I assume that engineers are very busy, and so they don’t necessarily have time to make the things they design serviceable. I get it – you’re not building a masterpiece to survive all of eternity, you’re just doing your job. You’re over here, working on the radiator and cooling program, this other guy is doing the radiator support, and the mid-senior-junior-vice-president electromechanical engineer down the hall is up to her neck in work trying to figure out how to mount the horns in a way that doesn’t anger the crash testers.
The chances that the three of you, collectively, slow your productivity shit way down – or worse, have a meeting – to make it easier to reach the electrical connector for that horn so you can remove it without cutting your hands on the fins of the air-conditioning condenser are about negative one billion percent. That would be preposterous – horns don’t break, right? Tell that to the dumpster-dove Spider-Man bandages that I have applied to my right hand because of your shortsighted design decisions.
And your boss isn’t gonna show up and demand repairability become a priority. No, your boss gets paid because people buy cars, and people will stop buying cars if the car lasts forever. Even if they jam an Android tablet in the dash sideways and start making the wheels bigger. Hell, my neighbour is still booting around in a 1994 Camry XLE, and the minute he expresses even the slightest subconscious desire to be rid of it, he will have a lawn full of folks offering top dollar for such an esteemed chariot. Toyota probably would have gone bankrupt back then making shit like this, if they hadn’t had all those trucks to sell to terrorist organizations in distant foreign wars. Those guys are gonna have to buy a new truck every couple of months when their old one gets shot up, so it’s okay to make those super-durable.
All I’m asking for is that you think once in awhile about making a bolt accessible. It’s not hard, just make sure they drill a hole over top of it, so that I can stick a nice long socket in there when the captive nut on the other end breaks off and just spins forever. Even though you might have a good day at work because of taking a shortcut like that, I guarantee you that the massive amounts of bad karma I am heaping upon your name while intermittently sobbing in my garage are not worth it. You’ll get reincarnated as a lighting engineer.

This morning I woke up at the insane time of 3:15 AM. Shockingly, I felt well rested. I read in bed for a while, finally finishing a book the library automatically renewed twice. I did not care for the ending. It seemed like the author looked at his watch or calendar and realized there's a deadline, so time to cram a lot of action and resolution into nine pages and call it done.
Then I got up and started laundry. I like doing laundry. That's why my wife doesn't care what I spend on a washer and dryer. She's relieved of laundry duty.
Of course I don't waste money on some machine that gives me a choice of chimes to signal the end of the cycle. I have a solid, practical washer/dryer combo. If they were cars they'd be Toyota Camrys, the XLE trim level, and probably with the V6.
After brewing and ingesting a fair amount of coffee I washed all the bedding in the house. Sunrise today was 6:56 AM. Any awake neighbors might have laughed at me because I was hanging sheets, a blanket, and a quilt on my clothesline two hours before the darkness left. Even the bats likely thought I was crazy.
When it finally got light outside I took the dogs to the airport dog park. Plane-watching sucked. We saw some other Aussies, which always makes me smile.'
When Ella, Oliver, and Sulley were tired I brought them home, Then I got my Surly Cross Check out for a ride. I did a ten mile loop around the three Minneapolis lakes I enjoy being at. The weather was perfect.
Later, grocery shopping followed by making the beds and cleaning around the house.
Sulley still had energy. He's a year-and-a-half old. Ella is 12 and Oliver is 10. It really pissed off the older dogs when I took only Sulley for a walk around Lake Harriet. The other two would have been too exhausted to complete the 2.8 mile loop, though Ella would have liked a swim.
Now I think I understand why Sulley did poorly in obedience school. He's rarely on a leash. Between our fenced-in back yard and the mostly fenced-in dog park, that boy isn't used to having a leash on except to go from the car to the park gate or when he's in a brewery.
At the lake the first ten minutes were awkward as he and I figured out leash protocol. Then it got easy. He was very well behaved. Now I'm starting to think of trying another obedience class, after I take him on more leashed long walks.
Top picture is a view of Bde Maka Ska from a bike path. That's the Dakota name that replaced Lake Calhoun as the lake's current name. The second picture is the trolley car that runs from Lake Harriet to Bde Maka Ska. The operator rang a bell to warn Sulley and me to not attempt to cross the street as the trolley approached. It was kind of cute.
Now I'm going to eat a Jimmy John's sub and watch the final season of Succession. I don't like waiting week by week for new episodes. I waited for some time and now I can binge watch it.

