Making your house more beautiful with the help of different wall clocks
Read on the below given article to know about wall clocks.
Wall clocks have a wider range of uses beyond merely showing time. Yes, they serve a purpose, but they may also be fashionable and entertaining. Wall clocks may be used to add a splash of color, complement the existing furnishings, or inject a bit of whimsy into any space. Your kids' bedroom might benefit greatly from decorative wall clocks with fun themes. Now imagine that your son's bedroom is decorated in a western theme. The only limitation here is your own creativity, since it is now extremely simple to locate cowboy clocks with swinging pendulums. You can't go wrong with a wall clock as a present for friends, family, or even kids if you're at a loss for gift ideas.
Various Forms and Styles of Wall Clocks
You can choose a wall clock that complements your home's existing aesthetic while also letting your individuality shine through. You can easily Buy Flicker Candles. A wide selection of wall clocks is available, both online and in specialized stores. There is a wall clock for every room in the house. Clocks for the wall may be fashioned from a variety of materials. Most conventional wall clocks are crafted from wood, plastic, metal, or glass. It's interesting to see how many distinct varieties of wall clocks are on the market nowadays, such as;
Clocks with a Special Theme: All of these watches are made with a certain concept in mind. Animals like bears, lions, and more gorgeous butterflies are excellent case studies for these wall clocks, but they also come in the form of food and even a driving wheel. Wall Clocks Ireland are indeed very good. Then, to show your allegiance to your favorite sports teams, there are clocks with a sports motif. Then there are the wall clocks with historical themes, such as Paddington wall Clocks and Victoria station wall clocks based on those designs. Children's dial wall clocks are a great example of a wall clock with an educational focus. Clocks of this kind, no matter the subject matter, are always great conversation pieces and may be given as thoughtful tokens of affection.
Wall Clocks, Decorative/Ornamental: These timepieces are aimed at design-savvy consumers who are also concerned with the clocks' use. There are several options when it comes to wall clocks, including but not limited to those with dual-purpose calendars and artistically carved glass cases and glass pendulums.
Wall clocks with religious or motivational themes often use modest quartz components and artful depictions of biblical or literary characters. Arabic and Roman numbers are often seen on the most sought-after models.
Commercial wall clocks are meant to withstand heavy use and frequent cleaning, therefore they include characteristics like large hands, a large face, and a metal casing. This is more at home in a business setting.

Chapter 7 Fieldwork!
NICK JR.
How many commercials were aimed at boys?
Ricky Zoom- a little motorcycle toy that children can play with, I would say that it was aimed at little boys because it was a little boy playing with the bike and the color blue was prominent.
Yeti in my Spaghetti- a game in which there were two little boys and two little girls sitting at one table playing the game, however in the commercial only the boys were talking.
Hot Wheel City- a car game with toys, and it somewhat looked terrifying with the giant snake that had slime dripping off its teeth. There were only boys in the commercial so I believe that it is safe to say that it was directed towards boys.
How many girls?
Bluey- is a little “doll house” like game. It is a house in which there are little dogs inhabiting it and the children can play with them as they will. However it was not aimed towards a specific gender but it was little girls playing with them.
Downy- in this commercial there was a grown woman talking about how her clothes were itchy and how her life changed after using downy. I would say that it was aimed at girls because it was a lady speaking and she was doing laundry (this reinforces the behavior of thinking that it is a woman’s job to maintain a home, while it goes both ways)
Fur Real- a little toy that is a unicorn or a kitten with wings. The colors are pink and purple, there were only little girls in the commercial so I would say that it was aimed at young girls. Also, the girls were taking care of it as if the toy was a baby, when it lights up in a certain color that means it is time to feed it, and when it is another color then it’s cuddle time.
ProHeat2X- is a vacuum but there were women only in the commercial.
Tide- it was directed towards women because there were to older women that were sitting on a couch folding the fresh laundry together. The only boy that was in the commercial was a toddler that was getting his clothes dirty.
Barbie- it was aimed towards girls.
