The Evangelicals Calling for War on Poor People | The New Republic

Evangelical Christians cashing in their faith in Jesus Christ in pursuit of worldly riches. These 'Christians' embrace the 'prosperity gospel' and ignore the teachings of Jesus.

They degrade and weaponize the church by incorporating extreme right wing Republican political tenets that dehumanize and demonize the poor.

The poor need to pull themselves up by their bootstraps - without any help from the Prosperous Evangelical 'Christians'.

What's next? Unwanted children who live in poverty and neglect? They've already accomplished that goal.

Evangelicals were once those who asked "What would Jesus do?"

Now it's "What would Almighty $$$$ do?"
