Leading Web3 money app Wirex and worldwide multi-chain architecture decentralized blockchain infrastructure node provider Gateway.fm have announced a strategic partnership. Through the use of Presto, a PaaS from Gateway.fm, the cooperation seeks to improve the efficiency and scalability of Wirex's WPay Decentralized Payment Network.

Instant spending, flexibility with digital assets, security, and self-custody are the main features of Wirex's decentralized payment network, WPay. These important value propositions are reinforced by the partnership with Gateway.fm. Wirex aims to enhance transaction throughput, reduce load on the Ethereum mainnet, and facilitate a seamless user experience for customers migrating from traditional banking to Web3 using Presto.

The partnership's standout features include the private zkEVM (Zero-Knowledge Ethereum Virtual Machine) rollup solution that Gateway.fm offers Wirex, improving off-chain transaction processing, scalability, and cost effectiveness. Furthermore, Wirex expects that the incorporation of L2 technology, made possible by Presto, driven by Polygon CDK, will improve its card services.