Kindi Kids- Little dolls that have super long hair and you could see little girls playing with them. This advertisement was aimed towards girls.
Spirit Untamed- Horses with dolls and it was only little girls playing with them.
Were any commercials not gendered?
Baby Shark’s Big Show (Not gendered- it did not seem as if it was targeting a specific gender)
Paw Patrol- it was not directed to any gender specifically, there was equal representation for both genders.
The Adventures of Paddington- it was not aimed at any specific gender.
What techniques did the ads use to attract boys or girls?
The techniques the ads used to attract girls were the colors bright pink, purple, dolls, and other girls in the commercials
For boys it was cars, motorcycles and other little boys in the commercials.
In what ways do these commercials teach gendered behavior?
Some commercials that are aimed towards girls and subliminally give the message that women are to clean and do laundry for the rest of the house.
And other commercials subliminally give the message to boys to play with cars and motorcycles.

A Whole Bear World with Fartman
"BaeBae! BaeBae!" I chanted in Native American fashion as I playbeat Joebear's leg.
Joebear laughed and chanted along.
Kissy sounded like the broken toys that never worked. The broken toys were much like the people in our neighborhood. To go forward, they have go backwards and sideways and do the twist. They get bewildered when you say normal shit, but when you talk crazy, they seem normal. They seem so allergic to new knowledge and to half-bears half-humans.
They don't like computer science majors like Joebear or Albear. They start glitching and having panic attacks.
Joebear mauled me and gave me a hug. I began to rub his bear butt. All of a sudden, I felt his butt begin to break wind. He let out a fart that sounded like an angel's trumpet.
"Oh! My bowels are moving!" Joebear said as he ran into the bathroom and closed the door.
Preston Nichols, the scientist, then faded into existence. "That toilet seat costs $150. But, it honors his bear butt," he said super seriously before he burst into laughter.
His laughter is so contagious that I started to laugh.
When Joebear emerged from the bathroom, Preston Nichols then faded out of existence.
"You're an asshole," Joebear said super seriously before he burst into laughter.
I started laughing hysterically again. My sides were splitting. My belly all of a sudden became super pregnant from laughter and the presence of Joebear's sexy bear body.
--------------------------------------------------
I was on a hospital bed and contracting like crazy. Joebear, Albear, Fartman, Kissy, Garfield, and Tug were circled around me. The Chinese lady I met in the lab where we were first introduced to this mainframe was my nurse. I had learned that her name is Chung Ming.
After Chung Ming helped me birth my first cub, whom Joebear and I named Paddington Joe, Fartman fell asleep in a chair.
I fell asleep after Paddington Joe was washed and placed in my arms.
-----------------------------------------------------------------
Fartman was melting his computers and his cell phones with his toxic farts. "Goddamn computers! They don't work! I can't get access to my bank account what the fuck?" he screamed.
He threw his small, flip cell phone in the air and turned to fart on it. It disintregrated in thin air.
"I'm so pissed I'm going to fart on every goddamn computer there is on the Earth!" he screamed as he farted on his silver laptop. "Fuck you."
He farted on boom boxes that sang "I'm Gonna Be (500 miles)" by The Proclaimers.
In fact, I watched him fart on the Publix ATM machine with his to the beat of "I'm Gonna Be (500 miles)" by The Proclaimers. He also spoke in a Gaelic language as he farted on the ATM to submission. The ATM magically was restored to its former glory of being a new ATM machine.
"You needed a zero at the beginning of every account number this goddamn bank has!" Fartman screamed. "Sangeetha!!!"
"I'm Gonna Be (500 miles)" by The Proclaimers was playing in the background as Fartman was running around and farting on random ATM machines. He even farted on the parts of Peter's computer that flew outside of his house.
Apparently, Peter was beating his computer inside of his house this time. I wondered if Ted the Alligator was arguing with him again.
When Fartman returned home from farting on random ATM machines around the Southern United States, he came home and farted on the pieces of his new laptop computer.
"I'm Gonna Be (500 miles)" by The Proclaimers stopped playing in the background.
