The Coronavirus Pandemic Globally
Tumblr media
Coronavirus Pandemic: The pandemic has sent a shock wave globally. There is no way anyone could ever imagine a pandemic of this magnitude happening. As we all know, this virus has managed to literally “STOP” life. There are no definite reasons for the cause of this virus taking over the world. Human beings had started taking life very lightly and did not show any care or concern for nature. Nature was taken for granted. This is one major reason for this happening.
Coronavirus all over the world
It is too late to realize the impact of our negligence. The coronavirus all over the world has led to a huge loss to human life. No one was prepared for a pandemic of this magnitude. The global health systems were not at all prepared and that is the reason you found these collapsing in many places. No one was spared; the richest and the most powerful countries were ‘down’ with a jolt. You found the economy going for a toss. The common man was left wondering, “What next?” There was no pause button for this virus and it seemed to spread unbridled. There has been a lot of confusion as the political leaders, the medical fraternity and more are struggling even now, to contain this virus. Dealing with this virus has been tough as this was a new virus and no one knew how this can behave. The world went on for lockdowns and people were asked to stay home, not interact with anyone and also ensure masking and social distancing. Washing hands seemed to be one of the saviors from this virus. You can advice and pass rules but you cannot ‘force’ people to follow this. Some people called this a hoax, some spread rumors of the government trying to take over freedom and more. In short, there was a lot of opposition and not all followed the simple rules and regulations. The consequences were drastic. There was disaster all around. People were scrambling to find beds in the hospitals, looking for medical oxygen and ventilators. The elderly were most vulnerable, along with those who suffered from co morbidities. Life seemed to be a total mess. There was no escape. The first wave seemed to have peaked and gone. The human race never seems to learn from their mistakes. When things were a little normal, you found people getting careless and, once again, taking the virus lightly. Here, we have the second wave, which is definitely worse as compared to the first one. Research and studies have proved that the virus is spreading faster and has gone astray.
Coronavirus Antibodies
There is a lot of confusion as to whether those who have recovered from the virus have antibodies or no? If they do have then how long ill these last? Studies and research has proved that not all those who recover from this virus make coronavirus antibodies on a high level. There are few who do not make any antibodies at all. The studies have also proved that some, who might make antibodies, might not make the right ones.

Coronavirus in America
In the initial stages America was the worst hit country. Hospitals seem to be over-flowing with patients and you could see a number of people struggling to survive. It seemed that the Trump administration was a total failure in managing this health crisis. With Joe Biden taking over from Trump, things seem to be a little better. He has invested huge sum for fighting this virus and the variants. He has also announced that 90% of the American citizens are now eligible for the vaccination.

Coronavirus Australia
From 3rd of January 2020 to the 21st April 2021, Australia has seen 29,559 confirmed cases with 910 deaths of the COVID-19. This has been reported by WHO. 1,496,608 vaccine doses have been administered as on 16th April 2021. Australia is quite firm about not re- opening international borders and risk the lifestyle of the country which is nearly free of corona. This was stated by the Prime Minister, Scott Morrison. Australia had closed its borders to all non-residents and non-citizens on March 2020. It has been permitting international arrivals in a limited manner, mainly the Citizens returning from abroad. Snap lockdowns, border closing, contact tracing in a swift manner and compliance with the health measures has helped Australia in curbing the pandemic in one of the most successful manner.

