fighting with a little bit of declarations of love… No, just got a headache. A massive one.
“Hey, Uncle. Do you have rope?” Dakota asked, coming down the stairs to see the older man at his workstation. His eye looked over to the younger Fabel, placing down an axe head he was sharpening.
“What do you need rope for?…” He asked, watching as Dakota made her way over. She stopped across the work bench, hands in her pockets with her eyes looking at all the new things her uncle had been busying himself with.
“I got two dogs that need to get along. Figured I would just tie them up until they did…” Her hands picked up a shiny blue steel knife with a beautiful redwood handle. She gave it a few practice swings, testing how the blade hid away before flicking it out again.
Miles softly hummed, “Is that what I heard upstairs…?” He turned back to his work, sanding down a handle for an axe he was making.
Dakota nodded with a dramatic head nod, folding the knife back into itself. That’s when Miles held out his hand, “Makes the place a lot more lively… Can’t say I hated it.” He said with a short laugh, making Fabel feel a little guilty. They knew what he meant, it wasn’t just him that felt that way.
She gave him the knife, watching him pull away from the desk to place it into a little sheath he had made for it. A pretty thing, lovely dark leather always looked good. “I’m sorry for not being around much, M…” She apologized, pulling a chair out from his desk that was cluttered with ideas and projects. She sat across, leaning back in it.
He took a deep breath, looking at her with tired eye. “You're all good, D… I know you’re busy with managing the gang. I gave you that responsibility after all… I know how much it takes away.” He looked back down at the wooden handle in his hand, placing down the sandpaper to test how it felt in his hands.
Dakota sighed, “…I’m working hard to stop it… I mean.. I’m not going to say much, but I’ve been establishing quite the connections.” She saw how he shook his head.
It didn’t matter how many connections a person had. For some reason, this place always took and took. It took his left eye… It took his wife… He was stagnant… Just a guy who made tools for a gang he used to run.
“Hmm… Just don’t get swept up in it, D.” He simply said, his voice quiet. It pained Dakota to see him this way… Watching him adjust that eyepatch on his face, sometimes she could see his hands shake.
“It’ll have to catch up to me to sweep me up, Uncle.” Her voice softened up, watching as he sighed and shook his head. “I’m serious.” He replied, looking up at the young bandit. Despite her being older now, he still saw that little girl that enjoyed watching him make new things.
“I know.” She exhaled, standing up from the chair. “I promise. Once this is all over, we can take a trip above ground… get some fresh air. Maybe, we can see the water too. I know you’ve always wanted to do that.” She promised, holding a soft smile. It was one of those smiles that made Miles feel at ease.
“…Sure… We’ll go see the water.” He agreed with the pretty thought. Maybe he needed to get away from all of this… But, nothing could ever fill his missing piece… Not even water. Dakota gave a wink, motioning towards the kitchen as she started to head for head. “Make sure you eat, Uncle. Don’t need you passed out on your workbench again.” She advised, footsteps echoing as Dakota went up.
The older man’s eye looks over at the urn on the shelf, “What are we going to do with this kid, Kate?…” He asked before he shook his head and got back to work on making his axe.
——
“LUTHER! RUN!” Denis yelled, sprinting down the alleyway behind his best friend. Luther was running just like he was told, looking back behind them as men started to rush them.
“I want them alive!” The man ordered, stopping his chase and pointing at his men to go after them. His lips lifted into a proud smirk, hearing the bullets fire and the feet of men running at his demand… Was this what it was like to have power Instead of being kicked to the ground?
Denis followed close behind, pulling down barrels and crates to obstruct any path. Luther knew something was fucked when they saw those bastards were starting to block off streets. They had to ditch the wagon because of it and It fucked with him, he knew what they were looking for. Their faces were well known from the papers.
BANG!
Luther found himself ducking his head, scrambling into another set of alleyways behind some brothel. Bugs and rats scurried past his feet. His heart racing in his ears made it feel as if his head was underwater. He couldn’t hear anything. Just kept running and running.
“Through here!” Luther said, finding an old building they could run through. He looked at the old doors on it, taking a step back before using as much momentum and adrenaline to kick the damn thing open. Once the door broke open, Luther pushed himself through the splintering wood. The place was dark and dusty, but he could care less…
“Denis, I think we should—” He turned behind him and saw no one. Her heart dropping instantly, all he could hear now was the sound of his own heavy breathing.
“Denis?…Brother?” He helplessly called out.

Are you a jab? 'Cause you got me hooked | Annie Leonhart x reader | Modern AU Boxing AU | +18
TW: +18, blood, boxing, fights, swearing, heights/weights mentioned, trauma, deja vu.
Shipp: Annie Leonhart x reader
Summary: You and Annie are both boxers, only Annie is from Marley Club and you are from Shiganshina Club, two clubs with the biggest and longest rivalry in the whole city. Once, you and Annie were both selected to fight for your clubs, and you lost because you had a traumatic deja vu. From that moment on, Annie had been curious about you.
Word count: +8500 words
Tw: +18
Clarifications:
Eren’s weight is made up by me, I didn’t find it, I invented it. So don’t worry about these tiny things and just have a good time.
English is not my first language, so sorry if there are typos/errors here.
Also, the measurement scales I use are not lbs or feet, so if you see anything that looks like an error, please let me know.
Interest picked? Let’s start then!

“Annie, your rival is another person now, Mikasa had a problem with her knee” the coach said to the blond-haired short woman.
She raised her eyebrows and made a “tsk” sound with her mouth. “I don’t care, I’ll beat the shit out of her, no matter who she is” she answered, but it bothered her a bit indeed, as she has a special hatred towards her predicted opponent. Since she started having fights with her the tall dark-haired woman could get on her nerves. So Leonhart was always up to fight her.
But, in any case, her rival was going to be someone from the Shiganshina Club, so pride and rivalry is involved there no matter how the person in the other color looks like.
Annie reflected then who will fight her as she wraps her wrists, which are already scarred from so many times she has done this, up to the knuckles with bandages. She didn't know so many girls there, apart from Mikasa, she have had met with Ymir and Historia out of the ring sometime. But Ymir was so tall to be her rival and the blond one was on another lower level. Then, as she put on her gloves, she remembers having seen a fight of Shiganshina vs Marley, Pieck was representing them. She was confronting a brown-haired loud girl called Sasha. She was 5’5 feet tall, and Pieck was 5’ feet tall; looking at the numbers, they were 13 cm apart, Sasha having the advantage. 13 cm is not far from 15 cm, the blue-eyed woman thinks. Would it be unfair? From head to toe. But is it possible in this shitty place?, totally; she thought just before the guest changing room.
It would be either Sasha or another person that she didn't know about, she thought, being blinded by the shot of light that was generated at the door of the room from which she had just exited.
“In the blue corner, The Female Titan of Marley… that has shown us so many times what she can do… 5’ feet tall, 119 lbs… ANNIE LEONHART!!!”
The blond woman started walking through the white smoke they fired for her entering in stage when she heard her name. She was pissed off by her nick, but, after all these years, she didn't care anymore. She advanced until the ring, which was opened by two young men, one on each side of hers. Leonhart entered without any repetitive movement between the ropes, followed by her technical team. She didn't have a characteristic entrance or anything like that, she just wanted to win. And fuck the crowd, she was not there to dance for them.
When the blond-haired one up on the ring made her way to her corner, already talking to her coach, one of the presenters introduced the Shinganshina’s fighter.
The crowd shut and silence dominated the place, white smoke mixed up with the air as the door of the changing room you were in was opened slowly.
