What are Aortic Valve Replacement and Aortic Valve Repair?
The best heart surgeon in Bangalore will analyze all the conditions and take the necessary precautions while carrying out the surgery.
Aortic valve repair or aortic replacement is a procedure carried out to treat diseases or damaged aortic valves.
It is the aortic valve that separates the lower left heart chamber and the body's main artery.
When the heart squeezes, the aortic valve opens to let the blood flow from the left ventricle to the aorta.  The heart relaxes the valves are closed, preventing blood from moving backward.
A damaged or a diseased valve interferes with the blood flow. This makes it harder for the heart to pump blood to the rest of the body.
But, a repair or replacement of the diseased valve can improve blood flow and reduce the symptoms associated.
There are 2 types of aortic valve replacement: annuloplasty and valvuloplasty.
What are the conditions that require an aortic valve replacement?
Aortic valve regurgitation: This is a condition that is caused due to a leaky or dysfunctional valve. In this condition, the blood flows backward into the heart's main chamber.
Aortic valve stenosis:  In this condition, the aortic valve is blocked or narrowed making it difficult for the valve to open.
The best heart hospital in Bangalore considers all the factors and recommends an aortic valve replacement or repair.
What are the risks associated with aortic valve replacement?
Like any other surgery, the risks associated with aortic valve replacement or repair depends on the overall health. To reduce potential risks, aortic valve surgery should generally be done at a center with a multidisciplinary heart team in the best cardiac hospital in Bangalore.
The risks associated include:
Bleeding
Blood clots
Infection
Failure of a replacement valve
Stroke
Life after surgery
After a valve replacement or repair surgery, the best cardiac doctor in Bangalore will assist you in when you can get back to your daily activities. It is important that one follows a heart-healthy lifestyle after the surgery.

FAQs on Hernia | Best Proctologist in HSR Layout
Tumblr media
Best Proctologist in HSR Layout | Dr. Manas Tripathy is one of the best proctologists in Bangalore who talks about the top 10 FAQs on Hernia in this article.
1. What is Hernia?
A bulging of an organ or tissue through an abnormal opening, typically, a hernia involves the stomach or intestine.
2. Is Hernia is Dangerous?
Sometimes an untreated hernia can lead to probably serious complications. It can grow and cause more symptoms. It may also put too much pressure on nearby tissues, which can cause swelling and pain in the surrounding area. A portion of your intestine could also become trapped in the abdominal wall.
Hernia Treatment – Best Proctologists in HSR Layout– Dr. Manas Tripathy
3. How is a hernia treated?
Usually, the hernia is not a disease that cures on its own. The only way to treat a hernia is surgery. When you start treatment your doctor suggests you for the treatment process and he may suggest you for a surgeon. If he thinks the surgery is necessary for your type of hernia then the surgeon will suggest you for a better surgery.
It also depends on its types.
For example: Most usually affected type of hernia is an umbilical hernia. When it affects to a child and if the symptoms are more and the hernia is larger in size, it is necessary to have surgery and sometimes surgery is avoided for a smaller child. At the same time if an adult has the same problem and surgery is recommended because the condition will not I love the risk factors are high.
There are three types of hernia surgery.
Open surgery: It’s a simple method where the hernia is located in the body and cutting the tissue and to moving the part. Later stitching the muscle together.
Laparoscopic surgery: This type of surgery is also similar to open surgery but here instead of cutting to the outside of the abdomen or groin, The procedure is done by inserting a surgical tool by making a tiny incision.
Robotic hernia repair: With robotic surgery, the surgeon is seated at a console in the operating room, and handles the surgical instruments from the console. While robotic surgery can be used for some smaller hernias or weak areas, it can now also be used to reconstruct the abdominal wall.
4. How do I know which surgery is right for me?
There are different types of surgery and each has its own benefits. It gas to be decided by the surgeon based on the patient’s previous medical history and type of hernia.
5. What happens if hernia not treated?
There are chances that if you leave without treating, it will get bigger and painful, sometimes neglecting a hernia can lead to strangulation, which can demand an emergency surgery immediately or the consequences could be worst.
Hernia – Best Proctologists in HSR Layout– Dr. Manas Tripathy
6. Are hernias hereditary?
No, Hernia is not a disease that transmits from your parents; it’s a type of disease you may develop at birth.