Toyota Camry Car Wrap: Elevate Your Everyday Drive
The Toyota Camry, known for its reliability, comfort, and sleek design, is a staple on roads worldwide. While the Camry is already a standout vehicle, a custom car wrap can take its appearance to the next level. In this article, we'll explore the best car wrap options for different Camry models, the wrap sizes you'll need, and the expected costs.
Choosing the Perfect Car Wrap for Your Toyota Camry
Selecting the right car wrap for your Camry depends on your style and how you want your car to be perceived. Here are some popular options:
Matte Finish: Ideal for a modern and sophisticated look, matte wraps offer a unique appearance that sets your Camry apart from the rest.
Glossy Finish: If you prefer to maintain the factory shine but want to add a personal touch, glossy wraps are a perfect choice. They provide a fresh, polished look.
Satin Finish: Satin wraps strike a balance between matte and glossy finishes, giving your Camry a smooth, luxurious appearance without too much glare.
Metallic Finish: For a bit of sparkle and shine, metallic wraps add a premium feel to your Camry, making it look more upscale and eye-catching.
Color Shift: These wraps change color based on the angle and lighting, giving your Camry a dynamic, ever-changing look that's sure to attract attention.
Wrap Sizes for Different Toyota Camry Models
The size of the wrap you need depends on the model of your Camry. Here's a general guide:
Toyota Camry LE and SE: These standard models typically require a wrap size of around 50 feet by 5 feet to cover the entire car, including bumpers, roof, and side mirrors.
Toyota Camry XLE and XSE: With additional styling elements and larger body dimensions, these models might need slightly more material, about 55 feet by 5 feet.
Toyota Camry TRD: The TRD model, with its sportier design and added aerodynamic features, usually requires around 60 feet by 5 feet for a full wrap.
These measurements can vary based on the complexity of the wrap design and any additional custom elements you may want to include.
Cost of Wrapping Your Toyota Camry
The cost of wrapping a Toyota Camry can vary widely based on several factors, including the type of wrap, the complexity of the installation, and your location. Here's a breakdown of the average costs:
Basic Vinyl Wrap: For a simple, single-color wrap, you can expect to pay between $2,000 and $3,000. This price includes both material and labor.
Custom Designs: If you're opting for a custom design or a more complex wrap, such as a metallic or color shift finish, the cost can range from $3,500 to $5,000.
Additional Elements: Adding extra elements like custom graphics, stripes, or logos can add $500 to $1,000 to the total cost.
DIY Kits: If you're confident in your skills and want to try wrapping your Camry yourself, DIY kits are available starting at around $800. However, professional installation is recommended for the best results.
Conclusion
Wrapping your Toyota Camry is an excellent way to enhance its appearance and make it truly unique. Whether you prefer a matte, glossy, satin, metallic, or color shift finish, there's a car wrap that matches your style. Ensure you measure your specific model correctly to get the right amount of material and consider professional installation for the best outcome. While costs can vary, the investment in a car wrap is well worth it for the transformation it brings to your trusted Camry.
So, elevate your everyday drive and turn heads with a stunning new look that showcases your personality and taste.

