Time loop AU

Now, this can go multiple different ways

It could be a mindscape thing, where both characters do something to start a time loop, and that's fine! It truly is!

But

I prefer human aus, so THAT'S what I'm gonna talk about (obviously)

(Feel free to take any ideas from me tho, idrc, this is just an exercise for what I can do late at night w/ sleep deprivation)

I'm thinking adversaries/general loathing to lovers as the characters are stuck in a time loop

I feel like this is one of the few scenarios where a highschool au could be cool/appropriate, but a college one would also be cool, just depends on the vibes ig

Anyway, yadda yadda yadda, for some reason, both characters dislike eachother and cause an argument that triggers the time loop to start (without them realizing)

(Or, if you want to go a darker route, you could do a groundhog day style thing instead, that would also be cool)

When they wake up the next day, they realize that it's the same day, and they have no idea what's going on. They could stay quiet for a few days, trying to figure out how to stop it from happening independently while they pretend nothing is happening, until one gets fed up and starts an argument with the other

It eventually leads to one screaming "it's not like you're going to remember this ANYWAY!! Just shut up!" And the other just *freezes*, and asks them what the *fuck* they meant by that

Eventually, they figure out that they both are stuck in the loop and have to figure out how ro leave it together despite hating the other's presence in it's entirety.

... until they figure out taht their initial observations/feelings were, in fact, incorrect, and that they are actually pretty cool...

How Annoying!

Criminal Case Fanfic

Characters: David Jeremiah Jones, June Shiloh (my player), GPD in general

Relationships: None, just June being kinda gay (you guys can label them as platonic or romantic, idrc)

Warnings: Swearing, death

We never got how the player and Jones met. All we got was that he taught us some stuff.

So this is my take on how my player, June and Jones met; before "The Death of Rosa Wolf."

Tomorrow was the day.

June had to make sure he got everything for tomorrow. He was still bummed that he couldn't be a soldier. But he understood that he had to do something with his life if not a soldier.

So, a policeman at GPD (short for Grimsborough Police Department) it was.

He had heard of some things about Grimsborough; it's districts, the political system and how a murder happens every 2 blocks. He's really gonna need to be cautious.

Starting today, he felt like he needed to go and earn some food to not starve in his new apartment while waiting for tomorrow.

So June was off to the market at 2:34pm. He was able to buy some juice, some spicy chips and some meat to maybe make burgers or something. It was all he could buy since he had only like enough money to pay next month's rent for the new apartment.

He was on his way home when he happened to see someone running.

The man happened to drop his wallet on the ground. He didn't seem to notice.

"Oh fuck."

June didn't really wanna go give it back but knowing that maybe it might be good for his Karma, he goes and picks up the wallet and chases the man.

"Hey, hey you! Your wallet, idiot!"

The man was able to stop and June also quitted running as well. Jesus, the dude seems taller.

Not only he turned to June as June was able to read all the details of him even more clearly. Blue eyes, brownish hair that seems stuck up, pale skin. He was wearing a green hoodie and brown pants with black shoes on. Holy fuck, this man seemed... off. He seemed to wear a somehow, not a good face.

"Y-you dropped your wallet, man."

The dude stepped forward and retrieved his wallet back. But then he felt his phone beeping.

And then he ran off again.

"Uh- motherfucker!"

June couldn't help but feel dumb. That asshole could have at least say thanks before taking off.

"Whatever..."

June went home for the day. He did need to get ready for tomorrow.

Well. Today's the day.

He let his red hair flow down his back as he wore his red vest. He didn't bother putting on some glasses for his amber eyes. He let his weird earrings flow down as well. He was wearing the GPD badge along that somehow matched his gloves and boots.

"Okay. Here we go."

He opened the door to his new workplace. And his first order of business was to meet the chief.

He had to take the elevator, get to the second floor and see that his new workplace is no joke.

The place was beautiful. Not beautiful beautiful, but pretty to the point where it's so aesthetically pleasing to him somehow.

He opened the door to the chief's office. There he found a man who seems to be in his 50's and is wearing a badass for blue outfit. Yep, that has to be the chief.