06/08/2019 DAB Transcript
1 Kings 3:3-4:34, Acts 6:1-15, Psalms 126:1-6, Proverbs 16:26-27
Today is the 8th day of June. Welcome to the Daily Audio Bible. I’m Brian. It is great to be here with you as we end a week, another one of our weeks. Today would've been my mom's birthday. And, so, I can't help but recognize that. We lost her a couple of years ago and I don't know if there's a day that goes by that I don't think of my mom and remember her with fondness. So, I use birthday to be grateful, and I am grateful for my mother. But we have come here for other things besides that. We have come to allow God's word to speak to us at the close of our week and we’ve been reading from the New Living Translation this week, which is what we will do today. And we’re working our way into, kinda moving into first Kings. And David's reign has come to an end and he's died, and his son Solomon now sits on the throne and he's firmly on the throne. And, so, we’ll begin to see what his reign looked like. First Kings chapter 3 verse 3 through 4 verse 34 today.
Prayer:
Thank You, Father for Your word, thank You for bringing us through another week in Your word, thank You for the transitions that happened this week as we moved into this new month and moved into new territory in the Scriptures. And Father even as we’re here in the New Testament and Steven has been arrested, we will take note of his testimony that is forthcoming and how it will review for us all of the territory pretty much that we've covered so far in the Scriptures. And, so, we will choose in the coming week to pay close attention to that. We thank You for Your faithfulness in our lives and all that You are doing and all that You have yet to do. We open ourselves to You completely. Come Holy Spirit we pray. In Jesus name we ask. Amen.
Announcements:
dailyaudiobible.com is the website, and that’s home base and it’s where you find out what’s happening.
And the Daily Audio Bible Family Reunion 2019 or the global campfire Family Reunion, it’s coming up this August 31st through September 2nd, which is Labor Day. And as we’ve been mentioning this week, registration is open, registration is filling. And we’re excited because it’s a fantastic time. It was a fantastic time last year and we expect nothing but the same again this year as we all come together and just enjoy some fellowship and some play together with those that we’ve been traveling the entire year with through the Bible, which creates such an interesting shorthand among the community. Like, it's…we’re just already on the same page and it just takes a couple of minutes before you feel at home. That’s one of the distinctives and one of the things that I love, that I just marvel at about this community. So, we'll be getting together, and you can check it all out at dailyaudiobible.com in the Initiatives section. Just look for family reunion 2019 and you can get all the details. Come as family, come, just come stay on the grounds, enjoy all that it has to offer, enjoy the fellowship that will be happening. All the details are at dailyauidobible.com in the Initiatives section.
If you want to partner with the Daily Audio Bible, you can do that dailyaudiobible.com as well. There's a link on the homepage. If you’re using the app, you can press the Give button in the upper right-hand corner or, if you prefer, the mailing address is PO Box 1996 Spring Hill Tennessee 37174.
And, as always, if you have a prayer request or comment, 877-942-4253 is the number to dial.
And that is it for today. I'm Brian I love you and I'll be waiting for you here tomorrow.
Community Prayer and Praise:
Hello Daily Audio Bible family, this is Treasured Possession calling from sunny Minnesota on the 6th of June and Pastor Brian talked today about the fact that Jesus Christ is in us, His Holy Spirit that resurrected Him from the dead is within us, so we should be experiencing miracles every day. And just to let you know…I thank you for saying that because I’ve always believed that the Bible isn’t a history book. It’s that but it’s also…and it’s also…it’s not a way to manage your sin. I love that, the way you said that Pastor Brian. That was perfect. That was…I mean…I’m gonna be working on that for the next couple weeks, but as a day in the life of an ASPI, I’ll just let you know, my husband and I went in and we had to get our wellness check. And because we have so many things going on and we’re just so…our lack of focus is just so over the charts. Yes, back in April he got a notification that that had to get done, but of course we waited until the very last day. We called…we prayed of course…we throw ourselves on the mercy of God. We go into the doctors and unbelievably there’s two openings back to back and we were able to see her doctor. Neither one of us have a doctor. And just to make a long story short the Lord always…thank you Jesus…shows up for us. So, praise God and hallelujah and He is real, He is alive, and He is in us and I believe that if we seek His will and His work to heal people, those kind of healings like Peter did will happen and they do happen all the time. I don’t know why we don’t hear about more about but…
