Hello, in a move that surprises no one, I want to know about the Louis Rare Pair fic :))))))))))) haha
Haha! Thank you for this surprising reaction to the WIP game 🤪
So the @louisrarepairfest fic is based on Prompt S: bread van fic reimagined with all the guys in Louis’ band.
My original idea was to set the story completely inside the van, one simple space and have 5 characters interacting inside. I intended to make it mostly funny, with sharp forth and backs, but when I started writing I was listening to an Audiobook (italian classic book that I could never read cause it’s tooo dense so I listened to it) and I was inspired by Chapter Three - The Smoke.
And I decided to spice up the things a bit, using the story as a tool to approach to the topic of tobacco/weed in a different light. I don’t know if I can manage lol but this is my project so far.
Since you’re always so nice to me, Anitra, I will also give you a little snippet 🥰 hope you like it!
«Hey, Lou», said Micheal, fingers hidden in the back pocket of his skinny jeans. A single silver earring gleamed under the dim lights when he tilted his head slightly. «Was it your idea?» A soft smile tugged at the corners of his lips, a glimpse of confidence peeking through his bashful facade.
Louis sauntered forward, cigarette dangling from his lips. With a mocking snort, he shook his head, sending puffs of smoke swirling around him. Each step exuded confidence, his eyes crinkling behind dark round sunglasses, the smoldering tip of his cigarette casting a faint glow on his face. « ‘t was Oli’s. File your complaints at him».
Louis took a few more steps and found himself enveloped by the tightknit circle of friends.
«Oliver!», shouted Matt at Louis’ back. The complete name provoked a new wave of laughs among all of them, Louis included. «You don’t pay me enough for this, man!»
«You twats», commented Oli, rolling his eyes, «I even had the van cleaned and freshen up, brought in there some pillows to have your flat asses well rested and comfortable, too».
«Hey, flat ass to who?!» interjected Krystle, the perfect fringe softly brushing her curly eyelashes.
«Definitely not Louis’».
«Except for Louis, I guess».
Louis giggled, pulling up his oversized jumper to uncover the juicy bum on his back. He looks over his shoulder to check himself out, then he hums in agreement. «Can’t say you’re all wrong, to be fair».
UNBETAED. All mistakes are mine

Hahaha thank you!!
And this is actually a really interesting question because I definitely still see them as my ocs to play with as I will, but I think I also have kind of a weird relationship with my ocs where, even in the drafting stages where they literally only exist for me, I don't see my view of them as word of god? I tend to approach it more like they're full people, and I'm just trying to best convey their story. Even as I'm fleshing them out, I'll look at the text or random snippets and think "okay, is there evidence here that this character would do X? Where are the examples that prove they like Y?" So it's less actively adding ideas to them and more just randomly getting hit with inspiration that makes me think "you know, it only makes sense that X would do Y in five years". I refer to them as headcanons cause it almost feels more like a fanfic approach than just actually creating my own characters from scratch haha.
This also means that the longer I'm away from a story, the less I tend to headcanon things for the characters (because I start to forget the finer details and feel less equipped to know what they'd actually do? Which I know sounds wild because I literally made them haha), but with published books, that happens a lot less because even though I finished the last draft of CCL back in like 2021, I'm constantly interacting with fans or seeing pull quotes or whatever that remind me of the story so they can stay with me a lot longer <3
Hello! Are you working on any new stuff ? Goodreads says there are two books of wchih i already own and adore one ( I think I saw a post where you discussed issues with book deals for poc writers had the situation changed at all since then?)
- have you ever considered future continuation to ccl maybe with the boys being bit older and having different issues to work through ?
I just need more character writting by you in my life I love your approach to it I would love to see you work with some absolutelly morally bankrupt characters.
HELLO!!!
So, first and foremost, YES, I am ALWAYS working on new stuff! The situation in publishing has not improved much (because publishing is slow & messy & asjdfjjsasd), but that said, I am definitely working on new stuff, and I will have new stuff to share later this year! The first is my webcomic, A Flair of Fate, and the second is not announced yet but will be soon!
Second, I've gotten quite a few questions about continuing Theo and Gabi's story, so I feel kind of bad admitting that I don't currently have any plans for it! I have a project where they make an appearance (*oooh teasers oooh*), but nothing *about* them, you know? I just don't know what I could write about them going forward? Like, I imagine they're just working at the shop, making bad food puns at each other, and kissing on the roof at sunset sometimes? Like, I don't think I could muster up enough conflict for a real other book. That said, I won't say *never* because something could come to me, but for the moment, they are very much in the "and they lived happily ever after" stage!
And finally, THANK YOU SO MUCH!!! My characters are 100% my biggest investment in my writing so it means the world to me that you love them! I'm also so happy that you said you'd want to see some morally bankrupt characters because I am definitely working on some... things... But I have a very many new stories in the works that really run the gambit of morally gray to just really fucking evil characters, and I'm really excited to be able to share them [eventually]! I'm definitely in my [fictional] villain era so I hope you're excited for just... absolute mess and chaos characters. They my dearest friends <3

◾️ Dana x Looka Mask ♥️ // Snippets from last year when I received some masks from Looka Mask - I wanted to try pick outfits for the four models that matched the mask color, and for Dana, we went more for a black and white blocked look (with hints of gold), and I think it pairs incredibly with the PRISM Black/White Mask ♡ (at Island of Maui) https://www.instagram.com/p/Ccl--T9PYQy/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=