"In the red corner, back from the State League, to which she was invited, with a bronze medal in her hands… The Shiganshina Club's new star is back strong and with no rest. Standing at 5’ 4 feet tall and weighing in at 132 lbs... Y/N Y/S!!!!"
Leonhart is impressed by the fact of the gained medal. She had also someones herself, but the State League was at a higher level, even surpassing her own. She respected you even though she didn’t know more than your name and some award thing.
You started walking with your eyes stuck in the ring, where your rival was. You knew all her data some minutes ago, as Mikasa’s knee started aching, and not being able to lift her body while she was doing her last-minute stress-killer practice.
This Annie was a few feet shorter than you, so you have the height advantage, which would allow you to fight to keep the distance you needed to land blows and stay on top of the situation, you analyzed.
You entered the ring doing this repetitive movement your idols had always done before waving and smiling at the crowd.
You were a proud one, Leonhart thought, let her land a hand on you and you’d know the future result here.
She was a lone wolf, you thought, as she was there without anyone more than her coaches and trainer.
Both of you let your coaches put your helmet on your head and say the last tips for each of you, offering you water and checking your clothes and the gloves were well-adjusted and in their place.
“You’ll do well, just throw the first one and you’ll not have any obstacles” Jean said to you. Maybe it was not the best one in terms of behavior, but he was a helpful friend when you were about to start a fight.
Finally, Levi, your coach, patted your two shoulders and gave you one last pat on the back. He always did that, let's say that his gestures are more than his words, and you were already used to it.
The ring sounded and, before you collided your gloves with your rival’s, simply out of mutual respect, you started to feel out the distance between your guard position and the other's face, to get used to each other's height and to analyze each other's fighting style on the fly, as you two have never competed before and this was not planned.
It was quite a challenge not knowing not only that you were going to fight in some minutes but also that you didn’t know your opponent at all. You knew data but at the last minute, so your senses are working at their highest to get to be the winner of the first assault for the sake of the final result and for taking Annie down psychologically in the process.
With some jabs and crosses thrown, you know that Annie goes all out and goes for the victory. That's her style. You had always admired that kind of style, even achieved it, but that doesn’t help much if it’s shown by your opponent.
You dodged a jab, but she feinted and the cross goes to the side you didn't expect. With you halfway to the sleep room she took the opportunity to land an uppercut. The referee put his arm between you two, before the blond could land several blows to your stomach that would have made you vomit blood, and does the 10 sec countdown on you.
While you were on that loop of nearly being unconscious, you centered your gaze on Annie, not seeing the referee’s hands counting along with his talk. She was adjusting her helmet giving you her back. Is something about her that intrigued you. But you didn't really know what it was. You didn't have time, by the way, your brain understood this when the referee got out of your way and you were facing the shorter girl.
Maybe because you were thinking about something other than that you were a bit dizzy, it helped you to dodge her first punch. It didn't matter now, you had to continue. You threw another one-two after reaching her right, leaving her unprotected on that side. Dizzy, she tried to stop you, throwing misdirected punches to your head that only annoyed you but you pivoted like never before in your life and pressed your abdomen to increase the speed of your movements and overcome her uncalculated defensive blows with a hook, now to the liver.
She arched her back and you continued hitting her where you could. Ribs, neck, jaw, head… Where you could before she could cover it. She ended up hugging you making it impossible for you to continue making points.
As you separated from her, you breathe heavily. That was great, you thought, if you could make another one like that or at least connect her some good hooks, this assault would be yours undoubtedly.
When she was back in front of you, you felt she was more aggressive, that’s not that normal when you had just landed a lot of blows on her. She had to be slower, she had to faint more, you thought dodging her in the best way you could. But she blew two good hits on your head. Because you were taller and the blows pushed you back, Annie didn't get to hit you with the uppercut. And thank goodness she didn't, you were sure that would have resulted in a knockout.
The referee gives you another ten seconds as you hit your head a bit trying to get back from the door of the sleep room, as you had one more minute ahead of fighting this Female Titan.
Then you noticed she was getting tired from all the blows he had thrown at you, so you took it slow, concentrated but cautious, waiting for at least 10 seconds to pass like this, breathing in and out. But that’s not like that, as you saw her gaze changing and her arms throwing them at you, her feet pivoting ceaselessly and her waist wasn't different.
You dodged, not concentrating on each one, but on your survival, to one side and the other. Right and left, right and left while blocking the majority of the ones that would hit you. She'd get tired, you thought, trying to not let your head get pushed so back, to not let her punch you without any defense.
Eventually, you striked back, hitting her liver sometimes before centering in her head. Annie covered it, and the crowd it's so loud you couldn't even breathe for air.
The ring sounded when you were nearly pushing her against the net, with a combination of at least 6 hits, not getting bothered by her hugging you trying to make you stop.
First round was over, you thought, already breathing and giving her your back for going slowly, step by step, to your corner, where your team had already setted a chair for you and your coach is gesturing you to sit.
He droped water in your helmet talking to you about the situation.
“That was great, this round is ours. Listen, for the next one you have to cover up more, she doesn’t just punch, she goes all out in every one of them, so be careful with that” oh, yeah, you know it well “I know you can handle it, okay?” you noded, trying to catch any piece of calm of the cold water now falling through your pressed hair.
But you could only think about her face. Her blue eyes combinating with her blond hair. You could think about Armin, Erwin or Nanaba… but it’s not the same.
She was pretty.
The moment you thought that you shook your head of that sentiment and continued to focus on Levi’s indications.
You noded another time as he put a hand on your shoulder and you felt another two on your back, probably from Nanaba, your second coach, and Erwin, who is always there for every fighter of Shiganshina Club.
Those hands on your back gave you the impulse to step into the ring again, hearing the sound that gave you the start of the second round.
You jumped a bit on your feet, trying to make yourself move again and to get rid of that stupid thought.
“You’d have won the last one, but this one’s mine” you heared her between tired breaths before she throws a good one-two at you, forgetting to collide gloves already.
You dodged it, but this is the easy part, and you knew it. Both of you exchanged blows in a row, so that both of you do not take a breath for a good few seconds.
God…
You thought, feeling your abdomen was going to explode from all the pressure you are putting in it to pivot every single time.
In one of those, Leonhart faints in the fastest way you’ve ever seen and gave you a good uppercut. You tried to recompose yourself by giving steps behind you, caring at the same time of her hits, dodging them the best you could. But the physical power you had isn’t as high as your mental one, so you felt dizzy and end up falling near fainting. But you fought to keep your brain focussed on moving your hands a lot inside the gloves and looking at the audience, reminding yourself that this is a great fight with a lot of expectation. That half of the people were there for you. And, finally, you looked at Erwin. He was the man who recruited you and who inspired you to continue in this every day.
The referee went to you, sitting you on the floor and asking you if you could continue.
“You okay?” he asked, kneeled in front of you, lifting your head “you can continue? Should I call the doctor?”
But you denied with your head and make the gesture of standing up, he noded at you and helped you get up. You heared the crowd screaming, cheering you to continue up.
You glanced a second to Erwin, Levi and Nanaba. They noded at you, decided; the blond-haired man raised his fist. You felt Annie’s glance on you but you chose to ignore it, you had to stay up right now. Anyway.
You spit down your throat.
Okay.
You’re good.
Just continue.
You have to.
You can…
Of course you can.
With that, you convinced your heart to continue, which tricked your brain to do so.
As every single time.
You can do it.
You breath.
You can do it.
