विश्व बैंक भारत में डेटा से परिपूर्ण नीतियों की महत्वपूर्णता

विश्व बैंक के मुख्य अर्थशास्त्री इंदरमीत गिल ने कहा, 'भारत जैसे मध्यम आय वाले देशों में डेटा भरोसेमंद होने चाहिए। ऐसे आंकड़ों पर आधारित नीतियों की मदद से ही अगले 3-4 दशकों में भारत उच्च आय वाले देशों की श्रेणी में शामिल हो सकता है। गिल ने कहा कि विश्वसनीय आंकड़ों के आधार पर नीतियां नहीं बनाने पर सतत विकास हासिल करना कठिन हो जाएगा।'
