When it comes to a short holiday, where you can not only have the best of sea food, but also party till wee hours..you have to be talking about destination Goa in India! Even if you are looking not to party (which hardly ever happens!), this place is serene and has incredible natural beauty, which will have your peace restored!

I stay in Mumbai, and this city often has a way of wearing you out. A getaway like Goa often beckons to the tired souls. So the link I am sharing here, is of the resort I had put up in when I visited Goa last year. When you talk about Goa, you may find a thousand and one hotels to put up in the moment you search Google, and I'm sure most of them would be nice. However, mind you this hotel has a special place in the hearts of the local-ites there and is an experience of sorts. I know this because I have spent my formative few years schooling there, and the place therefore is very dear to me. 

Unfortunately, this time around I have no photographs so to speak  (except a tiny one, which I have shared below) of this hotel, but the website can give you a tour. It is 5 star resort overlooking the sea and has a private beach named Vainguinim Beach. Also once you land there, you will find an almost Portuguese feel in this hotel. It is commonly known that Goa used to be the strong hold of Portuguese invaders and their missionaries from the 15th centuries till even very modern times, almost till the beginning of 20th century. Portuguese culture in this state is predominant to modern times. The hotel is actually located away from the party scene which is mainly located in North Goa. Being a 5 star, it has its own live music and karaoke scene, and also some amazing food on their lists. This is in proximity to the Dona Paula, so one can enjoy the serenity of this place here, and if need be drive down for an experience in North Goa for a night.
