True, as we know from the example of the same Galaxy S23, and from many other smartphones, the declared frequencies are not at all a guarantee of a certain performance, since everything depends on the temperature regime. The same Galaxy S23, with the overclocked Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 for Galaxy, lost in tests to many smartphones with the regular Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 simply because the latter had better cooling.  Separately, we can recall that the first consumer GPU with a frequency of 1 GHz was the Cape Verde XT based on the Radeon HD 7770 video card, which was released in 2012. It was a GPU with 1.5 billion transistors, which was produced using a 28 nm process technology. At the same time, AMD promised to conquer 1 GHz back in 2009 before the release of the Radeon HD 4890, but the card was released with a core frequency of 850 MHz, and it took another three years for it to finally reach 1 GHz.  Ice Universe was the first to accurately talk about the new trend for smartphones with waterfall screens, about the bangs in the iPhone X, about the new design of the iPhone 14 and about Samsung’s 200-megapixel image sensor.

But will this model truly become widespread? Today AMD officially unveiled the Radeon RX 7900M mobile 3D accelerator. The first laptop with it will be the Dell Alienware m18 R1, and this device will also have a super-powerful processor - AMD Ryzen 9 7945HX3D. And this, of course, is in the USA - in Europe such laptops will be more expensive.

With Arc 5 graphics Emdoor has revealed the first portable gaming console based on the yet-to-be-presented Intel Meteor Lake processor. [caption id="attachment_71733" align="aligncenter" width="780"] AMD[/caption] The EM-GP080MTL model is based on the Meteor Lake-H CPU with a TDP of 20-35 W. The specific model is not specified, but it is indicated that the iGPU is called Arc Graphics 5. Whether this solution is the most powerful is also unclear. Will Intel be able to beat AMD? The console also received an eight-inch screen with a resolution of 1920 × 1200 pixels and 32 GB of RAM. Considering that high-performance mobile Intel processors have never been cheap, it is unlikely that such a console will be at the same price as Asus ROG Ally. At the demonstration, one could see how the God of War game was launched on the console, but it is unclear at what frame rate and in what settings it all worked. Let us remember that there were earlier rumors that the top Meteor Lake will receive an iGPU, which will easily surpass the Radeon 780M in performance and will be close to the 35-watt RTX 3050 Laptop, that is, this will be a new level for integrated graphics processors.