Hi family it’s Shannon from Salem Oregon. As I was praying along with the prayer requests on DAB tonight, I was just really struck with how diverse our prayer requests are from all over the world and the different struggles that our family is going to in the DAB and in the body of Christ around the globe. And I feel like what the Lord was speaking to my heart was, you know, Satan has attacked us in so many ways and he is trying, like that lion who is seeking to steal and kill and destroy to devour, he’s chasing us, devouring us, trying to devour us with all these different things, with sicknesses, with just life circumstances that are difficult, with family members that are in prison, with heartbreaks, with just everything and then I just felt like the Lord was giving me this huge hope of just His redemption. What Satan meant to destroy us God turns and uses it for the very thing that brings salvation to other people. And there are people that will be touched because we’ve had these hard experiences and then we can relate and identify to what other people are going through just like in second Corinthians, we are able to comfort others with the comfort we’ve received from the Lord. And, so I just want to encourage you family. I have wasted a lot of time recently in some struggles that we’ve been in feeling really sorry for myself and because…
Hi, my name is Stephanie and I’m calling from Bangalore India. I moved here only a couple of months ago and have since gotten married. Marriage was the reason I moved. I wanted to call in and ask for prayer as I am going through a lot of transitions right now between culture shock, moving from the US to India, and also just all of the issues with being newly married. In addition, my body is having a very difficult time here in India. I’m seeing all kinds of really random symptoms and it’s hard to know how to even start to address some of them. So, prayers would really be appreciated for my healing. In addition, I am older, I am going to be turning 40 this year and my husband and I both would really like to have children if that’s God’s will and with all of these physical things going on it’s…it’s not beyond God’s power but it is difficult sometimes to believe, that He could give us a child or more than one. So, prayers for that would be appreciated. And also, just prayers for the country of India right now. We recently got new election results in and it shows a landside for a very pro-Hindu government. And while I’m in South India and the persecution here is not as much, there’s still possibilities. So, please pray for the people of India and that God’s word would be known and that our prime minister even would come to know Christ. As far-fetched as that seems we know that God can reach people and do greater mighty works. Thank you very much. I won’t be listening to this for a while. I am only on the 16th of February but I’m slowly getting caught up…
Hi, my name is Chad from Texas. Several things going on that I want prayer for. I’ve been a…I was a police officer for almost 16 years and recently was wrongfully terminated and I am in the process of litigation with the police department. And they are reaching out to me now, my attorney, to try and mediate the situation to get it included and I just am praying for just the best situation possible. I was a police officer for 16 years, never been in trouble, never had a write up, never anything like that and the new chief came in and I didn’t like the way that he was appointed, and we had a difficulty with it, with each other, and within a month I was terminated. Also, please pray for me, I am having a surgery next Monday on the 10th, June 10th. I’ve had several surgeries, and this will be my 6th…my 16th surgery I think. So, please pray that I recovered to quickly. I’m a teacher now and I hoping that I recover quickly as I’m moving to a new school next year to be with my children and I want to make sure that I can start this position on time. And just know that I pray for everybody. I’ve been sitting for years and I just appreciate it. I really didn’t like calling in and just asking for prayer for myself, but I really need it right now. So, if you could pray for me I would really appreciate it. Thank you.

What is Rotablation?
Best heart specialist in Bangalore for Rotabalation Treatment | Rotational Atherectomy is a therapy performed with a small rotating diamond-tipped catheter which is used to open a blocked artery with heavy calcium and revamp the flow of blood to the heart. Often a stent (a tiny tube composed of metal mesh) is inserted in the artery to keep it from re-narrowing. We Provide Best Rotabalation Procedure in Bangalore by Dr. Ameet Oswal .

The buildup of calcium in the artery walls for a prolonged period of time can cause the plaque to become extremely rigid and hard. Sometimes, the plaque becomes too hard and calcified for an angioplasty balloon to widen the artery open. You may be a good candidate for angioplasty if you have a significant blockage of a coronary artery, or you have symptoms of CAD (Coronary Artery Disease). Some of the indications might be :
Experience of chest pain
Shortness of breath
If you already have a survival history of heart attack
Significant blockages in the arteries on coronary angiography.
If you have any such symptoms, the doctor might suggest an angioplasty with the above-mentioned methods
Rotablation FAQ.
1. When Is Rotablation Or IVL-Guided Angioplasty Required?
It is used to break down hard calcified blockages in the arteries of your heart. It can either be through a rotating diamond tipped catheter or shockwave lithotripsy (IVL). Some of the common symptoms that might suggest this medical treatment are:
Experience of chest pain
Shortness of breath
If you already have a history of heart attack
Significant blockage in arteries on coronary angiography.
2. Is Rotablation A Major Surgery?
Best heart specialist in Bangalore SaysBoth Rotablation and IVL-guided angioplasty are minimally invasive procedures used to unblock arteries and restore normal blood flow to the heart. This surgery is usually done under conscious or minor sedation.
3. What Happens In IVL-Guided Angioplasty?
Shockwave intravascular lithotripsy (IVL) has evolved as a new modality to treat heavily calcified coronary arteries. IVL involves using a percutaneous device to produce acoustic pressure waves resulting in the delivery of sufficient energy to break up superficial and deep calcium deposits.
