Asha
Tumblr media
My current design for my Asha
A little Lady with a big heart and is about to go on the ride of a lifetime
Qualms of her Occupation
- Asha is 19 years old and the current assistant of King Magnifico. She has worked as an assistant for 3 years and has a passion for helping others
- Though she enjoys helping those around her, the citizens of Rosas can be… needy. Rumor has it that the assistant and their family have a guaranteed chance of having their wish granted, but the assistant could have the King grant the wishes of citizens and friends. And the people often have multiple wishes after their deepest one. So, Asha is often bombarded by people being pseudo-friendly and asking Asha to ask the King to grant their Wishes next or grant their other wishes.
- Asha, being a people pleaser at the moment, will usually write down their names and extra wishes while trying to politely leave the crowd (they won’t make it easy). Even when she actually says no, they won’t take it for answer. Best case scenario when she says no, ask her again the next day. Worst case scenario, a stalking situation.
- To avoid anymore crowds, she wears a cloak and a mask to hide as she goes to the castle. Simon and Gabo will also walk her to the castle if they can, but the strategy became harder to use as citizens soon recognized her disguise and her friends and continued to swarm her. Magnifico gave her a variety of different cloaks and masks to use and even offered his guardian lynx, Charo, to help her go home. She declined the lynx because it seemed extreme and felt bad needing his help.
- The irony of it all is that her wish hadn't been granted since she gave it to Magnifico. She enjoys her life and only had two wishes. To draw motion pictures like her father and for people to treat her a normal person and actually treat her a neighbor as opposed to a cheat code for abundance. The second wish was written down so she wouldn't forget it before her 18th birthday and refers back to that writing whenever she has dealt with people and is slightly impatient for it be granted.
Personality Traits
> Kind and passionate
> Strategic and honest
> Hard-working and balanced
> Hopeful but naïve
> Helpful but unconfrontational
Hobbies
- She loves drawing and has walked to many high points in the kingdom to sketch or paint the landscape. She is working to create “moving pictures” like her father did.
- Asha enjoys reading about astrology and high fantasy. She will invite her friends to read with her in the forest whenever they have time.
Background
• Asha lives in the forest and helps her mother, Sakura, grow food, cook, do laundry and other manual tasks for the house.
• Sakira is a seamstress that will go into the market to sell handmade garments and offer to repair or customize a client's garments.
• Sakira likes to knit as a hobby.
• Her father, Tomás, was a royal philosopher and astronomer for the Monarchs. He would take his family to the wishing tree at the coast and tell them about his the constellations and his philosophies. Asha would pay the most attention to his lectures.
• Tomás gave away his wish to become the greatest philosopher but felt a void in his soul since then. He would spend his time waiting by drawing, and later built a passion for art and rediscovered the old magic of "motion pictures". He would teach Asha the same magic and most importantly, he taught her how to commit to building a skill you are passionate about even when it was difficult and frustrating.
• He died when Asha was 12 to a pre-existing heart condition. The Monarchs sent their condolences and offered to pay for the funeral expenses.
• Sabino was a well renowned musician when he was younger.
• Sabino once broke his mandolin after whacking one of Asha's stalkers over the head with it. He had it repaired and reinforced to take the force.
• Asha was the third assistant to be hired by the King and was his assistant for the longest time.
• She had an "unpleasant" encounter with an ex-assistant that made her reconsider letting Charo guard her.
• The citizens of Rosas are puzzled by Asha's lack of desires for the King to grant and her persistence to develope a skill rather than wish to become a professional.
• Ever since becoming an assistant, Asha's conversation with citizens have been shallow. She would talk about an exciting view of the kingdom and try to show it with a painting just to be cut off with "yeah, yeah, fun but not important. Anyway can tell the King if he can grant me a(n) *insert extra wish here*".
• In this AU, how many wishes are granted can be inconsistent. Sometimes, only 1 wish will be granted in a month. Sometimes, 2 will be granted in a week. Sometimes 3 will be granted in a month. Sometimes, 4 will be granted in a night. It's hard to keep track. What is consistent is that there is a Wish taking ceremony once a month.
• Wishes are only granted at night to keep them a surprise and to lower public anticipation. When a wish is granted, It is transformed into a large, yellow, plasma moth. Magnifico will open the roof of his tower to let them return to the og wisher.
• In each wish taking ceremony, whomever has given up a wish is tracked by Dario. Once you give up a wish, you are not allowed to give up another one until the next year. Dario is employed to be sure of this.
Little quirks ✨
° She will stroke her hair whenever she is nervous.
° Asha is quite strong for her age and size. She helps with the manual labor of her home and has carried large books, bundles of sticks, bags of rocks, and other heavy supplies for the King’s work. *This will come into play later.
° Her favorite colors are purple, orange and gold.
° Asha occasionally draws Valentino as a full grown billy fighting giant hawks and shows him as a form of encouragement (he's afraid of most birds).