The ring sounds, but you are already on guard.
Let 's go!
With that, you forgot it all and started throwing punches here, there and everything in between. You didn't care about tiredness anymore. You were here to battle. The three sets, nine minutes in total, as the regulation of amateurs, both male and female, mark, are a sprint to be done. And you were not falling behind.
You saw Leonhart surprised by your change of strategy. After all, she nearly left you in the sleep room seconds ago.
You didn't see it, because you were too focused on giving it all in every punch, but Levi, some meters behind you, was smiling sideways. He was proud that you got the gut to train such a strategy, and even use it in a fight.
That’s my girl, he thought.
Leonhart tried to escape these connections you are making but you don’t even cover up. She hits your liver, your sides, your head… But you just continued punching her and cornering her, ignoring the hits and the pain. Leonhart then gave up and went into you, hugging you so close that you didn't have space to hit her again. She had such a grip.
When you stoped, well, the referee stoped you, you felt her face on your chest before she separated from you. The blond looked up at you and you two look at each other for a second. You break the connection.
The referee gestured to you both to continue after giving the 10 seconds to the blue corner fighter while you got the air you couldn’t before.
Leonhart looked at you with suspicion, as if that part of you hadn't expected it.
A mix of punches and pivots was shown again in the ring. The public was cheering for you both. The lack of air. You couldn't think much in these moments, it’s just mechanics.
One two, try the cross. Nope. Another one two and then an uppercut.
It may seem repetitive, but up there was hella tiring.
Then, a technique that you couldn’t think about takes place. She pushed you in the shoulder, you got confused because she went straight to that, you weren't cornering her. You noticed how she moves her leg and found out what was going on. Only that you touched the ground before.
MUAY THAI, SERIOUSLY?
You thoughtbefore getting up and groaning. Thank goddess you practiced a bit of judo when you were little, courtesy of Nanaba, and knew how to handle a fall like that. The floor didn’t even rub your helmet.
Well, she had to do something, this round was going to be mine…
When the referee told you to continue, only for her eyes, you knew that she noticed your perfect judo fall. I mean, you even hit hard with your gloves, it was unconscious.
After that, you two faint more, it’s normal, you discovered more abilities from each other, with the cards already on the table, any of you could do something surprising.
And like this, the second round ended.
Well. Two falls… This one’s her’s… fuck
You literally threw yourself on the seat one of your technical team members placed for you. You breathed while Levi pours water between the helmet and your head. It seemed that your brain was going to freeze, but nothing felt better than this, honestly. You threw your head back, leaning on the padded corner.
“Here, drink too” Nanaba entered the ring and put the water bottle in your mouth.
Erwin massaged your shoulders a bit, showing his support.
“You did so good, Y/n. Great reaction to that one technique” Nanaba pointed out, on her fingers.
“Yeah” Levi signed “do you want more?” You noded as Nanaba put the bottle again in your mouth “hear me out” he put his hands on your thighs, talking right in front of you, as the crowd would distract your accelerated state. It functioned, you focused on him “We already know her card up her sleeve: Muay Thai mixed with knocks. That's done, you handled it so well, okay?” You noded again, too focused on not doing anything but relax, distension, and low your heart rate “You need to find a way to handle it. You can dodge down too, that would be exhausting, but I know you can do it; but you can also try and counter it with your judo knowledge. I don’t know how much you can put that card of yours on the table, but if you try, you know how it works…” he said.
“All or nothing” out of the excitement, you four said it at the same time.
Before the ring took place between the sound of the crowd for the third time in this fight, Erwin pated your shoulders and Nanaba dried you a bit. Levi noded at you before exiting the ring.
Yeah… At the end… All of it depends on me.
All or nothing…
All or nothing…
You repeated yourself, not knowing if you had the energy to persecute that “all” you all are talking about.
You breathed in and out glancing at your rival. That eyeing gave you courage.
You smiled sideways and frown, making your posture go down a little.
“All”… I’m going for you!
Not only you did think about it figuratively, but you moved forward decisively. An aura of positiveness and tireless energy covered you. "That's my Tn'' Levi thought to himself just before you went with everything against Leonhart after the ring sounds.
“Make a nice one!” Nanaba cheered for you.
Consider it done, Sir.
You smiled more through the helmet. Your rival is surprised by this energy you seemed to have, even before the fight.
Last round. Last two minutes. Just two. C’mon, you can do this, Yn. Nothing is decided yet!
You thought to yourself throwing the first one two. You continued until you hit her with an uppercut, her tiredness was felt as she as didn't cover herself after it, letting you attack in any way. First, a cross, then a down hook. And then one more. Two. Three. Four. Fi- the hand of the referee interfered and cuted you there.
You gave your back to them, you hit your own fists of emotion and lift them up. Seeing the audience screaming, crying, going crazy... These were the moments you live for, they didn't compare to any other you have had ever lived, after all. Gold. That's what they werefor you.
Normally, you would be surprised if your rival got up after this, but, after the Muay Thai technique, you weren't surprised by anything this Annie Leonhart did.
A good rival, no doubt about that.
And when you turned around, you saw what you’ve just thought. The referee gave her 10 seconds and Leonhart tried to help herself to get up with the net.
You jumped a bit again, throwing punches to the air. You didn't feel the tiredness nor the pain. You were in your 110% obsession state. You felt like you could eat the world just now.
Your favorite sensation.
C’mon, get up. I’ll make you fall again!
You smiled.
This was so good for your points.
When the countdown finished, you had the blond-haired right in front of you again.
This is mine.
You thought, as you remembered the analysis you did before this fight started. She was aching, so she’d fainted and dodged a lot. She was not going to attack without caring of the defense any time soon. So if you dominated the distance, you’d have this duel in your hand. You only had to keep her some centimeters away from her punch distance, as you could still hit there.
And it worked! For 30 seconds this strategy gained some good points for you, but as soon as she huged you and breathed a little bit, you knew from her eyes that you’d have to defend more now.
So you dodged and covered yourself. As if it were a guardian angel, your mind thought that Leonhart was going to use some technique of his specialty again. And, thanks to that, you were able to dodge it and counterattack with another sweep. You thoght fast, and a Ōuchi gari was the best option. You pretended to dodge and approached her to hug her and prevent her from pushing you, but you were the one who grabed her arm and shoulder and pusheed them sweeping one leg of hers with yours.
She tried to hold on to you, but she falled on the attempt.
You breathed.
YESS!
You heared your team cheer for you and the crowd filled the ambience with your name. You celebrated it by raising your arms.
You heared her cough and sign when she got up again after a 10 countdown.
The narrator said that there's only one minute left.
This is done. You are done.
You thoughtto yourself, convinced.
You two followed with jabs and crosses, you continued throwing some of them at her. One. Then two. And then three, four… There was no option to maintain the points, you only could look up at the highest you two can get.
You could see it in her face. It was going to be a knockout if you continued. You smiled excited, you had never did so.
But, in the last punch, your eyes connected with her’s. That blue eyes were now transparent. You could see fear in them. The time passed by so slow then. You could sense all your body in tension. Your abdomen, your waist, your feet and your fist. It was well-directed. Like every single one you connected. But something was off. Her eyes. Even though it was difficult to see them through the helmet, you were able to look directly into them. You know she was scared.
Oh…
For a second, your vision got you to that day. You saw a small girl. It was just like Leonhart. Blond, blue eyes, short… It was Historia. You were teaching her some simple movements, you were sparring with her. And you connected an under hook, like you are about to do now. A millisecond passed and you saw her on the floor, aching. She was crying.