4. What Is the Benefit Of Rotablation Or IVL-Guided Angioplasty?
These procedures are useful in the treatment of coronary heart disease in patients with angina pectoris. Over time, plaque, a fatty substance made of cholesterol, calcium and other materials tends to build up in the arteries. This leads to partial or complete choking of that artery, resulting either in a heart attack, stroke or obstructions in the blood vessels of the legs causing pain. Best Rotabalation Procedure in Bangalore by Dr. Ameet Oswal help resurrect the artery and restore normal blood flow.
5. What Is The Speed Of The Rotabalator?
It is essentially a drilling technique done with the help of a special diamond tip burr, which rotates at a speed of 150,000 to 200,000 rotations per minute. This drilling technique clears the inside of the arteries to help pass the balloon and stent easily.
6. How Does IVL-Guided Angioplasty Work?
An electrical discharge from the probe emitters vaporizes the fluid within the balloon, creating a rapidly expanding & collapsing bubble that generates sonic pressure waves. That helps to break down unwanted plaque in the arteries.
7. Are Rotabalation And IVL-Guided Angioplasty FDA Approved?
Yes, both of these methods are proven safe, minimally invasive and FDA approved this is what Best heart specialist in Bangalore says.

Bernie Sanders Had Two Stents Put In. Is It Serious?
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Sen. Bernie Sanders has reportedly suspended his presidential campaign activities after undergoing an emergency heart procedure.
The sudden medical procedure begs the question: How serious is this heart condition, and how might it affect Sanders’ future health?
Yesterday evening (Oct. 1), the Vermont senator experienced some chest discomfort during a campaign event, Jeff Weaver, Sanders’ senior adviser, said in a statement released today (Oct. 2), according to The Washington Examiner.
“Following medical evaluation and testing, he [Sanders] was found to have a blockage in one artery, and two stents were successfully inserted,” Weaver said. “Senator Sanders is conversing and in good spirits. He will be resting up over the next few days.”
Stents are a type of treatment for coronary artery disease, the most common type of heart disease in which the coronary arteries become narrowed or blocked, usually from the buildup of cholesterol and fat deposits called plaques.
Coronary arteries are the blood vessels that carry blood to the heart muscle, and their blockage can cause pain in the chest, shortness of breath and even a heart attack, according to the Mayo Clinic.
To open up the arteries, surgeons can insert stents, or tiny mesh wire tubes. These devices hold the artery open so blood can flow more freely. Although serious in the sense that the procedure involves arteries and cardiac tissue, the surgery is “routine” and “relatively safe,” said Dr. Laurence Epstein, the system director of electrophysiology at Northwell Health in Manhasset, New York, who is not involved with Sanders’ care.”This is not really heart surgery in the way that people think of [it],” he said.

How do stents work?
Decades ago, treating coronary artery disease meant having to open up a person’s chest and bypass the blocked artery altogether, Epstein said. Now, doctors can insert a stent instead.
A stent scaffolds the inner lining of an artery and “literally squishes the plaque up against the wall,” Epstein said. The procedure involves inserting a flexible tube, called a catheter, through an artery in the leg or the wrist and guiding it to the blockage. A balloon attached to the end of the catheter supports the wire mesh and puffs up to push the stent into place.
“The stents these days are coated with a drug that prevents the body tissues from growing [over the wire mesh] and causing re-blockages,” added Dr. Sripal Bangalore, an interventional cardiologist and professor of medicine at NYU Langone Health, who was not involved in Sanders’ care. Only 2 to 3% of patients develop re-blockages within a year of their procedure, he said.
“The procedure works very well,” said Dr. Quinn Capers, an associate professor of cardiovascular medicine at The Ohio State University College of Medicine, who did not treat Sanders. The wire mesh reopens the blocked artery quickly and effectively, so “patients usually feel better right away.”
Each year, about 1 million people in the U.S. have a stent inserted into their coronary artery, according to estimates from iData Research, a healthcare market research company. Even so, there is some controversy surrounding these devices, as some health experts argue that stents are overused and overhyped. A study published in 2017 in the journal The Lancet found that people who took heart medicines for chest pain had outcomes similar to those of people who got stents.
However, the controversy only applies to patients in stable condition, said Capers. These patients can elect to get stents or get by on medication alone, though they will take more medications without stents intact, he said. But when a patient’s condition worsens very quickly, there is “no controversy” that placing stents is the best course of treatment, he added.