I cracked up, laid on the couch, and damn near had a coronary from laughing so hard yet again. I could also barely breathe from the noxious fumes from Fartman's ass.
"Fucking piece of shit. I just want to open up my computer and do a few things. I turn the damn fucking thing on, and three games and little gray creatures who drink Lysol pop up on my screen!" Fartman yelled a mighty Tarzan yell.
"Holy Shit not again! Donald Marshall talked about them when he exposed the cloning facilities!!!!" I shouted while getting in a fetal position and snickering.
"Oh God," he said. "Computers are getting worse and worse!!!!"
I laughed. He continued to fart on the laptop. "I have things to do. I don't have time to fuck with little gray creatures who drink Lysol," he said.
I'm Gonna Be (500 miles)" by The Proclaimers started playing in the background.
"Seriously. Get this goddamn fucking shit off my computer!" Fartman yelled as he farted on the laptop to submission in rhythm with "I'm Gonna Be (500 miles)" by The Proclaimers.
I'm Gonna Be (500 miles)" by The Proclaimers stopped playing in the background. Mickey Mouse appeared, and  the Pokemon battle theme song started playing.
"You fucking asshole!" Mickey Mouse screamed at Fartman.
"What the fuck?! Who manifested YOU?!" Fartman yelled.
"The little gray creatures in your computer that you broke!" Mickey Mouse yelled.
"Oh God get the fuck out of here!" Fartman yelled and sounded like George Carlin.
"Yeeeeessssssssssss!!!" Mickey Mouse sang before he vanished.
The Pokemon battle theme song stopped. I'm Gonna Be (500 miles)" by The Proclaimers started playing in the background again.
Fartman continued to fart on his cell phone. He pooped his pants.
-----------------------------------------------------------------
I was taking a dump in Fartman's bathroom and giving birth to yet another poop child. My butt was sore as I was pooping.
This poop child was the longest one yet. I decided to call him Artemis Peter because he was tall. He was my fifth poop child... and also the messiest. I used every rag in the house to clean up after myself.
-----------------------------------------------------------------
A TV popped out of Fartman's cabinet and showed this commercial:
Do you need to shave your beard?
Don't use your razor!
Use the Vaginasaurus Rex!
The commercial showed a mound with mock pubic hair on it. The mock pubic hair was full of tiny razor blades that looked like pubic hair. The vaginal lips were in the middle of the mound, and a handle could go in there as a guide for the razor.
The commercial showed the man shaving his beard and trimming his moustache with the Vaginasaurus Rex.
Fartman and I laughed our asses off while the commercial was playing.
"It will only cost you $19.99 plus handling if you order now by calling 1-800-VA6INA9," the commercial said.
The TV went back into his cabinet. Fartman called 1-800-VA6INA1 and reordered the Vaginasaurus Rex. He wore out his first one by shaving too much.
My phone rang. I went to see whom it was. It was Joebear.
"Hello BaeWhuhhhhhh!!!!" I yelled happily.
"Bae! I need to tell you something," he said.
"What, Buh?" I asked.
"The hunger games are here," he said.
"Excuse me. What?!" I asked.
"It's true. The price of housing is going up. Food costs have skyrocketed in the last seven years, and families are fighting each other to survive, Bae. Our former friends are zombies and ghouls," he said.
"Yes, Bae. And don't forget! The new world order is here. The banks are changing the numbers on the account. The people have no money. The banks have all the money," I added.
Joe was making all kinds of angry bear noises to prove a point.
"Damn, BooBoo. How did this happen?" I asked.
"It has been happening since before our grandparents were born," he answered.
"Damn, BaeBae. What shall we do?" I asked.
"I SHOULD EXPECT MY VAGINASAURUS REX NEXT WEEK!!!??? THANK YOU!" Fartman yelled excitedly.
I giggled. Fartman is a fucked-up human being.
"Finance an RV and live off the grid. Remember Zombieland," Joebear answered.
"Oh yes. We must rebel against apartment complex companies, banks, insurance companies, myspace.com, and the new world order," I said.