A feeling of regret mixed with fear attacked you like poison, and it spreaded throughout your body, circulating like blood, paralyzing each one of your muscles.
No…! Not again!
You stoped in your pivoting, you saw Leonhart now, already on the floor, aching. But that was not what was happening, she dodged the last weak punch and gave a last-hope uppercut.
For her eyes, you knew it was desperate, but for the impact… you didn't feel anything. Nothing at all. Only relief. It was a strange sentiment as you were now falling back, with wind caressing your skin and a huge blow all over your body ended you.
It was a knockout.
.
.
.
“See it this way… at least it’s her first knockout. There’s always a first time” Nanaba tried to cheer up a bit the other coach and the trainer.
“I guess… But she has never feared them, so… I don’t know how this leaves your argument…” Erwin said as Levi remains silent.
You were hearing them, but you weren't seeing them. So you fought to open those eyes of yours. You saw you were laying on the floor, hearing Leonhart’s name being shouted from every direction.
“Hey… you good?” asked Levi softly but loud enough for you to listen, caressing your shoulder with his finger as Nanaba got your head out of the helmet.
You tried to get up but Erwin stoped you.
“Hey, hey, take it easy… You’ve been knocked out” he said looking down at you concerned.
“I’m…” you were trying to say okay but you ended up saying “dizzy” while you rubed your head, all wet and sweaty from the fight.
“Yeah… we know” Nanaba said, trying to dry your hair and forehead a little bit with a towel.
You breathed out calmly after what seemed a lot of time. You saw Eren, Ymir and Historia, the ones that were there today and Hange couldn’t stop before getting on the ring to see you. They saw you from there, worried.
“I’m fine, guys…” you said, making a reassuring gesture, trying to smile, but you were too dizzy. Historia couldn’t help but get your hand.
“You are clearly not, Y/n! You’ve received a knockout!” she screamed, you heared it even through the crowd’s noise. The Reiss hugged you, not caring a bit about all the sweat. She was kind of your apprentice, she looked up at you since she was little. So seeing you this hurt and dizzy hurted her a lot.
Ymir put a hand on her shoulder, and your coaches and trainer let them talk to you, as you were answering without much effort.
“She’ll be okay, Historia, she’s Y/n, after all” the tall girl said.
Next to you and your friends was the blue corner fighter standing up with the arm up by the referee. You couldn't see it from the floor, because Levi’s figure was covering your sight, but Leonhart was looking at you. It seems like she was looking down taking air, but she was indeed glaring at you.
The blond one was giving the final seconds of the fight a thought.
Why did she doubt?
Why did she flinch?
Was that fear in her eyes?
I was not the one hitting her…
Why?
Why?!
Why did she let me win?
It was a bittersweet victory, as Leonhart knew she didn’t deserve it. That if you have had continued with the blows, she would be the one knocked out.
And she couldn't stand that. She didn’t gain the victory. So… why did she win?
What the fuck meant that win then?
She was internally in rage. She couldn't stand a win like that.
But she didn't do anything. She let the referee lift her arm, her friends hug her and her coaches congratulate her.
Some minutes passed, and the public was now thinking about the next fight already.
Ironic, right?
You were left in the Paradis locker to get a shower and change yourself. You put the automatic, it was your house after all, you knew where all was located.
When you were done signing in the cold, nerve-restart shower, you get out of it and put on your rest clothes.
You let your sports shirt fall after it is over your shoulders and finished ordering everything. Out of nothing, someone knocked on the door.
“Uh… You can enter, i’m done” you said thinking it’s Historia again or some of your high level friends as Hange or Rico trying to cheer you up. But when you turned your head you found no less than Annie Leonhart, your rival in the blue corner.
“What are you doing here?” you asked, not daring her or something, just confused “this is the house’s locker room” you said.
“I know where the visitors’ one is, Y/s. I just wanted to talk to you” she said calmly, looking at you for the first time directly, without helmets on or the pressure of being rivals standing on the ring.
You got a moment to analyze her, looking at her from head to toe. Wet hair, gray sweatshirt, baggy sweatpants, shoes without a platform…
As it was a bit long, if she didn’t even take the time to dry her hair that was because the thing she wanted to talk about is important, you realized.
“So what’s up? Shouldn’t you be celebrating your victory with your team?” you asked, still feeling your eyes itch when you say your victory.
“Don’t say that, I don’t even want it if it’s this way” you heared the short one say.
“And you are an amateur? This is sport, you can win or lose in a second. Nothing is decided before the ring sounds. Sentimentalisms and morals don't count” you tryed to be mature about it, but even if you said this, she could feel your voice shaking a bit.
“It’s not about that, obviously I know what a knockout is!” she punched the door. You looked at her as that was what she asked for with that movement, your attention.
“So? What’s the point then?” At this point you only waneted to exit that room and cry on Levi’s lap.
“That you let me do it. Hit you, I mean. You let me. Why?” she explained herself, frowning and not even glancing anywhere but your eyes. She was upset about it.
“What are you saying? I didn’t let you”
“Yes, you did. I saw you. I saw it in your eyes, it was… doubt there… You could punch me right, but you didn’t, and then you stopped” she looked away looking for words. “Why?”
“What? I didn’t do what” you defended yourself. You would die instead of admitting you let a Marley fighter win.
“Don’t be a fool” she said going towards you “You flinched! You doubted! I saw you! Stop avoiding the question and answer me!” she took you by the shirt. She was angry. You let her do so.
“I couldn’t stand going on with that energy” you lied, it’s pretty obvious, but you couldn't think of something better in your exhausted state.
Leonhart doesn’t move, decided to make you split it up. Those big blue eyes are making you nervous.
“I, uh… okay…” you signed, nothing matters now, you lost, and she would not give up until you told her “I…” you looked her in the eyes again “you… I saw you were scared… I saw it in your eyes… and I… I just couldn’t do it, okay? I’m weak, that's all!” you said pushing her, quitting her grip on you and not looking at her surprised expression.
“You… are making fun of me?” she followed you, with a non-believing tone.
“I’m not. You asked me, I answered you. Now, can you leave?” you said, nearly bursting into tears. Saying it was kind of bringing it to reality. Admitting things was always hard for you, after all.
You didn't look at her, but you heared her leave with a quick step. You didn't know if your ears malfunctioned, but you swear you heard a sob.
Well, there was so much sound outside, so you didn't really know what you have heard.
When you are back with your team and friends, you noticed she’s no longer there.
[ ]
Some days passed, and you couldn't understand why she, of all your past rivals, made you doubt. Because obviously you have had seen that scared expression before, but you didn’t let the win go. You didn’t even pay attention to them. So why her?
You tryed to convince yourself that it had to be because of her similar traits with Historia, but you knew something didn't seem right there.
But there was no time to think about it , you had another great fight between the eternal rivals: Paradis and Marley; in Marley’s house this time. The contestants of this contest, if everything went well, were going to be Reiner, in the blue corner, and Eren, who defended the red one.
With Mikasa still treating that knee, Eren asked you to enter with him the ring. You were confused about why didn't he ask Armin. The long haired one told you that it’s because your vibes match better. In other words, you lifted his spirits more.
Some minutes before you were cheering him and helping him to put on his entering suit.
“You have reached a lot this months. Go there and show it to all of them. Reiner is no longer someone you have to see up, it’s on the same level as you, understood?” you said giving pats on his chest.
He smiled proudly “I didn’t mess up asking you to be here with me” he sayd, as a thank you.
