I stopped watching AoS sometime after Skye became "Daisy" because I ran out of patience waiting for them to kill off Ward (while killing or nearly killing multiple women, as well as Trip gdi TRIP) and the overbearing sense of 'Coulson is the best' got too much for me. I also couldn't stomach that Daisy forgave her dad the literal mass murderer. I was thinking of getting back into it but from what I can tell from this blog it hasn't exactly gotten better? Is that right?

Ehh... yes, and no

So I mean they finally (finally!!!) killed reaper!Ward, but they killed off Daisy’s boyfriend as collateral, which they played as the catalyst for her to leave Shield which is fine I suppose because hey they finally killed of a White Guy but it cut off Daisy’s emotional arch at the knees. And yeah they had kind of given Daisy her own team (Secret Warriors) but pulled them into stories suuuuuper inconsistently and never really gave her the chance to develop her leadership skills.

And oh let’s see.... they took Coulson out of the Director position but they still basically always play him as The Good Man, it seemed like they were gonna give May a new set of babyAgents to train but nope better just sideline her I guess (and in the latest episode have the Evil Robot build a body double of her - bc the Asian Woman is the most robot-like, fun! racism! love it!), they finally stopped fuffing around with getting Fitz and Simmons into an actual relationship, and Mack is still around (and finally made out with Yoyo!!) but also sometimes seems like he’s been reduced to the “shotgun-axe” joke....

Anyway. Other stuff has happened of course those were just a few of the examples that came to mind immediately. I dunno... like I said, it’s a sort of yes and no, I mean they haven’t done anything that felt so egregious that I don’t periodically catch up but at the same time a lot of the story lines they write are so tiring