@annymation @oh-shtars @chillwildwave @signed-sapphire @uva124 Ayo, this was fun to write

Character Fun Facts
Tumblr media
Progress on Chapter Six has been a little slow, so I decided to offer something different in the meantime.
Asha 🗡️
She’s actually very good with children, and occasionally they’ll ask her to tell them stories from her adventures in Rosas. She also tells them a lot of the same stories Thomás told her.
She’s not very good at drawing people. She sticks to mostly drawing landscapes and animals.
Her sword was passed down to her from Thomás, who received it as a special gift from King Enrique himself.
She looks a lot more like her father then her mother.
She’s actually 20 in this story, while Flazino is 19. I decided to make her a little older in this story since she started stealing from Rosas at 14, giving her 6 years of experience, which made the most sense to me.
Earendel ✨
His real life counterpart is WHL0137-LS, which is actually the earliest and most distant star we know of at 28 billion light-years away.
His favorite animals are deer, hence the addition of antlers on his cloak. Quite a bit of the time he spent watching Earth was spent observing deer.
Since the sun is a star, his powers are connected to Rapunzel’s from Tangled. However, since he is a star himself, he doesn’t have to sing to heal people or make them younger.
He’s considered very odd for a star with his interest in Earth. The stars around him are old enough to still remember their conflict with humans, and they don’t understand how anyone could see them as anything besides monsters. But Earendel believes things could be different if they just tried to make peace.
Due to his beliefs he’s very ostracized from the rest of the stars. All except for Queen Charia, who seems to hold the same beliefs and treats Earendel with the most respect and kindness. Because of this he came to look up to her like a mother figure.
Flazino 🎵
On his eighteenth birthday, Dahlia scrapped up enough money to buy him a lute, which he absolutely loves. Which his parents watching him a lot closer however, he’s had very little chance to play it.
Although he lacks skill in magic, he’s very talented in things such as philosophy, literature, and the arts. Which really annoys Manuel, who is heavily into magic and politics.
Whenever he has a chance, he’ll slip off into the city wearing a cloak as a disguise and just pretend to be a normal peasant for a while. The only person besides Dahlia who knows this is Gabo, a local merchant’s son he befriended a few years before the story.
He’s actually a little allergic to cats, which he uses as an excuse to avoid Charo and Amaya.
Some rumors float around the castle that him and Dahlia are a thing, but that’s never been true. Him and Dahlia have always been just really close friends.
Manuel 👑
He always viewed Enrique as a weak and pathetic king who didn’t realize the potential of his own power. Although Enrique could never figure out why Manuel grew so distant from him.
He was actually the one to set Thomás up with Sakina when they were teenagers. He saw a spark between them and ultimately knew they would be a perfect match.
Instead of flowers, Manuel gifts Amaya bundles of herbs for special occasions that she can use in her potions.
He hates Charo just as much as Flazino does, but doesn’t dare to admit it around his wife.
He knew Asha before him and Thomás went their separate ways, back when she was a baby.
Amaya 🧪
There have been some accidents and shenanigans with her potions, like spilling a potion and making several of her books fly around the room, or Charo drinking a little and becoming huge.
Speaking of Charo, she found him as a kitten alone in a crate while walking through the marketplace. She took pity on him and took him in, even after Manuel told her no.
She’s actually very talented with the flute, and is probably where Flazino got his love of music from.
She always despised Tomás, viewing him as a dirty good-for-nothing peasant who just got lucky with the king. Completely ignoring her own history with Manuel of course.
She and Manuel never wanted kids, but since it would look off if they never had any heirs, the had Flazino out of obligation.

Promising debut for ShoesRoom by Momad
The new event organized by IFEMA in collaboration with FICE, which took place at the La Nave site from 1 to 3 March, attracted more than 2,700 professional visitors and 85 brands to its first event
Madrid, 15 March, 2019.- ShoesRoom by Momad, the new and modern event developed by IFEMA in collaboration with FICE to promote the footwear industry, closed its doors with a promising outlook. The debut of this new commercial platform concept, held from 1 to 3 March in La Nave, a modern industrial setting outside the Feria de Madrid area, was well received in general, both by the 85 participating companies and the 2,700 professional visitors who came to this event with the footwear industry, in which the quality, innovation and creativity of Made in Spain could be confirmed.
Charo Izquierdo, the Director of Shoesroom by Momad, said she was happy with the results obtained in the first edition. “We have managed to get the sector to support this new event, not only the companies that participated, but also others that visited it and that have already indicated their intention to participate in the next one”. However, added Izquierdo, “this is just the starting point, I think this trade fair model has the potential to grow more and better develop and, therefore, we have to continue working to reinforce the event and make it the sector’s great trade fair in Spain”.