You smiled. “Let’s go” you said as you all heared the narrator introducing him.
“In the red corner, the heavyweight of Paradis, The Attack Titan, only surpassed by his own trainer, comes from a defeat, the strongest way that anyone has ever returned to the ring in all history" he took a breath "At 21 years old, 6 feet tall and 176 lbs in weight... With you all tonight: EREN JAEGER!”
You let him, Levi and Hange enter, and steped in behind along with Erwin. You two looked at each other. That small glance only could mean something: this is our revenge, we are gonna win this one.
Eren waved at everyone and hited his own fists after taking off his entering-in-stage clothes.
You put a hand on his shoulder looking at the Marley’s locker room just before their fighter presentation began.
“In the blue corner, right back from an injury in the arm, he’s called by The Armored Titan… by friends… and enemies…” he paused before continuing “With 21 years old too, 182 lbs of weight and 6 feet with 2 inches... REINER BROWN!” as soon as he announced the young man’s name, he entered the stage.
“And, in a few moments, ladies and gentlemen, we will witness a fight as epic as it is long-awaited... The Attack Titan vs The Armored Titan!” the narrator continued talking about their life a bit while they are preparing to fight each other.
You lightly slaped the cheeks of Paradis' fighter "Ready?" you asked him with a decided face.
“Yes, I’m gonna beat his ass” he sayd excitedly, already giving small jumps.
“Let’s go then, attack with all. Always” you cheered him, leaving the ring just because Hange was pulling you out of it.
While you were stepping outside, you see the short blonde from the other day sideways through the audience. You looked the other way when you see that she was staring at you too.
You sat up next to Mikasa, ready to see a good fight between these heavyweights.
The ring sounds and the two fighters collided their gloves peacefully, ready to start pivoting and hitting.
They started throwing some jabs to each other. These were the first seconds, so they were warming up and getting used to the height of each other.
Eren was the first one that got to hit a good up hook, and tried to connect it with more hits, but Reiner recovered from it fast and threw a one two to the shorter one. Eren received it, and Reiner gived him another uppercut.
“Fuck…” you said, concentrated in the match trated in the fight, not really caring about the glance of the blond still on you for some reason she didn't even understand herself.
The two of the heavyweights men moved from side to side, from left to right, dodging the most hits as possible while throwing them at the same time. With all his concentration turned on, Eren gave him another uppercut, his best movement, and connected it with another direct jab and a down hook. Reiner felt his head fall behind, but he recomposed himself. He was not called The Armored Titan for nothing.
The taller fighter continued playing on the defensive side, while Paradis’ Eren striked connected blows. First a one two, an uppercut and then a good down hook. Even if Reiner is the Armored Titan, Eren was still the Attack one.
This looks like it's going to be a close one
“That was a good one, Eren” you congratulated him as he celebrates it marking his arm muscles in a manly motion while Reiner had the referee right in front of him counting him the 10 seconds countdown.
In this moment, you remembered all the 10 seconds countdowns your fight had. You were the one doing some of them, you picture the referee in the same position and the crowd cheering for you both. So you looked up at Leonhart in the public. You were not seeking anything in particular, you just had the urge to do so. To see her.
And there she was, looking at her fellow fighter, calm and serious as always. With her hair tighted in a bun and silent. Making contrast between the hectic and noisy crowd.
The fight continued and the blond one was ready to cover himself up and defend with all his force. And the one in the red corner wasn’t different, ready to attack with all the rage.
Eren forced a good hat trick of blows which Reiner could merely defend. The first one brayd, so the other took advantage of those seconds and attacked with a one two trying to connect it with a cross. But he couldn’t, since Eren covered himself first. Then the blond tried to hit a cross by the other side, this time the other received a bit of the force of the impact. This made his head fall a bit behind, but recovers easily and feints a little bit. Feints that didn’t help him as he got hitted with a jab and an uppercut.
Eren took some seconds to recover, but as he seemed dizzy, the referee stoped Reiner and gave the red corner fighter 10 seconds. When the fight continued, Eren changes the strategy. Analyzing the last blows between him and his rival, realized that, if he could connect more, he wouldn’t be cornered that easily. So that’s what he did. He feinted, hits included, and pivoted more as he dodged the tries to do a jab-cross from Reiner. Then, after some feints, he threw a force punch that hit right in Reiner’s jaw. From there, he continued connecting more force hits as he cornered his rival.
The ring sounded and the referee had to get in the way of the Attack Titan.
One of the technicians put a metalic chair on his corner to sit on it, as well as the other corner did; and the coaches and the trainer standed on the ring. They gave him water and tips they saw he could use to defeat his rival.
“I’m going quickly to get a drink” you said to Mikasa, who was on your right.
“Ah, I'm going with you too” replied Jean on another chair.
“But hurry!” the dark-haired woman warned you two.
“Yeah, yeah” Jean said as he sighed.
“Yes, mum” you responded, pulling your head to the side playfully.
You two went ahead and pour some drinks in two plastic glasses.
“Hey” you heared a soft but strong voice on your left, when Jean was in the opposite corner of the table.
You turned around, surprised to see the blond-haired woman of the fight the other day you two fought.
“Hm! Hey there, came here to see the fight of the heavy weights, uh? Pretty… interesting fight” your friendly and composed vibe falled around when your eyes connect with her’s.
Annie wasn’t frowning or mad, or even staring aggressively into you; but her glare was a bit… unusual. Kinda surprised. You didn’t really know how to describe it. But god, she had a very strong eyeing that madr you stupidly nervous.
She noticed this, and tried to pull out a more soft glare, but didn’t do much at all. You signed, recomposing yourself.
“Yeah, indeed, they are really good. Both of them” Leonhart said.
“Hm” not knowing how to continue, you started to serve yourself with some low-calorie juice you really liked and noticed the girl didn’t move from her spot “Uh, you want some?”
“…Yes” she said, not convinced.
“Then let me serve you” you said, as was natural that you just did those tiny things for people. You put your plastic vase near the dispenser and pushed the button to the juice to spill out of the machine.
“Hey, idiot, aren’t you done already?” murmured Jean coming to you two.
“Umm, near. I’m taking it for her” you leaned back a bit, letting him view the girl that you were covering from his sight.
“Uh, ok. Eh? Aren’t you from Marley. The one that fought with Yn last week?” he realized.
“Yeah, she is” you commented, giving her the drink “Here it is”
“Thanks” she said with a low tone, that sounded different to the other interactions you had or heard about her.
You heard the song BOXER by Stray Kids being played. And, somehow, it gave you the courage to say “I'm staying here, go with the others”.
Annie was nervous for no reason about you leaving since she sensed in her hands the warmth of yours the second you two rubbed them as you gave her the glass.
For a brief moment, Jean looked confused at you, but, even if it was strange in him being friendly, or even chill, with rivals of other clubs, he took the hint and left you, not without a tiny wink.
“The night is your’s, ladies” he joked.
“Shut up” you said.
It was true. It was true for the moment you saw the blond-haired short woman for the first time in the court, no less. She was stunning in every sense, but also worried for no reason and strangely nice with you. You just couldn’t lose the opportunity. Analyzing it, if she was really just being kind to you with really no reason at all, that would end there. And you two probably never talk to each other again, or fight, as Mikasa was coming back in a week or two, just for the next competition between clubs.
But, if not, if she really was into you, and you did nothing but ignore your growing feelings for her, the future would be the same as, knowing her type of personality and interaction with others, she would feel dumb, back off and just not talk to you any more. And you didn’t want that. Not at all.
