One of the local* shelters takes exactly one photo of their incoming pets, and whatever they get, they post. This has led to one of my most favorite kitten photos of all time:

That face. That tongue. Perfection.

#Not games #Cat #Cats #Kitten #Years ago when my foster application was first approved the shelter employee led me to the cat room to choose a foster #and on the way she said 'Oh there's also the kittens'#The kittens were off season and the most beautiful cats I had ever seen #Each and every one of them could be a cat model. They were gorgeous #and I immediately knew two things:#1) I would never seen such beautiful cats again #and 2) They did not need me. They would get adopted in a heartbeat #I declined and eventually walked out with a very pretty cat who nevertheless had been there for over well over a year #because she had developed the personality of a brillo pad while there #and on their advice the chillest cat known to man #Both were eventually adopted out. The chill cat was renamed Night in the family's first language which will be perpetually funny to me #because he was a giant very laidback orange and white cat #He was the least night like Night cat I've ever known #ANYWAY the point here is that this kitten is giving me those kittens feels #except sub 'adorably dumb' for 'beautiful'#We did actually meet our probably future cat today though #(sadly not the one mentioned before #We did actually meet her! Just not a good match)#but probable cat is very very sweet and playful #and promptly sat on my shoulder like a parrot #Probably want to rename her but unsure to what #Tag ramble
