Manny Pacquiao Says Errol Spence Is Slower Than Keith Thurman!  Is Pacquiao/Spence Coming Soon? Recently Manny Pacquiao expressed his opinion that Errol Spence Jr. is slower than Keith Thurman who Pacquiao recently beat. Rather or not he's right about this. It is Pacquiao who calls the shots at welterweight. I think he sees something in Spence he thinks he can exploit, and we are very going to get an announcement regarding a matchup of Pacquiao & Spence. For the record, I am not saying I think Pacquiao beats Spence, but I think that Pacquiao thinks he beats Spence. Both are with PBC so at least on paper there should be no obstacles making this fight.  Pacquiao does call the shots at welterweight, so if He wanted to fight Terence Crawford. Even though Crawford fights with Top Rank. The fight would get made. Where would this leave Crawford who's options with Top Rank are Limited? The best opponent that Top Rank has is Kudratillo Abdukakhorov who is a very good boxer with some solid wins under his belt. Abdukakhorov gives Crawford the same issues that Egidijus Kavaliauskas gave him. both are top 10 maybe top 5 welterweights, but neither have the name recognition that comes with being a top 10 welterweight. Crawford didn't get the credit he deserved for beating  Kavaliauskas.  He likely won't for Abdukakhorov either. Crawford may have to look outside of Top Rank. I've suggested in the past that he and Vergil Ortiz Jr who is promoted by Golden Boy should fight. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tLw-g... Crawford could consider an "invasion" of PBC before his Top Rank contract runs out. I Thurman is coming off a loss to Pacquiao, but he's still one of the best welterweights. There has been some talk of Crawford facing Shawn Porter and Danny Garcia. I'm not sure PBC sends any of them to the slaughter. Terence Crawford Vs. Yordenis Ugas?

Terence Crawford vs.  Yordenis Ugas? As things pick up although they may be slowing down again in the world.  More and more boxing matches are being made and rumored.  One such rumor is a matchup between WBO Welterweight Champion Terence Crawford and Contender  Yordenis Ugas. While Ugas isn't a ranked contender for Crawford's WBO championship.  He is the number 3 contender for the WBC championship held by Errol Spence Jr and the top WBA contender with versions of their welterweight championship being held by Vergil Ortiz Jr, Alexander Besputin and Manny Pacquiao. While Ugas lacks a big-time win his  March 2019 bout with Shawn Porter for the WBC 147 pound championship could have gone either way. While I don't see Crawford/Ugas as an ultra-competitive bout.  I expect Crawford to win going away.  I do think Ugas is good enough to have his moments.  However to me what makes it interesting is that it would be a case of Crawford crossing the street so to speak.  There isn't a lot for Crawford at top Rank.  They have Besputin and Kudratillo Abdukakhorov good boxers, but with very low name value. The PBC who Ugas fights for have Pacquiao, both Danny and Mike Garcia (though Mike is officially a free agent) Keith Thurman, and Spence.  Since Spence/Crawford is the fight everyone wants.  Crawford is going to have to add some wins with name value.