Since Sanders just had stents placed,  he will likely be placed on a “secondary prevention” protocol, Epstein said, meaning the senator will undergo treatment to prevent further plaques from forming in his coronary arteries. Most likely, doctors will monitor the fat content of his blood, recommend he adjust his diet and exercise routine, and place him on medications to control his cholesterol levels and prevent blood clots from forming around the newly placed stents.
Related: Cholesterol Levels: High, Low, Good & Bad
Why the rush?
Sanders’ emergency surgery came as a surprise to those awaiting his campaign speeches. So why did the senator need to be treated so quickly?
If a person with coronary artery disease (CAD) experiences occasional chest pain — known as angina — when they physically exert themselves, their condition is considered stable, and stents aren’t urgent. However, “if it was unstable angina, it makes it more of an urgent situation,” Epstein said. Unstable angina means that a patient’s chest pain has become more frequent, more painful or longer-lasting, or that it might be provoked by less physical exertion than before. The worsening trend implies that plaque may be building up rapidly, meaning less blood is reaching the heart and the plaque itself may soon rupture, triggering blood clots and a subsequent heart attack.
There is a type of unstable angina that doctors consider “low-risk,” said Bangalore, and in these cases patients may opt to start with pharmaceutical treatment rather than getting a stent right away. But in about 40 to 50% of cases, CAD patients must have stents placed very quickly to prevent a possible heart attack, said Capers. “The plaque…can go from blocking about 30 percent of the artery to exploding like a volcano,” he said.
It has not been reported exactly why Sanders’ procedure was so urgent.
Stents aren’t a cure for coronary heart disease, Capers said — patients must stick to their medication regimen and follow a healthy lifestyle to treat the underlying condition. In the long run, most people who receive stents can stabilize their condition by taking these precautions..
“There’s plenty of people that have stents that live for years and years and years,” and the procedure often doesn’t interfere with them doing their jobs, Epstein said. If treated aggressively, he added, the plaques can even shrink, and the condition can be reversed.

The fresh blood in vomit and stools was due to internal bleeding after taking Capules Cloromycetin, Paracetamol and Avil Tablets initially from a local doctor. His health condition was becoming bad to worst day-by-day. The haemoglobin level was reducing from Hb 8.4% Gms on 18.05.1979 to Hb 5.2% Gms on 31.05.1979. He was not fit for surgery due to his poor haemoglobin level and also shortage of blood availability. During this period, already 17 pints of blood and hundreds of IV fluid bottles were transfused into him. There were no donors available with “O” –ve blood, which is a rare group. His was an almost medically a gone case, with Doctors advising to inform all relatives. With unflinching and unfailing faith in Astrology, his revered father Shri. D Nagarajan, who had his own permutations & combination of his horoscope, was the only person who stood like a rock stating that there will be no danger to his son’s life. Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement (TAVR)
Overview
Transcatheter semilunar valve Replacement (TAVR), typically additionally spoken as Transcatheter semilunar valve Implantation (TAVI), is a newer, less invasive surgical treatment to treat stenosis, narrowing of semilunar valve gap. The procedure is to interchange a narrowed or broken semilunar valve that doesn't open properly (aortic stenosis).
What is arteria stenosis?
The semilunar valve is one amongst the four valves of the human heart. The narrowing of the semilunar valve, leading to the restricted gap, is termed stenosis. The prevalence of stenosis restricts blood pumping out of our heart ventricle into the arterial blood vessel. The left heart chamber needs to pump blood against the obstruction leading to thickening of the guts muscle and ultimately dilatation of the guts chamber. The injury to the guts may result in heart disease and loss of life. the most causes of stenosis area unit a congenital defect, infectious disease, and chronic method as a result of age. stenosis might not have noticeable symptoms altogether cases.

Who is taken into account for TAVR?
Normally surgery is that the treatment of alternative for severe stenosis. However, in some folks, bypass surgery isn't doable as a result of the previous internal organ surgery, adulthood or different health conditions like kidney disease, severe respiratory disorder. Such patients acquire associate degree intermediate or speculative class.
TAVR could become associate degree choice for folks with such intermediate or high risk of complications. Transcatheter semilunar valve replacement can also be associate degree choice if one has associate degree existing biological tissue valve that was antecedently surgically inserted to interchange the semilunar valve, however it's not functioning well any longer. The procedure is minimally invasive and also the new valve is inserted via a tube through associate degree artery within the thigh like coronary stenting.
The decision to perform Transcatheter semilunar valve replacement to treat stenosis is created once a multidisciplinary cluster of medical yet as surgical heart specialists area unit consulted World Health Organization can along decide the simplest treatment choice for a personal.