Coronavirus Active Cases in India
In this second wave of the COVID-19 pandemic, India has witnessed twice the number of active cases as compared to the 2020’s. At present the number of active cases are 21,57000 and this is quite a big number. This second wave of the virus in India is considered to be more virulent. On Wednesday, India witnessed a jump of almost 295, 041 cases and a lousy 2,023 deaths.  These numbers indicate a mutation of the virus and also the carelessness of the people.
Tumblr media
Coronavirus Aurangabad
According to the media, Aurangabad has witnessed a drop in cases between the 13th of April and the 17th of April 2021. The cases have come down from 813 to 618 in five day’s time. The authorities have attributed this decline in the fresh cases to the ongoing vaccination drive in India. There were 5000 to 6000 beneficiaries getting vaccinated on a daily basis. Around 1.5 lakh citizens have been vaccinated till now.
Tumblr media
Coronavirus Assam
Coronavirus Assam has declared a fresh set of curbs due to the rise in the coronavirus cases as on 21st April 2021. The Bihu functions will not be affected, but there will be a cap of 50% on the capacity of the venue. Assam has also imposed fresh restrictions in public transport, gatherings, and markets and ordered the markets to shut down early. According to the government, fresh restrictions might be imposed after the situation is reviewed in 3 to 4 days.
Tumblr media
Coronavirus Amravati
Members of the task force of Maharashtra, in a meeting with the CM Udhav Thackeray, cited the model of Amravati for advocating a lockdown to break the chain of the corona virus. Amravati had witnessed a sharp rise in the coronavirus cases in the 1st week of February. The recovery rate rose to 91% from a mere 79% after the imposed lockdown. A weekend lockdown was imposed first on the 18th of February 2021. After which, a complete lockdown was imposed between the 22nd February 2021 and 28th February 2021 as there was no improvements. This was extended till 8th of March 2021.
Tumblr media
Coronavirus Pune
Pune has been one of the worst affected states in Maharashtra, but has seen a rise in the recoveries. Most of the deaths reported from here were of people between the ages of 60 and 70. A mere 6% of this population, between 60 years and 70 years has received their vaccination. As on Wednesday, Pune recorded more than 10,000 cases. At present, this city has 1120,000 cases. Pune has a population of more than 1 million in the age group 60 to 70 years. The medical infrastructure in Pune continued to be stressed as the small hospitals stopped taking any new patients. The relatives were asked to approach multi-speciality hospitals for the coronavirus patients.
Tumblr media
Coronavirus Mumbai
As known, Maharashtra is one state that is number one in the number of coronavirus patients; Mumbai tops the number of cases. With a rise in the number of active cases, the whole of Maharashtra is in a lockdown type situation with extremely stringent norms. Almost 80% of the health machinery is being used and there is no further scope of taking the burden of this virus. The State Health Minister, Rajesh Tope, announced that everyting will be shut down except the essential commodities and public transport. Though this is not termed as a ‘lockdown’, the state is terming this as a ‘break chain initiative’.
Tumblr media
Coronavirus Airborne
Initially, WHO did not declare this pandemic as airborne. The restrictions were limited to wearing masks, keeping social distance and washing your hands as frequently as possible. With the passing of time and ongoing studies of this virus, it has now been stated that the coronavirus is airborne. This means, the aerosols can lay suspended in the air for some time. You need more protection and double masking is now important. An airborne disease, according to the World Health Organization (WHO) is that which spreads through aerosols. As this virus is spreading on a large scale it is important to ensure that you strictly follow the norms set by the WHO. Simple rules like wearing a mask, social distancing and washing your hands frequently can go a long way in helping to control this pandemic. There are many reasons for the pandemic spreading, but it is important that each individual is responsible and follows the guidelines set by their respective government. Avoid the 3C’s: close contact, closed areas and crowded places. These are difficult times and each one of us should be responsible so that you can save the humanity.

