Dambulla Royal Cave:
The Dambulla Royal Cave, also known as the Dambulla Cave Temple, is a UNESCO World Heritage Site located in Sri Lanka. It comprises a series of cave temples carved into a massive rock formation, dating back to the 1st century BCE. These caves showcase intricate statues and colorful frescoes depicting various aspects of Buddhist mythology and history. The site holds significant religious importance for Buddhists and attracts numerous visitors each year who come to admire its architectural beauty and spiritual ambiance.
Tumblr media
Whilst this is a very history rich temple it doesn't fit the requirements I have for how the buildings and Temples should look. I also do not want anything to be inside of a cave, well at least not a main temple. For these reasons I will not be using this for my second world inspiration. I do still think it looks pretty cool though.
