I don't think enough people know how easy it is for Ansi to just drop people if she has even a hint of distrust towards them.

To him it's like you wouldn't stay on a ship as it sinks. He just saw the iceberg from a mile away and jumped ship the first chance he got.

It's one of the reasons why Hobie is so scared of her leaving him. It's a habit she's had since they were young. If you don't serve any purpose or if you're not someone she trusts you're gone.

People call him heartless, cold, and uncaring but this is what he does to survive.

You can't get abandoned by anyone if you abandon them first.