Prevention | 7 Steps How to Avoid the Coronavirus?
Tumblr media
1. WASH YOUR HANDS FREQUENTLY:
Wash your hands with soap and running water frequently. And use an alcohol-based hand soap. Because virus is killed by washing hands with alcohol based soap and water, if it is on your hand. Wash your hands: When hands are visible dirty. After coughing and sneezing. When caring for the sicks. Before, after and during preparing food. Before eating. After using toilet. After handing animals or animal waste.
2. AVOID CLOSE CONTACT:
Avoid close contact when you are suffering from fever and cough. And distance yourself 1 meter (3 feet) from those who are sneezing, coughing and suffering from fever. Because small virus containing droplets are projected by people who are infected with respiratory diseases, like 2019-nCoV. You can breathe in the virus if you are too close to these people.
3. SEEK MEDICAL CARE EARLIER:
If you have fever, cough and difficulty in breathing, contact a doctor immediately. Tell your doctor if you have recently traveled to China or if you have meet someone who has been there lately and has respiratory symptoms. Because fever with cough and sneezing are it's symptoms. And if you have mild respiratory symptoms and no travel history to China, carefully practice basic respiratory and hand hygiene and stay home until you are fully recovered.
4. COVER MOUTH AND NOSE:
While sneezing and coughing, cover your mouth and nose with flexed elbow or tissue. And throw it immediately into nearby bin, after use. Avoid Spitting in public.
5. AVOID TOUCHING EYES MOUTH AND NOSE WITH UNCLEAN HANDS:
Avoid touching eyes, mouth and nose with unclean hands, because many virus contaminated surfaces are touched by your hands. And by touching eyes, nose and mouth with these contaminated hands, virus can be transferred from surface to you.
6. WEAR PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT:
Wear protective gowns, gloves and facial protection while handling animals and animal products. Remove protective clothes after work and wash them daily.
7. PRACTICE FOOD SAFETY:
Use different chopping boards and knives for raw meat and cooked foods. Wash hands between handling raw and cooked food. Sick animals and animals that have died of diseases should not be sold in markets and eaten. Read More: Coronavirus - World Health Organization Read the full article

What Is a Coronavirus 2020? - Science Review
Tumblr media
Corona-viruses are a large family of viruses that cause not only the common cold but also more serious respiratory diseases. According to the WHO, corona-viruses are a virus family which is responsible from common cold to many fatal diseases like SARS and Middle East respiratory syndrome MERS.
WHERE DID THE VIRUS ORIGINATED:
The name Corona-virus comes from a Latin word Corona, meaning Crown or Halo. Under an electron microscope,
Tumblr media
the image of the virus is reminiscent of a solar corona. Chinese authorities are still trying to determine the origin of the virus, which they say likely came from a seafood market in Wuhan where wildlife was also traded illegally. These viruses were originally transmitted between animals and humans. SARS, for example; it was believed to have been transmitted from civet cuts to humans while MERS traveled from a type of Camel to humans. Corona-virus are circulating in animals that have not infected human yet. The WHO also says an animal source appears most likely to the primary source of the outbreak. On February 2, officials in Hubie said the virus had a 96 percent concordance with an already-known bat-borne corona-virus. Snakes are mentioned as a possible source too, by scientists. A novel corona-virus (2019-nCOV) was identified as a source of the illness on January 7, with the infection traced to a Wuhan seafood market that also sold live animals.
HOW DEADLY IS IT?
According to some experts, it may not be as deadly as other types of corona-virus such as SARS, by which nearly 800 people were killed worldwide, more than 300 in China alone -- during a 2002-2003 outbreak that also originated in China. MERS, which did not spread as widely, was more deadly, killed one-third of those it infected.
WHERE HAVE CASES BEEN REPORTED:
Most of the cases and deaths are been reported in China - the vast majority in Hubie Province. So far, the Philippines is the only country that has reported a death from a new virus outside of China - tha mainland. The virus has spread to many Asian countries, as well as Australia, Europe, North America and the Middle East. Nearly all of the cases outside China are among people who recently traveled China.
WHAT ARE THE SYMPTOMS:
According to WHO signs of infection includes fever, cough, shortness of breath and difficulty in breathing. In more serious cases it can also lead to Pneumonia, SARS, Kidney failure and even death. The incubation period of the Corona-virus is still unknown, but according to some sources, it could be between 10 and 14 days.
EFFORTS OF SCIENTISTS AND PEOPLE TO STOP THIS VIRUS FROM SPREADING:
Scientist are working on a vaccine but have warned one is likely to be available for mass distribution before 2021. Wuhan is sealed off by Chinese authorities, and have placed restrictions on travel to and from several other cities, affecting some 56 million people. Many airlines have cancelled flights China, while some countries have banned Chinese nationals from entering and have evacuated their citizens from Wuhan.
IS THIS A GLOBAL EMERGENCY:
The outbreak constitutes a global health emergency, the WHO said. The decision to sound the top-level alarm was made after the first cases human-to-human transmission outside China were confirmed. The international health alter is a call on coordination their response under the guidance of United Nations health agency. Read More: What Is a Coronavirus? - ScienceAlert Read the full article