You smiled, even if it was for a moment you knew this night was gonna be fun, awkwardly fun.
“So… who do you want to win?” you said, noticing the stupidity of the question the second you spell it off “Uh, yeah, quite obvious, uh? Reiner, the Marley’s” you laugh at yourself, not daring looking down to her.
“Yeah” out of nothing, even your calculations, she laughed. Annie just laughed. Annie, the cold Marley’s fighter, had laughed at one thing you said.
Imposible
You thought, but it happened. And it made you look at her, her face itching to give you a radiant smile, full of laughter and eyes closed in total harmony. You swore you could see her laugh all day long.
Totally out of any perception of your reality at that moment, the second round started. Sweat running their tensed bodies, jabs being thrown every ten seconds and two big weights contesting the fight of the day.
“You know” out of your calculations, another time, she said “The other night, I’m still curious about that flinch of yours” almost doubting, Annie pulled out the question.
You sign, eyes down to your drink, cupping it between your hands. This made you lose the look the blond gave you, worried about have fucked it up. But, you got her unexpected too “Christa. You know, one of my club. The short one that’s always with Ymir”
“Yeah… what's up with her?” curious, she questioned.
You didn’t even know why, but you explained that to a Marley fighter. No, not to a Marley fighter. To Annie, who still was it, but she was now more than that.
“So, I don’t know if it was the physique or what, but … I had kind of a deja vu” you sighed in your story “You know, sometimes I ask myself if I’m really made for this… world” looking up to the fight before you “Sometimes it’s just so, I don’t know, violent…”until you felt too exposed and back it off “You might wanna laugh at me now, a boxer having fear to box, how ironic, uh?” you say, covering the tears with a masked smile you know really well from years of practice, adding a small laugh.
But when you looked at her, you knew your actuation was not necessary anymore.
“No, it’s not a silly thing” the blond-haired said seriously “It’s quite normal, indeed. Sometimes, even I, feel that doubt” you looked at her astonished. That made her look down at her feet “The aggressivity of our hits, the pain we can cause, the, even, careers or lives we could end in a two minutes round. It’s huge” says in a breath ”And the weight on our shoulders depends on it, as well as our reputation, the discipline and eagerness we put in each training each day. It’s really overwhelming. So don’t feel weak for that, because you are quite the opposite. You are strong, Yn” she said, clapping your back with her hand.
You wanted to cry, lay in her arms, have a life with her by your side. The feelings were overwhelming. You were told that other times, yeah, by Eren, Mikasa or, even, Ymir; but Annie. Her saying it was different. It was not about validation or acknowledgement, it was something about her. Talking to you. Making you feel proud of yourself because of your own gains, not done to praise her or anything. Just the “you” for the “you”. And that was golden. It really was.
You showed a bitter-sweet smile, without looking up again ”Thanks. I’m gonna spin it up a couple of times in my head though” you said, finally free to take your chin up, looking at the gym, at the crowd and at the night itself, showing her reality, your reality of it, right there.
“Good. That question is worth answering it from time to time” and after some seconds, she added in a joking manner”And when I say strong, I don’t mean only physically”
She gave you a slight punch on the triceps. You laughed, it was cute seeing her like this.
”You too, you too”
The ambience became more calm and collected. You two were happy with the other’s presence. You two have been exchanging looks from time to time during the third round until the party moved on to a disco. At the end of the day, you were all humans, and if Eren and Reiner could have a beer together after literally fighting to death, you all could.
However, Annie stayed near you the whole time. It was like an artwork. You could never get tired of seeing and wanting to review every part of her, just to never paint a drawing that could equal the feeling she made you experiment. It was just impossible, and you liked it that way.
“Hey… you know you are too pretty” you said in one of these watching expeditions that interested you more than the actual combat.
For a brief moment you saw her smile drawn in her face, just to be turned to the other side, take air and finally face you, her hand on the table.
“It may be irrational, but I do think the same for you. Normally I do not see the others that way, I just don’t care”
“It’s not supposed to be rational, is it? Neither normative or sound possible” you replied, getting closer to her.
“You know, you have really flaming eyes, and that I like that so much about you” Annie took another step, in that moment, your bodies were nearly brushing to each other. And the height difference was really noticeable at this point. But you two only thought it was so cute.
“You do?” you said, taking a strand of her golden, perfect hair behind her ear.
“Mhmmh”she mumbled.
You two looked so close, and you didn’t want it to be far. The song was oblivious, just a rhythm your head was accustomed to, the others screaming and fighting a bit, outer noise; you were there, Annie before you, with only a thing in your minds.
You leaned over her and your lips touching made an electric current go all the way through your senses as well as your body. Her lips were soft but rough, a combination that suited her very well. Your bones filled with waves of fire and your soul being sieged by flames of water, touching your every muscle and bursting every one of your cognitive connections. It was like each part of that dead star that made your body functioning alone all this time was lighted up and finally made its way to the eruption.
You’ve been locked in here forever
And you just can’t say goodbye
Your lips, my lips
APOCALYPSE
Your lips, my lips
APOCALYPSE
Go and sneak us through the rivers
Flood is rising up on your knees
Oh, please
Come out and haunt me
I know you want me
Come out and haunt me
You smiled, recognizing the lyrics, Cigarettes After Sex made its appearance just in time.
“Are you an uppercut? Cause you got me hooked” you joked, making her laugh.
Annie was astonished, even if she kissed you, even if she came to that snacks and drinks table just to talk to you, even if she worried that much that, the first time she saw you flinch, she runned to watch out for you, she haven’t had thought you would mean this much to her. Even if her own heart was screaming it at your very first sight. But, with this kiss, she knew it, she knew she didn’t want to kiss anyone but you the rest of her life.
“So… wanna go for a drink and kiss in the most embarrassing moments of songs?” you asked, laughing softly.
“I couldn’t want it more” she answered, a smile printed on her face, caressing your cheek before getting on her toes and giving you a soft kiss. The brush felt like heaven down at the earth, she surely was just like magic.

Synopsis: Annie never expected to fall in love with the princess she was supposed to protect and she never expected you to feel the same way

Annie didn’t know how she ended up in this situation. Well, she did, because it was her job to protect the princess, to stay near her at all hours. She knew what to expect with this job. The thousands of hours of training they put her through prepared her for the tasks that were expected of her as the princess’s knight. She was prepared to take action if the princess was targeted or if there was an invasion of the castle.
What she wasn’t prepared for was falling in love. When you spend as many hours with the princess as Annie does, it’s almost impossible not to fall in love with her. You’ve grown close over the years. It’s hard not to. She learned about your passion for your kingdom and your knowledge of the arts. Annie hangs onto every word you say, and she doesn’t make it subtle. The other knights have teased her about her infatuation with the princess. She wonders how they don’t get it, how they don’t get why she looks at you like you hung the moon.
“Annie?” She heard your voice from behind your bedroom door and it startled her out of her thoughts. She straightened her posture before answering like you could see her through the door.
“Yes, princess?” she questions. It’s silent for a second, like the princess is deciding what she wants to say.
“Can you come in here and help me tie my nightgown?” she asks. “The maids have already gone to sleep and I don’t want to bother them for something so small.”
Annie can feel a lump forming in her throat just thinking about what. she might be walking into. You, the woman she loves, half-dressed and needing her help. Annie might just explode. She cleared her throat to get rid of the knot blocking her words before she spoke.
“Of course, princess.”
