The ATLANTIKWALL in Raversyde is one of the best-preserved remains of the German defensive line during the First World War. Thanks to its exceptional preservation, for decades the ATLANTIKWALL was carefully walled in and today it is the only intact original wall from the 1914-1918 world war that can be found in an urban environment.

This site is about the Atlantic Wall which was a defensive fortification of Nazi Germany that stretched along the coast of Denmark. The project was an important precursor to Hitler's efforts to build fortifications along the Atlantic coast in anticipation of an Allied invasion.

The German Atlantic Wall was a 700 kilometer long defense line which stretched from the Pas de Calais to Norway, France and Germany and was built by Nazi Germany during World War II. The wall was intended primarily to prevent Allied ships and raiders from breaking out of the Normandy beachhead, but was also meant to deter the invasion of mainland Europe, which the Allies hoped to accomplish with the D-Day landings. The wall was made up of hundreds of fortress complexes, bunkers, and strong points

The Atlantic Wall was a grand project developed by the Nazis in order to stop an allied invasion. They were the largest construction project in WWII, using six feet of earth daily to create a barrier spanning from North Africa to Norway. The Atlantic Wall was the first military barrier ever built and ultimately failed. This is a channel about what else the Atlantic Wall failed at, why it failed, and the impact that the Atlantic Wall had on the world.