Visitors from all over the world
Among the more than 2,700 professionals who visited the show, there were buyers from all over Spain and from different parts of the world. Indeed, reinforcing the internationalization of participating brands is one of the strategic objectives of the event. This resulted in the launch in collaboration with Icex and the Federation of Spanish Footwear Industries (FICE) of an important programme of international buyers, composed of 49 representatives from 31 prominent establishments and distribution chains from Chile, Costa Rica, Ecuador, Guatemala, Peru, Puerto Rico, the Dominican Republic, South Korea, Taiwan, Saudi Arabia, Israel, Jordan, Kuwait and the Lebanon.
ShoesRoom by Momad brought together 85 companies, with their collections for Fall-Winter 2019/20 and Spring-Summer 2019, including emblematic brands from this industry, such as Callaghan, Pons Quintana, Pertini, Exé, Chie Mihara, Wonders, Mustang , Unisa, Gioseppo, Jaime Mascaró, Luis Onofre, Sison, Acebos, Igor, Alma de Candela, Gaimo, Kelme, Victoria, Alma en Pena, Azarey, Vidorreta, United Nude, Pepe Milan, Xyon, Arche, Som.mits, Kayakstorms, Aerobics and Nerogiardini , among others.
Innovation Awards
One of the most outstanding parallel events of ShoesRoom by Momad was the presentation of its 1st Awards for Innovation, aimed at all professionals and companies in this industry. The awarded companies were Excelsus,
Unisa, Callaghan, Gioseppo and Mikonos. These awards were created with the aim of adding value to initiatives that work on the process of adapting to new business and consumer models, as well as on the constant development of the footwear industry and the professional work of the sector”.
The prize in the category of Innovation in Retail went to Mikonos, an establishment from Logroño; the Fashion Innovation award to the firm Excelsus; and the award for Corporate Social Responsibility to the firm Gioseppo. Furthermore, the prize for Innovation in Technology went to Callaghan and the Lifetime Achievement Award to Unisa.
In addition, during the presentation of these awards, special mention was made of the figure of Tomás Moreno, recently deceased, because of his personal and professional commitment to this industry, as the ambassador of the La Rioja and Spanish footwear sector, both within and outside our borders.
  1st Innovation Conference
ShoesRoom by Momad also included an interesting programme of presentations at its 1st Innovation Conference, organized in collaboration with the digital portal www.modaes.es and La Nave.
In a meeting about the challenges and future of the footwear industry, new presentation and promotion formulas for the sector were proposed, which, in the opinion of Charo Izquierdo, Director of ShoesRoom by Momad, should evolve towards “more intimate and specialized events, which allow the creation of a closer relationship between manufacturers, distributors and merchants”. Pedro Alegría, from FICE, stated that the sector should move towards “innovative concepts, such as ShoesRoom by Momad, in order to maximize profitability”. And Juan Carlos Fernandez, of the firm Pons Quintana, said that these events help “strengthen relations with customers and manufacturers, in addition to getting to know the trends of the sector”. For her part, Maite Ruiz Atela, from Global Fashion magazine, warned that fashion “has to seduce and thrill to overcome the crisis of creativity that has occurred in recent years”. And Diego de Vicente, founder of Moddo, encouraged people “to continue innovating and specializing in order to show something different and appealing to buyers”.
In another meeting on digitalisation, also within the framework of the 1st Innovation Conference, the experts concluded that shoe merchants and manufacturers must join forces and collaborate in an omni-channel market. The founder of Moddo, Diego de Vicente, warned that “digitalisation does not only imply e-commerce, but also affects inventories, the experience of human teams or the global vision of sales”; Victoria Vera, of Icex, announced that soon this organisation will launch an influencers’ programme in markets in five countries, from which companies in the sector will benefit. Also, the creator of Medi-Shoes, Montse Expósito, affirmed that this system of real foot measurement will allow people to work out the size of feet of online buyers.
Other meetings were also held within the framework of the 1st Innovation Conference, such as the round tables on Digital Natives, in which Beatriz Cebrián from Beyton, Mónica Casal from Tandem Up, and Mireia Playá from Mireia Playá all participated; on Innovative Production as a stamp of brand identity, in which Clara Alfaro from 5ymedio and Carlos Adams, from Carlos Adams, took part. This conference also had a space to share with attendees two success stories in the Footwear sector, in which Basilio García from the Callaghan firm, and Enrique Bretos from the Pisamonaschildren’s shoe stores took part.
Other activities parallel to the commercial activity of ShoesRoom by Momad took place in a space developed together with the Technological Footwear Centre of La Rioja (CTCR, in its Spanish initials), in which companies were able to show their models of footwear through holograms, and a broad plan of event activities on social media, so that participating brands could be seen online by the public at large.
In addition, the event included the latest technological innovations in leading brands, such as Callaghan and Mireia Playà, as well as CTCR and Inescop.
The next edition of ShoesRoom by Momad will take place from 20 to 22 September, 2019 at the La Nave venue, which hosted this recent event.