Fartman was now farting obnoxiously on the printer.
"Ugggghhhhhh!!! Can't have a conversation with THAT going on in the background!" Joebear shouted.
"I know, bae. Fartman is farting on his computer accessories again . I have to witness the never-ending farting," I said.
Joebear growled loudly. "That's fucked-up," he said.
"It is, but it's necessary," I said. "Computers are part of the new world order."
" Yes, BaeBae. Well, I won't keep you," Joebear said.
"Love you, Boo!!!" I yelled.
"Love you, Baelove!!!" Joebear yelled before growling.
I made dolphin noises in return.
We both hung up, and I witnessed Fartman shitting on the printer.
End music: "I'm Gonna Be (500 Miles)" by The Proclaimers.  End scene: Fartman walking backwards toward the camera endlessly while farting to the beat of the song.

Riverhills Brisbane belongs to the Centenary suburb. It is an excellent community because of the warm and welcoming environment. It is very relaxing with good vibes from the locals who are very friendly and easy-going. They are also very open-minded, so it’s not hard to make friends with them. Riverhills is one of the growing places in Brisbane, it's diverse, colourful, and super awesome. It also has an excellent value for a couple who are starting a family. The price of a home is lower than the median value of housing in Australia. After my husband bought our house in Riverhills, we moved. From five years ago, the house cost had increased, but still cheaper than in other cities.

Greater Brisbane’s 260 suburbs ranked for liveability
Why people choose one suburb over another is highly subjective: access to education, public transport, the coast and employment are often big factors. Across 17 indicators, 260 Greater Brisbane suburbs were ranked for the inaugural Domain Liveable Brisbane study, which has given us this list. Read more here.
I read from domain.com.au that Greater Brisbane’s 260 suburbs ranked for liveability. Why people choose a specific city over others is very subjective. The reasons behind include public transport, access to education, employment, and many others. There are 17 indicators, 260 suburbs in Brisbane ranked for the inaugural Domain Liveable Brisbane study. No. 1 is Alderley, followed by Wilston, then Ascot, Paddington, and Newmarket are the top five. If I were to buy another property, I would probably buy from one of these Brisbane’s suburbs. I would prefer Alderley because it ranks first. I like this leafy suburb which is just about 7 km away from Brisbane’s CBD.

CERAMICS
Ceramics 2022 with Gerry Wedd, William Eicholtz, Bern Emmerichs, Bill Blampied & Geoff Mitchell
Maunsell Wicks Gallery, Paddington. 16 Aug 2022 - 28 Aug 2022

What I connect with…
It’s so lovely seeing an exhibition focused on Australian ceramics. Ceramics 2022 brings together five artists represented by Maunsell Wicks. With the exception of William Eicholtz, each artist treats the ceramic medium as a surface to paint on, with the works easily imagined on paper or canvas.
Gerry Wedd’s intricate line work is highly conceptual referencing back to a myriad of influences ranging from Ancient Greek & Roman pottery motifs, religious art, Edo Japan woodblock prints, early colonial Australia, to contemporary consumerist brands, and sporting celebrities, all while dancing over a variety forms. Each of Wedd’s artworks find a unique and appropriate form to match the content; from vessels, plates, and the iconically Australian rubber thong. It’s easy to draw comparisons to U.K. ceramicist Greyson Perry for Wedd’s approach in using traditional forms loaded with contemporary subject matter, especially the bright canary yellow works with delft blue and white details; this comparison may seem like a lazy link to make especially when discussing ceramic artists, however both seem to take joy in the shock value of crude or controversial subject matter on the surface of their alluring pots.
Another artist in the exhibition, Bill Blampied, also uses shock value but works in a much more reduced aesthetic, with artworks that seem to be less about the medium and more about the concept. Blampied’s white plates and slip cast commercial cleaning vessel forms, have minimalist line work reminiscent of highly stylised logos, or info graphics, and often include typography of high-end brand names, disparaging sentences, or ironic slang. The body of work Blampied has presented in this exhibition seem to be about the shallowness of hedonistic consumerist culture, memento mori, crippling anxiety, and self-medication, while playing with the dichotomy of a low-brow or unheroic subject matter on an expensive and permanent medium.