Toyota Cancels the Gas version of the best selling Sedan in America from Test Miles on Vimeo.
In an automotive industry racing towards electrification, Toyota takes a commanding lead with its unveiling of the 2025 Toyota Camry, marking a significant shift in the company’s strategy towards hybrid electric vehicles (HEVs). This next-gen Camry, set to hit dealerships in Spring 2024, not only challenges conventional wisdom but also positions Toyota as a front-runner in the hybrid technology race.
Crafted in the United States, the ninth-generation Camry is a daring declaration of Toyota’s commitment to hybrid technology. Exclusively available as a Hybrid Electric Vehicle, this model promises to be a cornerstone in Toyota’s lineup, featuring the 5th Generation Toyota Hybrid System with options for both front-wheel drive (FWD) and all-wheel drive (AWD).
Under the hood, the 2025 Camry houses a 2.5-liter, 4-cylinder engine paired with two electric motors. FWD models boast 225 net combined horsepower, while AWD models push the envelope further with 232 net combined horsepower, a notable 30HP increase over its predecessors. This enhancement not only signifies Toyota’s engineering prowess but also their dedication to providing consumers with a blend of efficiency and performance.
From a design perspective, Toyota doesn’t hold back. The Camry’s exterior, a product of the creative minds at CALTY’s studios in Newport Beach and Ann Arbor, features a distinctive hammerhead front fascia complemented by slim LED headlights and an assortment of color options that speak volumes about the car’s bold aesthetics. The sport grades, namely SE and XSE, elevate the design with aerodynamic air ducts, front-side canards, and an exposed dual-tip exhaust, encapsulating the essence of sportiness with a dash of elegance.
Inside, the Camry transitions from bold to inviting, offering interiors that range from the SofTex®-trimmed seats with bold white accents in the SE grade to the luxurious leather and Dinamica® microfiber-trimmed seats with quilted patterns in the XLE grade. This attention to detail extends to the Camry’s technological suite, featuring everything from digital gauge clusters to a comprehensive Toyota Audio Multimedia System, ensuring connectivity and entertainment are never compromised.
Toyota’s dedication to safety is evident in the Camry’s suite of driver assistance features, including the advanced Toyota Safety Sense 3.0, and additional perks for XLE and XSE grades like Traffic Jam Assist and Panoramic View Monitor. Moreover, the warranty packages, particularly the 10-year/150,000-mile hybrid battery warranty, underline Toyota’s confidence in their hybrid technology.
Beyond the Camry, Toyota’s commitment to the U.S. market and its future in electrification is clear. With over 65 years of presence, employing more than 49,000 Americans, and the announcement of its 10th plant in North Carolina dedicated to automotive batteries, Toyota is not just manufacturing cars; it’s gearing up for a sustainable future. The Driving Possibilities initiative, with a $110 million commitment, reflects Toyota’s broader vision of community engagement and technological advancement.
As we look towards 2024 and beyond, the 2025 Toyota Camry stands as a testament to Toyota’s innovative spirit and a harbinger of the automotive industry’s electrified future. With this bold pivot to an exclusively hybrid lineup, Toyota challenges the status quo, inviting drivers to rethink what’s possible with hybrid technology. The question now is not just about the Camry’s place in the market, but how its arrival will redefine the standards of automotive excellence and environmental responsibility

Now only a hybrid Toyota, which sells about 300,000 Camrys a year, has unveiled the ninth generation of its popular sedan. The 2025 Toyota Camry is available exclusively as a hybrid, and buyers can choose between front- or all-wheel drive configurations, as well as LE, SE, XLE and XSE trim levels. Its hybrid powertrain combines a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine with electric motors. The front-wheel drive version is equipped with two electric motors with a total power of 225 hp. The AWD version adds a third motor-generator to the rear axle, increasing total power to 232 hp. The ninth-generation Camry is a major update, not a completely new car. The 2025 model is based on the same TNGA-K platform that was used in the eighth generation model. There's a reworked suspension with new shock absorbers and revised tuning. The automaker touts the setup as offering "enhanced responsiveness and agility." By • Olalekan Fagbade BREAKING; Court issues arrest warrant for former Deputy Governor over fraud allegation An Akure Magistrate Court has issued a bench warrant for former Ondo State deputy governor, Agboola Ajayi. The warrant was issued in response to allegations of stealing leveled against the immediate past deputy governor of the state. He was accused of obtaining a brand new Toyota Camry valued at N5.4 million through false pretenses and engaging in theft back in May 2018. The Commissioner of Police had submitted an application for a bench warrant to ensure Ajayi’s appearance before the court to answer the allegations. Following the application, the court ordered that Ajayi be produced in court or provide a statement on November 24. Meanwhile, two former aides of Agboola Ajayi, namely Ogunmusi Samuel and Akintoye Olatunji, have already been arraigned before the court in relation to the car allegedly taken from one Segun Adetuwo, popularly known as Showboy. In his statement, Samuel claimed that the former deputy governor instructed him to accompany Olatunji to collect the car from Adetuwo. He said he collected a black-colored Toyota Camry XLE from Adetuwo but left without making any payment for the vehicle. The court was informed by the prosecutor, Emmanuel Tanimowo, that Ajayi had failed to respond to the invitation to present his side of the incident. #CourtissueswarrantofarrestagainstformerDeputyGovernoroverfraudallegations