She pauses for a second to compose herself before opening the door. The sight that greets her almost makes her stumble. Your nightgown is hanging off your shoulder, allowing her to see your smooth skin.
“Hello,” you say with a small smile on your face.
It takes Annie a second to compose herself again before she speaks again.
“Hello, Princess.” She greets back.
“Thank you for agreeing to help me, Annie. I appreciate it.” You say as you turn around. Your back now facing Annie so she can tie your nightgown. Annie walks up to stand behind you. She is so close you can feel her breathing on the back of your neck.
“No need to thank me.” she says as she reaches to grab the strap hanging off your shoulder. Her fingers brush over your skin, sending goosebumps down your back.
You let out a shaky breath before responding, “I must. You helped me. I should thank you.”
“There is really no need, princess” Annie says as she finishes tying up your gown. You turn around slowly to look at her. She hasn’t backed up yet, so your feet are practically touching. You stare at her for a moment longer, then whisper,
“Maybe you can sleep in my chambers tonight. It can’t possibly be comfortable sleeping in a room with three other people.”
“Okay,” she whispers back. Annie thinks she might be dreaming when you smile so brightly it almost blinds her.
“Oh wonderful,” you say, grabbing her hand and pulling her towards your bed. “You can sleep right next to me.”
You climb onto the right side of the bed and get comfortable before patting the left side and smiling up at Annie. She slowly crawls onto the left side of the bed. You’re now facing each other, just staring into the eyes of the other.
“Annie?” you whisper in the darkness.
“Yes, princess?” she whispers back.
“I didn’t really need help with my nightgown, I just said that so I could see you.” You whisper shyly.
It catches Annie off guard, that you thought you had to come up with a plan just so you could see her. You interrupt her thoughts when you speak again.
“You know, Annie,” you pause for a second, just staring at her, “I like you. More than a princess should like a knight.”
Annie never expected this, for her love to be requited. She thought she was destined to live her life as merely, your knight, to watch you get married to some prince from another kingdom. All the while, she watched from the sidelines.
Annie lets out a breath and says, “I like you too. More than a knight should like a princess.”
You inch closer to her face and let out a small "Really?"
“Yes,” she whispers back. Your lips are inches apart now.
Annie finally moves to connect your lips to hers and it’s more magical than she ever imagined.

- you felt your heart bang with every word that came out of your wife’s mouth. her voice riddled with irritation at your lack of understanding, as you continued to go back and fourth. “I don’t like the idea of you out there for that long!” You shouted, desperately trying to explain. “You’re being dramatic,” she said, “it’s apart of my job, y/n. Theres nothing I can do about it!” It felt like you two had been saying the same thing over and over again. “6 months? Halfway across the world?! And you’re okay with that?!” You shouted angrily. “I have orders, y/n. I don’t have a choice.” She said sternly. “And there is nothing I can do or you can do to change that!” her aggressive words hit you in the heart as you felt your eyes start to water. the air was finally quiet for a few moments as you processed everything. ‘she has to. It’s her job. i need to understand that…’ you thought. But you just couldn’t. you just couldn’t stand the thought of mikasa being gone that long. the silence finally broke in the air as your voice choked up “I just don’t want you to leave me..!” your voice broke, as the tears you’d been holding in did aswell. You choked out sobs, deep, heavy, sobs, as your voice shattered sentences of incoherent. Mikasa froze for a moment, before her gaze went soft as it lied on you. her warm embrace laced hands around your figure as it held you tightly, her eyes filling with sadness. “Oh..don’t cry love..” she whispered as your cries continued, her arms wrapping lovingly around you. “I know darling, I know this is hard.” Mikasa said, as her hand raised your face from your palms to look you in the eyes. her fingers caressed tears off your face as she helped you calm down. “I promise you, I’ll never leave you.. no matter what distance lays between us.”

“You never listen to me! Ever! I mean fuck y/n why do I even bother at this point?!” Annie shouted angrily, her tone filled with more rage than usual. It started off as a dumb couples fight to now a full on argument spurring out angered insults with mindless thinking. “Oh really? You’re one to talk! That’s all you ever do is blame everything on me!” You spat back. Annie’s figure swiftly turned around to face you, “you’re the one that starts shit y/n, not me.” she sternly said. “I put up with your shit every day for the past 5 years. 5 YEARS Y/N! I’ve had to mother you! I’ve had to care for you! IM BASICALLY A GODDAMN BABYSITTER!” Her screams rang in your ears as you closed your eyes, her aggressively packing her bags.“Seriously?” You mutter out, “I’ve sacrificed friendships, I’ve sacrificed LIVES for you! I’ve sacrificed everything just to be with a warrior! I’ve done so much for you!” you screamed back. Annie looked at you, her eyes as stern as ever. “ All you’ve ever done for me is cause me problems,” her voice was serious, her voice was real. i think that’s the part that hurt the most, the fact that her voice said what her mind wanted to. and she was being honest. The anger you once had in your eyes faded to a soft gaze as you felt your heart shatter. Your eyes filled with tears as you stayed silent, trying not to cry. “That’s all you ever do.” Annie sternly said, failing to realize your soft whimpers would soon break into sobs. as you felt your world crashing down on you as tears streamed down your cheeks, your palms held your face in your hands as you cried. Annie turned back around from stuffing a shirt in her suitcase, her eyes landing on you. she stayed silent as you cried, not knowing what to do. But what she did know, that she really fucked up. Annie glanced at your figure, feeling that out of regret and guilt arise in her stomach. She softly came towards you, her arms carefully wrapping around your body as you dug your head into her shoulder, sobbing. “I’m sorry..” she whispered into your hair. “I’m sorry..” she said a bit louder. But you could tell from the tone in her voice, that she was being honest.
𓏲·˚ ͙ pieck
“Please y/n, I’m not in the mood.” Your girlfriend said, tiredness on her face. “But you said you’d stay tonight..” you disappointedly breathed out. “I barley see you enough as it is. You can’t just stay a few hours?” the woman turned around swiftly to look at you, “I don’t know how many times I have to repeat myself. I said no y/n, what part of that do you not understand?!” Her aggressive response caught you off guard, your air feeling more heavy around you. “..you don’t have to yell at me pieck..” you softly muttered out before she cut you off. “Well sometimes you just don’t fucking listen!” She shouted aggressively, taking out her anger on you. “Pieck stop! I don’t want to fight with you!” You called back, trying to calm her down. “Then stop being so needy all the time and let me rest!” She replied. Her words made you feel like a burden as you felt your chest get tighter, confused and saddened as to what you did wrong. “..fine…” you sighed out, turning away to walk upstairs. You heard pieck mutter a “finally” under her breath as your vision became blurred, tears swelling up in your eyes. You turned back around in the doorway to look at pieck. “..I’m sorry If i did something wrong..” your voice wobbled out, catching her attention. Pieck starred at you, tears flowing down your face as you slightly hummed soft cries. She was token aback by your state, clearly now realizing how she acted towards you. “Oh.. dove..” pieck softly said, “no..no no sweetie” the messy haired woman came over to you, her eyes fixated on your own watery orbs. Guilt plastered on her face as she hugged you tightly, making you take in a deep breath to stop your sobs from getting worse. “Honey, I’m so sorry dear.. I don’t know what gotten into me lately.. I’ve just been so stressed.. I shouldn’t of token it out on you love… I’m so sorry sweetheart please don’t cry..” she said, drying your tears with tissues. “I..know you’ve been… stressed.. and I’m sorry I just miss you…” you managed to get out in between breaths. “Im sorry darling..”