An absolute standout in this show is the work by Melbourne artist Bern Emmerichs. It’s been wonderful watching the work of this talented artist develop over many years, with this collection such a masterful display of technique, which provides the framework for the artists strong point of view concerning issues of colonial settlement, First Nations people, and gendered work. Like many ceramic artists who are primarily concerned with surface instead of form, such as fellow Maunsell Wicks artist Geoff Mitchell, or even the celebrated Stephen Bowers, it seems Emmerichs uses commercially available ceramic blanks as a starting point; the upside to this is consistency, especially with plates, with little to no warping which is common to the ceramic slab making process. This technique has allowed Emmerichs to work on quite large tiles, with complex compositions in many colours. In addition to these significant pieces, there are many smaller works that carry ideas, flowing freely across the body of work, like little pieces of a jigsaw puzzle that help give the viewer clues when viewed in its totality.
Finally, William Eicholtz is such a breath of fresh air for this exhibition. Eicholtz’s works celebrates the medium of ceramics, successfully playing with an exploration of glazes, textured surface, and dynamic forms. There is an element of nostalgia to the artists work, with the marine themes verging on generic bathroom decor kitsch, however, elevating the subject while speaking in this familiar visual language. Eicholtz’s artworks are clearly not from the Rococo period, but play in this asymmetrical world of serpentine splendour, with pearl, and oyster glaze finishes that should be wrong, but seem to work so well, almost inviting the viewer to fill his oversized shells with bath salts and design an opulent bathroom around them.
Ceramics 2022 is on at Maunsell Wicks Galley in Paddington, Sydney until August 28, 2022.

There’s nothing that sparks more passionate discussion on our social media feeds, than the subject of mid century architecture under threat of demolition.
But even if you love mid century design, and find yourself the lucky owner of a home of this era, there’s still the challenge of making these homes functional and comfortable for modern family life. For instance – where do you put a dishwasher in a 1950s kitchen? And – how do you furnish a family living room with walls of glass, lower ceilings and a significantly smaller footprint than most modern living spaces?
For interior designer Suzanne Gorman of Studio Gorman, it’s all about looking and listening closely to the existing site – and thinking very carefully about scale. Especially when it comes to selecting furniture!  ‘Scale of furniture is important to get right in the typically lower ceiling height and tighter spaces of mid-century architecture’ says Suzanne. Enter DOMO, whose wide range of contemporary designer furniture and lighting covers an incredible variety of classic and modern styles, for both indoor and outdoor spaces.
Studio Gorman’s Quarterdeck House project draws on the existing mid century character of the original home, incorporating whitewashed walls, oak joinery and a palette of rust, teal and ochre. These details form the perfect backdrop for a considered edit of furniture and lighting, selected in collaboration with stylist Claire Delmar – including the sleek leather Jules sofa by French furniture brand Duvivier, from DOMO.
‘These Duvivier pieces are light in visual feel, whilst the upholstery is warm and luxurious to relax in’ says Suzanne. ‘Their shapes are like minded to the building – calm and light structured.’
With a 180 year history, Duvivier draws on traditional French craftsmanship, having originally evolved from a heritage leather saddlery business! Carefully balancing classic silhouettes with contemporary style, these handcrafted furniture pieces are sleek yet robust – perfect in any space where you want comfort and longevity, without the chunk-factor! They’re available in traditional leather, or custom fabrics.
Hi Suzanne! Can you tell is a little about your background – how did you come into interior design, and how would you describe your design approach?
I came to design in my early 40s, after a fabulous decade as a Kindergarten teacher, followed by several fun and free years as a full-time mum to our three kids (now all young adults). I’ll be forever grateful to my sister who encouraged me to re-train in design, since I was always sketching and literally obsessed by everything design and architecture (still am). She showed some of my drawings to her friend Rachel Castle, who was a true support and inspiration in the early years of my new design career, finding me my first few clients. That was 12 years ago, and I haven’t looked back.