2022 Toyota Corolla Cross XLE AWD
Corolla is always a winner, right? Well, now it's a crossover and a sedan. Here's a look at the Corolla Cross!
Crossover version another solid, reliable Corolla … Many automotive brands have their own version of the golden goose, the go-to model moniker that virtually assures success due to long-term image and reputation. Ford has Mustang and F-150, while Toyota has Camry and Corolla. For nearly 50 years now in the U.S. market, Corolla has been synonymous with quality, reliability and value. Flashy? No,…

I don't know if this is still a thing, but when I was a kid there was a stereotype that all dentists drive Porsches. Like all "all" statements, this one can be trivially disproven by finding a counterexample. Allow me to submit into evidence the example of my own dentist, who drives a 2021 Toyota Camry XLE in Resale Value White Metallic.
Sure, this Camry makes more horsepower than virtually all Porsche 911s throughout history ever made, and costs more than a large majority of them prior to the 80s, but it's not about numbers. What people really resent is the idea that someone else, a trained and educated professional, is making money off their fucked-up, never-flossed teeth. Porsche owners have bank, and consider themselves to be a world apart from the people they're forced to cut bad-smelling holes in the bones of every day. That's the origin of the stereotype.
You can see similar complaints about the labour rate of the humble neighbourhood mechanic, but the stereotype doesn't follow. The only difference is: no decent mechanic would ever be so dumb as to drive a Porsche to work. Not when they could instead operate some dangerous combination of half-completed engine swap, un-repaired crash damage, and loose wiring lying on the floor that they have to bonk together if they want turn signals. It was a good deal, you see. Instead, mechanics are painted as being straight out scammers. He told me I needed four new tires, but I was fine just replacing the worst one for a month or two before my car inexplicably slid off the road. Fucking liar.
Is there a kind of high-labour-cost service job out there that doesn't receive complaints and stereotypes? Outside of "horse boarder," I can't really think of one. Perhaps the universal constant amongst all of humanity is to look at several thousand hours of education, and then go "hey, I could do that." You can start right now by building your own 911. All it takes is one of those old rusty Beetles on the end of the junkyard, and a 302 out of one of those Lincoln Town Cars. Then you can really show your dentist what's up, as long as you don't bonk out your luxury bones on the steering wheel the first time you spin it into a ditch. Race car drivers are so overpaid.

