I fucking hate Destiny 2, it's my favorite game
#this feels especially relevant nowadays lolol#i'm not gonna say the game has problems#it certainly does#and they may or may not be addressed#but I'm still having fun lmao#people are suddenly upset that they no linger have a reason to log on literally every fuckin day like#idk man maybe y'all should just take a break if you feel burned out lol#dry seasons happen in MMOs it's not the end of the fuckin world#at least my perception isn't being skewed by people who literally play the game as a fuckin job#this season was no different than the last one in terms of quality if you really think about it lmao#next season might be better cuz it's the leadup to an expansion#but I ain't holdin my breath#very excited for the new Ranked mode tho#gonna grind the hell out of that#gonna be a miracle if I even make it through Gold next season lol#kinda miffed that there are no cosmetic rewards at launch#like maybe a memento for Crafted weapons that changes appearance based on ur competitive rank#still gonna play it tho lol#they said we gotta wait till lightfall so I'll wait#destiny 2#sick and tired of having to justify that I'm having fun with the game#yes it does not have literally anything and everything I would want from an FPS but like#it's a multiplayer game meant to be accessible for everyone I can't reasonably expect it to scratch every itch#just you fuckin wait all these people canceling pre orders and talkin shit will come RUNNING back the moment that season 19 trailer drops#side note this is why you should rarely if ever pre order lmao#do not ever spend money on something that does not yet exist#there is never a guarantee it will be what you think is worth that money#even if the seller is relatively reputable#aight I just realized I fucked up the second tag#meant to say 'I'm not gonna say the game has no problems'

People on twitter can really be out of their minds sometimes because I genuinely remember someone made a post comparing genshin impact to league of legends and which one is better like................................ those games are fundamentally different??? Unless you’re comparing character and world designs or whatever, there is no way to compare two games that are completely different in mechanics and type
Like one of them is a gacha team combat game that has an ongoing storyline and requires money to unlock characters and the other is an online moba that has no playable storyline with additional paid cosmetics. You can literally just say “I enjoy this game more personally” without doing the dumbest reaches in history -_-
#like i remember someone i know compared. anniversary rewards for both games and like....... bro........ its obvious that the gacha game wil-#-l have more shit going on these games are 90% of the time pay to win and give out special rewards for their f2p players#moba games are. moba games. theyll give you some cosmetics and go which is fair because you have no need to pay any money in those-#-for core gameplay mechanics. you can additionally buy skins but its not like they lock yasuo behind a 100 dollar paywall to play him#idk its just. it still bugs me because these two games are completely different#and people cant just suck it up and say 'i like this more than the other' and need a 10 mile long list com#-paring the two when they have. little to no relation#sorry this isnt really a rant im just#i want to dissect these people and look into their brains to find out how they can do reaches like that#🥀 txt

Exactly! It just feels like they did just above the minimum to make the DLC functional, but just couldn’t be bothered to better integrate the new mechanics into the main game. It’s just that the new stuff isn’t unique enough to justify it being left out of the core game.
Like, I get that contextually it doesn’t make sense to freely customize the room sizes on the mainland because that’s what we were paying Tom Nook millions of bells to do, but even the option to buy bigger room sizes would have been better than nothing. Like, Tom Nook can invest millions of bells into hammerspace, but not a physically bigger room?
#animal crossing#acnh#gbunny plays#like it's hard to say how much of this is due to nintendo not investing resources#and how much is damage control#if those features were locked behind a paywall#there would be several articles about how scummy it would be#so instead the paywall stuff is all cosmetic: stuff you can live without#which makes it non-essential and thus feels better to everyone who can't/doesn't want the dlc#but disappointing to some folks that did get it#which is why i suggested making it more 'gamey'#the ideal paid dlc for me#is just more game to play#and technically this has this#but it's unsatisfying#if the gameplay can't be satisfying then let the rewards be worth it#but the rewards are so lackiluster#the bulk of this dlc is just easier access to more items#you get more access to the new materials#you get more diy#you get more clothes#you get more bells#you get more furniture#you even get more turnips#but i don't think that's enough justification for the dlc to exist#in its current state#and since we're not getting any more major content updates#this is it.#this the best we're gonna get

Saw someone on the wow forums say they got declined from a high-level m+ dungeon (a +20? I think?) simply because they didn’t have the original werebear form… like what the hell
#see this is why making those mage tower appearances limited time is a bad thing#actually I’ve seen people actually say that if they see a Druid in werebear form. that they think they make Better tanks#that’s fucked up actually#just because someone got a challenging reward 7 years ago doesn’t mean they’re still good at the game#in fact a lot of people got help from friends or got the welfare gear from Antorus in 8.3??#and managed to get some appearances in a few tries#but you just don’t know who.#kinda sad that WoW players judge a players skill based on what limited time challenging cosmetics they have#pretty darn sad actually
