And so i remain in silence
“speaking” clearly to you, wanting you to join in on an inner conversation of writing in thought
from the instrumental womb… (A starting line)
(Waiting) as a book (silently, bravely)
refusing to call aloud to get your close attention
the pure attention of your heart & mind.
hoping to see what you read become the sweet “fragrance” of your lips
A “mirroring” of (silence & sound)
(Clarity)
i’ll wait here in this open field for you, not crushing the flowers that grew…

It’s the first day of spring! We’re excited for future opportunities to witness scenes like previous years’ superblooms at Carrizo Plain National Monument in California, where wildflowers put on spectacular shows. This is also a great time of year to review Leave No Trace principles, so that everyone can enjoy our pristine parks, refuges and wilderness areas for generations. Other helpful resources you can read at home may include identification guides for wildflowers and birds. Photo from 2017 by Bob Wick, Bureau of Land Management.

All of Market St. looked like this today- geared up cops in clumps making self consciously upbeat small talk with one another, and anti-police grafitti. When I passed 30 minutes later, the same officers were there, but the grafitti was gone.

@BLMca: 🎣The Mokelumne River is known by area anglers for steelhead, rainbow and brown trout, certain spots on the river are known for Chinook Salmon. #Flyfishing is probably your best option out here, but #driftfishing works well! California's Piedras Blancas Light Station's name comes from the distinctive white rocks that loom just offshore. These rocks and the rugged shoreline are home to seabirds, sea lions, elephant seals and provide an ideal spot to gaze out at our galaxy.