Toyota Corolla (1993-Present)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
This post continues to show how the Corolla changed from being a standard compact car in 1993 to being one of the most best-selling cars in the world by 2020.
1993-1997 Toyota Corolla (E100)
The E100 generation was a much larger, heavier, and more aerodynamic car, than the E90 Corolla generation. It had also moved into the class of compact cars, taking the place of the Corona and the Camry.
Tumblr media
1998-2002 Toyota Corolla (E110)
The E110 generation shared the bodystyle (and even doors on most variants) as the previous generation of Corolla. For this generation, the Base, XLi, GLi, and SE-G trim levels were introduced as well.
Tumblr media
2003-2008 Toyota Corolla (E120/130)
The E120/E130 Generation came with a longer wheelbase. This generation of the Corolla in particular, was designed as a global car to suit the market needs of different countries, which helped it become one of the most popular generation of Corollas ever sold. This generation also sparked the production of the Toyota Matrix hatchback, which sold in the U.S., Canada, and Mexico.
Tumblr media
2009-2013 Toyota Corolla (E140/E150)
This generation of Corolla was based on the E120 generation, which is seen by the similar designed bodystyle and doors. However, the E140s which were sold in the U.S. (and most of Asia) used the wider version of the E140 platform, while South Africa and other countries were sold the E150 edition. This generation of Corolla shared similar styling components to both the Camry and the Yaris, and overall improved in driving conditions compared to the previous generation. In the 2011 model, not only was the Corolla given a slight facelight (with new front and rear designs as well as changes to the interior). The XLE and XRS trims were discontinued in the U.S.
Tumblr media
2014-2019 Toyota Corolla (E170/E180)
For this generation, the Corolla had an increase in the length of its wheelbase. The front and rear design for the North American E170 was based on the Toyota Furia concept car. This generation was offered in the L, LE, S, and introduced the LE Eco as well. The Corolla had also become the world's best-selling car by this point. By the 2015 model year, a Special Edition Corolla, based on the S trim was introduced, and in the 2017 model year, not only was the S trim replaced with an SE trim, the XSE was introduced as well the Corolla recieving new exterior paint options.
Tumblr media
2020-Present Toyota Corolla (E210)
The current generation of the Corolla to date includes a hatchback and station wagon variations in addition to the sedan. In the 2022 model year, the Corolla introduced a GR Corolla based on the hatchback. The L (or base model) was dropped for this generation in the U.S. and the Corolla remains the best-selling sedan in the world with 1.6% of the market.

2023 Toyota Camry
Overview
The Camry is a stalwart of the midsize sedan market, which has been losing customers and new entrants as the world has embraced SUVs in recent years. Despite the shifting market, the Camry has maintained its dominance as the best-selling passenger car for the past 20 years, topping the sales charts. It has a well-deserved reputation for dependability and has a hybridized model that offers excellent fuel efficiency. Especially when equipped with the Nightshade package, which adds bronze wheels for 2023, or the aggressive-looking TRD trim, the current generation of the Camry verges on stylish. In addition, a lot of the Camry's competitors, like the Honda
Tumblr media
What has changed for 2023?
The SE trim's Nightshade kit, which is available for 2023, adds black headlight and taillight trim to go with the model's black front grille, rear spoiler, mirror caps, and emblems. Unexpectedly, the matte bronze 19-inch wheels added to the Nightshade don't look out of place. The package can be added to Midnight Black, White, or a fresh shade of blue called Reservoir. More driver-assistance features are added to the rest of the Camry lineup, such as automatic high beams and a forward-facing camera that can read some road signs and display them on the digital display.
Performance - Engine, Transmission, and Other
Although the eight-speed automated transmission and conventional four-cylinder engine are smooth, the powerplant's acceleration capabilities are underwhelming. The Camry hybrid is powered by a less potent variation of that engine coupled with a battery and two electric motors, but it isn't any more fun to drive than the original engine. The silky 301-hp V-6, which is offered on the XLE, XSE, and TRD models as well as the variation, is the actual diamond of this lineup. Additionally, we're pleased to report that we no longer detest driving the Camry. It handles surprisingly well and has a controlled ride. When cornering, the steering has a pleasing weight to it, and it feels light when navigating parking lots.

Cargo, Comfort, and the Interior
We've driven the Camry in both its top-tier XLE and more budget-friendly SE trim levels. Both are roomy and cozy, but the XLE is beyond opulent. However, there is a significant difference in material quality between the less expensive variants and the more expensive models, and the dashboard's central part turned off some of us with its uninspiring design. The Camry is a spacious sedan with plenty of storage space inside, both in the cabin and in the trunk when the back seat is folded. Although it isn't the top in every storage category, it is very competitive overall.
