i've said stuff like thsi before but somwthing i adore about the warioware series is how it is so packed with supplementary material that fleshes out the world and its characters despite not "needing" to do any of that. A collectiin of 2-second microgames doesnt technicallg "need" to have an entire posse of unique character designs and stories with in-character flavor text on everything and the ability to listen to their favorite music, and it doesnt technically need to have a section of pretend online forums with its own authentic forum ecosystem, but by god it has it and it has it in such excruciating detail that it feels like there is love put into every stitch. I can literally read orbulons diary online. Thats frekaing crazy. I wish every piece of media cared as much about its characters as much as warioware does