𓏲·˚ ͙ hange
The one night that you rarely have with you and hange alone, cancelled all because of some stupid paperwork they could get to in the morning? “Seriously Han?! Do you know how long we’ve been planning this?” You hear hange sigh from their desk as they touch the bridge of their nose. “I’ve told you y/n I have too many things to do! Why do I have to keep repeating myself like a skipping record?!” Hange scolded at you. Apparently this date meant more to you then it did to her. Way more. To the point they’d rather do paperwork than go on it. “You can do that shit in the morning! This is the one night we finally can go out and you’re telling me no?!” You angrily shouted at her. “Fuck hange! I’ve barley seen you in weeks! I wake up and your not there! I go to sleep and your not there! Why is everything about your fucking work?! Why is it never about me?!” You shouted at them, their face filling with more irritation than before. “I’m not saying it again.” They said, picking back up their pen and scribbling down on their paperwork. “Really? You’re really gonna do this to me?” You said, trying to not flip out on them. Hange didn’t reply, but just ignore you. “Gonna ignore me like you always do, huh?” You scoffed. A rage burning up inside you as you ranted. “You know why the hell are you even in a relationship if you’re commander?! You leave me out in the fucking dust! You act like I’m not even there! Is all I am just a fuck to you when you’re too stressed to function?! Huh?! Is that paperwork more important than me-“ “YES! FUCK ANYTHING TO SHUT YOU UP!” they yelled, cutting you off. You felt your heart sink as they screamed, going on about how you never listen, always complain, how they’re always too busy and stressed. Too focused on their rant to notice the tears falling down your eyes and your small shaky breaths. “AND I DO NOT HAVE ENOUGH ENERGY TO DEAL WITH Y-“ they cutt themself as they saw your shattered figure, your eyes filled with tears as they kept streaming like a river down your face, dripping onto the floor. ‘At least now they were quiet, huh hange?’ they thought, realizing how badly they hurt you. You just started at the floor avoiding eye contact as they breathed out a sigh, fixing their glasses. “I..c-come here love.” They said, their hand gesturing for you to come closer as they walked towards you. Hange sighed as they felt you collapse into their arms, not knowing when the last time they held you like this was. She let you sob, rubbing circles onto your back as she occasionally pressed kisses into your hair, relaxing into you. “I know I haven’t been the best partner, y/n. I’m not a good partner at all. I’m sorry.”
𓏲·˚ ͙ sasha
“I am doneee!!! Donee!! No more arguing i cant hear you!!” Sasha plugged her ears as you continued to pour out everything that was in you. From the late nights out, to the not knowing where she was. It was too much. You’d never get a serious answer, all you’d get is your concerns blown off with a ‘ehh you’re dramatic babe’ it was like she took nothing seriously. Not your emotions. Not your concerns. Not even your relationship. “Sasha fucking stop!” You yelled. “I’m trying to talk to you about something that concerns me and all you do is plug your ears and ignore me!” You cry out. “Do you even care about us at all?!” You say, to be greeted with a nonchalant “oh wow and now you think I don’t care?” Sasha scoffed, hopping off the counter. “You’re frustrating me! Ive already told you I’m having fun I’m safe I’m fine I’m not cheating on you!” They blurted out. “Sash that is not even my concern! Maybe you’d know what it is if you’d actually listen!!” You yelled out. “Oh trust me, I listen.” She bit into her Apple. “I have to listen to your insecurities all the time. And I have to deal with ‘em. I’ve gotta put up with ‘em!” She remarked back, making you even more frustrated. “Then why don’t you do anything about it?! Why don’t you care?!” “Damn it y/n I do!” “Then shut up and listen!” She laughed at your remark, confusing you. “Gosh you really don’t quit do you?” Sasha chuckled, making your blood boil. You had enough, you were so filled with rage and hurt. You felt tears start spurring out your eyes as you yelled and cried and sobbed, catching Sasha off guard. “Y/n?” She looked around, lost. “Hey-uh..” Sasha just starred at you and your broken figure, sobbing and crying. “D-did I really make you that upset..?” She questioned, taking in the state you’re in. “Babe..” they came closer to you as you muttered a “go away..” in between sobs. “Hey no nooo babe.. ah gosh..” Sasha said, trying to comfort you. “Ah..please don’t cry pretty, I’m sorry darlin’..” she hugged you tightly, pressing your figure up agaisnt hers. “I’m gonna do better honey, I promise.”
a/n: I AM SO FUCKING TIRED

ੈ✩‧₊˚ girlfriend annie leonhart headcanons ੈ✩‧₊˚
- you’re the first person she’s excited to tell good news
- most people wouldn’t believe it but her love language is physical touch, just in smaller ways. ex: brushing hair out of your face, adjusting a necklace/bracelet, a hand on your back when she passes by you, burying her face in the crook of your neck :’)
- an early riser, she’s always up with the sun and doing chores around the house to make your morning easier
- likes to go out for breakfast & coffee together
- her favorite date spot is the aquarium. she likes to be quiet and watch all the fish, occasionally going “that one looks like you”
- a lot of the time her jokes don’t stick and come off as rude but you know they’re meant with love
- doesn’t wear jewelry herself but you got her a cheap ring from the gift shop at the aquarium and she never takes it off (her finger is turning green)
- always waits for you before eating lunch/dinner
- sleeps holding your arm
- hates taking her picture being taken but you got a candid one of her smiling and it’s your favorite picture ever
- would co-parent a dog with you
- would be really nervous to meet your parents, “what if they don’t like me?”
- lastly she WILL curb stomp a bitch for you, she offers all the time. actually curb stomping is probably her love language

(AoT/Genshin Impact) Hange, Beidou, Lisa, and Annie with a stoic S/O
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Oh great, now there was a second Levi to torture!
Hange now has a loving second source of endless entertainment as they torment S/O, trying to constantly prod a reaction out of them.
Even during combat, they note S/O doesn't even flinch from the titans.
Hange gets immense satisfaction whenever they manage to get more than a frown from them.
One example of which included kissing S/O completely in front of the 104th squad, Levi, Erwin, and Moblit.
That one got S/O's eyebrows to raise completely up, making them look shocked and making Hange laugh hysterically.
(Hange) "Come on, lighten up! You should be like me!"
(Levi) "An idiot?"
(Moblit) "Crazy?"
(S/O) "Loud?"
(Eren) "Energetic?"
(Hange) "ENERGETIC! Thank you, Eren!"
Tumblr media
Beidou just chuckles seeing how cool her S/O is.
Just like Kazuha, they barely reacted to anything.
Beidou teases them all the time to hopefully see a reaction other than an eyebrow raise from them.
Yet, it actually flustered her to see them smile. It was extremely rare for her to see it, even when it was just the two of them.
(Beidou) "Dang, I must have gotten you in a good mood if I got you to smile."
Tumblr media
Lisa knows it's not if she can get S/O to have a reaction.
It was just when.
She did her usual flirting, but predictably it did nothing. So she got creative, such as getting closer to them under the guise of putting a book up, or yawning and falling completely into their lap.
If she even saw them blush, it'd make her entire week.
(Lisa) "Ah, now there's the beautiful smile I wanted to see, dear!"
Tumblr media
Annie does not mind S/O's stoic nature one bit.
The two barely show any emotion, but its their actions that speak for them.
They enjoy a comfortable silence with one another.
Honestly, it was a refreshing change of pace.
Not being forced to make small talk or act a certain way, just being who they were.
They could go hours at a time without saying anything.
(S/O) "..."
(Annie) "..."
