*ANTANTULLA APPAM* *JANUARY 23 THURSDAY 2020* *IF YOU WILL HEAR HIS VOICE!* “ *Today, if you will hear His voice, do not harden your hearts as in the rebellion, in the day of trial in the wilderness” (Hebrews 3:7, 8).* *Paul the Apostle begins with the words “Today if you will hear His voice.” Yes. God likes to speak to you. He wants His words to be heard by you. He likes to happily move with you.* *Once, Reagan who was the President of the USA remembered one of his school teachers. As he wanted to have a conversation with him, he tried to contact him through the phone. The teacher did not believe when the President’s voice was heard on the phone. He thought that someone was making fun and disconnected the call. The president tried again and again but the teacher did not respond due to his disbelief. He strongly felt that someone was playing with him.* *In the end, the telephone attendant of the President contacted the neighbour of the teacher and conveyed the President’s wish to speak to him. The teacher believed things only after this and had a happy conversation with the President for fifteen minutes.* *One day God willed to speak to Samuel who was a boy then. He called with love “Samuel, Samuel.” But Samuel did not know that it was the voice of God. His thought would have been that how such a big God will speak to a simple boy like him. He ran to Eli and asked him whether he had called him. He did not realise that one who called him is greater than all kings on earth.