"Ah, you must be the new officer! I like your choice of outfit by the way."

"Oh thanks."

"I'm Samuel King, the chief of GPD. Please refer to me as Chief King, however."

"Noted."

"Now that you're here, I've got a job for you. A call came in about a woman who was killed at the entrance of town. According to the witness, the killer was wearing a blue cap."

"I'm guessing that this is training?"

"Certainly like that. But don't fret; I've already got a partner assigned for you. His name is David Jones, he responds to Jones. Mind his behavior though, he can be an idiot most of the time. But he's very caring and loyal to the job. Consider him your teacher for this lesson."

"Got it, chief."

"But he's only your partner for this case to see if you wanna stick with him. If he's not good enough for you, you can tell me and I'll assign you to someone else. But if he is, he's your problem. Enough of me talking though. Go catch the killer!"

And with the info he got, June was off.

As June stepped out of the car, another policeman seemed to have showed up as well.

Oh shit.

It seemed like the same dude yesterday. Same brown hair, blue eyes, and was wearing a blue top with a darker blue tie and black pants with black leather boots. And he was fixing his boot as we speak. This has got to be Jones.

June couldn't pass this opportunity to hand him a hello.

"I could have had a thank you, man."

Jones turned around.

"Oh, hey!... A thank you for what?"

"I'm the dude who gave you back your wallet, jackass."

"Oh. OH. Oh, sorry about that, I was in a rush yesterday-"

"Yet a thank you could have been 2 seconds."

"Yeesh, dude, I know that I seemed off, but-"

"Shut up. Let's get to business, old man."

"Old man? OLD MAN?? Mind you, I'm 33!"

"Still old."

"You're one to talk, with your beard and all! You look 40!"

"I'm 25 actually. Beat that. You can't."

"...You're too good. Chief must have sent you here. Junely Shiloh, right?"

"Yep, refer to me as June please. I'm gonna go ahead and assume you're David Jones?"

"I'll call you June if you call me Jones."

"Settled. Now let's go, slowpoke."

"Quit insulting me!"

~ Case 1: The Death of Rosa Wolf (I'm too lazy, so bare with me) ~

After examiningthe body and warehouse, Jones was first to speak. "We should send the body to Nathan. He's our coroner and examines the bodies."

"Hard work."

"Yep."

June picked up a torn shirt. "This seemed like the killer was wearing this sometime while killing Rosa. There's a number nine. I'm gonna assume it belongs to the killer."

"So our killer's wearing a number nine-"

"-and has a blue cap. The chief informed me about it."

"Alright."

-18 hours later-

Both partners walk up to the lab and find a grown man who seems to be in his 40s.

"June, this is Nathan. He's pretty cool."

"A pleasure to meet you June."

June shakes Nathan's hand. "Likewise."

Nathan then wore a serious look on his face. "According to my results, it seems that the killer slit Rosa's throat open. Mind if I add something to your file?"

Jones handed him the file. "Not at all."

Nathan wrote some stuff in. "Good, because judging from the angle, the killer happens to be right handed." He hands the file to June.

"So we got our killer to catch now!"

As June observed the suspect list, Jones prepares the handcuffs.

Matt Bentley or whatever the fuck his name was was sent to prison for 10 years.

"Well, it seems like you're not so slow at all."

"Oh don't tempt me to go and insult you, Jones. I'd have so much fun."

"Well, let's let the chief know!"

- To the Chief's Office -

They both arrived at the chief's office. The chief seemed pleased to know that the case was closed.

"Well, June? Report on Jones? Any complaints?"

Jones was hoping June to say, "No, he's annoying! I want a different partner!" He'd rather keep working alone; it's what he always did since his last partner-

"Oh, no complaints at all, Chief! In fact, he seems rather fun to partner up with and-" an I darted at Jones with a daring smile on his face. "- I would love to know what else this man can do.

Jones didn't know if he should feel flattered or annoyed.

"Very well. Consider yourself lucky then, Jones. You're both dismissed."

Well, this was gonna be a loooooong ride for him.