Studio Gorman specialises in creating beautiful homes where family memories are made and where childhood is nourished – we bring a deep understanding of the kind of spaces that families find comfort in, and can play out their lives.
We have a love of various aesthetics, but mostly based around a contemporary clean feel.  Our influences include art (an addiction!), fashion, architecture and travel – vicariously through print publications and blogs we devour! European and East Coast American styles inspire our work although Studio Gorman will always be essentially Australian in flavour.
Your recent work at the Quarterdeck House perfectly illustrates how to sensitively modernise a mid-century home. Tell us – how did you approach this project? What were your key goals and considerations for this home?
Looking, listening to site and to our wonderful clients brief. The serene location spoke volumes about the incredible lifestyle to be enhanced here, and the building spoke of the pure tenets of mid-century design philosophy.
The concept of form and function in mid-century architecture leads the way for a response to the interiors. Full height glass panels created a portal to the view, to the gentle beauty of the environment. Our job to was support that, in a response to our clients brief.
We were committed to keeping the original façade, preserving and respecting the streetscape where there are several other neighbouring mid-century homes. We were fortunate that the client was open to these considerations – we agreed to no broad sweeping demolition of the original features, and to taking a gently, gently approach. We carried this intention inside where we reworked the floorplan keeping original elements such as the painted brick walls, internal white-painted steel posts, and original doors and windows.
The bones of a mid-century home are important to hold onto – the architectural style will be diluted otherwise. On this basis, our design concepts and details were driven by materiality – sourcing materials and fixtures that aligned with the mid-century aesthetic was our mission! We whitewashed walls, reintroduced square format mosaic tiles, added simple white door hardware and fittings, washed oak joinery with its uniform grain sitting quietly in the form. Our use of colour took the distinctive mid-century punches of primary colour, and subtly reworked them as contemporary iterations of rust, teal and ochre.
In collaboration with stylist Claire Delmar, you selected key leather furniture pieces from Duvivier (exclusive to DOMO) to furnish Quarterdeck House – tell us why these pieces were selected / why do they work so well in this space?
Firstly, thanks for saying that! We think they work beautifully too, and love working with Claire any time we can. The living room has so much glass, it was important to bring in some comfort and softness. These Duvivier pieces are light in visual feel, whilst the upholstery is warm and luxurious to relax in. Their shapes are like minded to the building – calm and light structured, whilst providing comfort. And we love them!
What’s your advice for modernising a mid-century interior? What should homeowners consider before embarking on a renovation of a 1950s or 60’s home?
Being respectful to the philosophy of mid-century is integral – that’s got to be the starting point. It’s a great shame when people buy mid-century homes with no intention to love and nurture the unique architecture.
Our starting point would be to ask our homeowners to work out what they really love about their mid-century home, and what they might feel they are possibly missing out on with it, also. The small scale of mid-century homes can be challenging to contemporary living. Take time with the floor plan and be willing to tweak the layout to work around keeping original features. These original features convey the language of mid-century and once gone, the authentic feeling of the era and cannot be replicated.
And what about furniture selections for a mid-century home – where to start? Should mid-century homes always contain classic mid-century furniture and design? Or is there scope for combining modern pieces with classic design pieces, under one roof?
Scale of furniture is important to get right in the typically lower ceiling height and tighter spaces of mid-century architecture. Sensitivity to the internal spaces and finishes, whilst incorporating our client’s needs is where we are at.
Our approach would be to incorporate contemporary furniture to avoid a ‘museum’ feel, and to create a relaxed, luxurious and comfortable home. There is definitely scope to combine modern pieces with authentic mid-century… a lot of modern design has its roots in mid-century as a design base, so it certainly can work if curated with a light touch. Artworks and sculptures are a beautiful addition too, as it was and still is considered an important inclusion right alongside the architecture and furniture design.
What’s next for Studio Gorman?
Great question ….. we are working on a fantastic and diverse portfolio of projects this year, have enlarged our team and have moved offices to Paddington and its only March !
