Advantages & Disadvantages of Laser hair Removal in Delhi
The hair removal is not a current fashion. Already in Ancient Egypt, women used to depilate their entire body (including intimate areas), considering that the hair-free body was a beauty canon, and for this they resorted to a paste made with sugar, water and lemon, or composed of oil and honey, similar to the wax we now use to pluck.
A few years ago, getting rid of the unwanted hair permanently was only a dream, and it was essential to resort regularly to methods such as wax and blade to have a smooth and attractive skin. But these methods, although they are still used because they are cheap and simple, have their drawbacks. The blade should be used daily because the hair grows very fast and, in the case of the wax, although when the root hair is removed, its appearance is delayed, it is necessary that it reaches a minimum length to be able to eliminate it. Some people have an additional problem and that is that their skin gets irritated when they are waxed like this, and they have to choose between showing their hair or having their skin full of redness, grains, hairs embodied.
In these cases, the solution may be to opt for laser hair removal in Delhi, a technology that was perfected in the eighties and has been used for more than ten years, and which means being able to forget about hair for long periods of time.
Tumblr media
The objective of this technique is to damage the cells that generate the hair and, in this way, delay follicular growth. However, if what you want is to definitively eliminate the hair, experts dermatologist in Delhi in laser hair removal will explain the real expectations to achieve it, since it will depend on hormonal factors, the age of the patient, the degree of pigmentation of the hair, the area to be treated.
Advantages and disadvantages of laser hair removal
The advantages of laser hair removal treatment in Delhi are undoubted, as it is a fast and safe method, which keeps the skin free of hair for a long time (in many cases definitively), and allows to depilate large areas.
In addition, it also has medical applications, and patients with pathologies such as pseudo folliculitis or hirsutism, or those who needed to remove skin grafts, have benefited from this technique.
However, we must not lose sight of the fact that laser hair removal has some drawbacks:
Inconvenience
When you apply the laser, it is normal to feel a burning or stinging sensation that, during the first two or three sessions (when the hair is still abundant), is usually quite annoying, especially if you are shaving an area where the skin is especially sensitive. The refrigeration systems that incorporate some equipment reduce the pain quite a lot and, from the fourth session, the light punctures are perfectly tolerable. In any case, pulling the hair with wax is not pleasant either, and laser hair removal in Dwarka has the advantage that the growth of the hair is delayed a lot and the sessions are increasingly spaced.
You can consult the skin specialist in Delhi the possibility of using an anaesthetic cream if the area to be treated is very sensitive or has a high follicular density, but it is quite cumbersome to use because you should apply it about an hour before the session and cover the area with a plastic. As with other aesthetic treatments, laser hair removal in Janakpuri continues to evolve, and for the last few years a new laser has been available, the Vectus ™, which, in addition to being more effective for its ability to eliminate more hair per session - It makes it ideal for large areas such as the legs-, it is practically painless because it applies the energy in a homogeneous way avoiding annoying peaks of heat.
Rebel areas
It is important to highlight, however, that there are areas where the hair tends to reappear insistently, as occurs with the facial area. We have already explained that this is because during the session the active hairs are removed, but the laser does not affect the hair follicles at rest, which can be activated over time. Even so, getting rid of excess facial hair by laser is still convenient, since the new hairs would come out equally with any other depilatory method, or even if none were used.
Rebel areas of laser hair removal
In the facial area the hair tends to reappear with greater insistence.
Androgens or related hormones also stimulate hair growth, both in males as they mature (thorax, abdomen, back, lower back), and in certain women suffering from hormonal disorders (such as hyperandrogenism) and, in those cases, Patients will require refresher sessions over time to eliminate new hairs.
Grey hair and fine hair
The laser does not eliminate grey hair, nor fine and light hair. Fine hair (the most common on women's faces), does not absorb the light emitted by the laser, even if it is something dark, and therefore the skin specialist in Dwarka must assess the characteristics of the patient's skin to see if it is It is possible to use the laser to depilate this type of hair in your specific case.
Dark skins
Although there are laser equipments that can be used with relative safety on dark skin, the patient must be previously evaluated by a dermatologist in Dwarka. In addition, the procedure may be less effective and more annoying.
In pregnancy
During pregnancy it is contraindicated to perform laser hair removal in areas close to the abdominal and pelvic region, to avoid any possible damage to the placenta or the foetus. In the case of areas far from the foetus, the pregnant woman should consult her doctor beforehand, or suspend the treatment until after the birth.
Photosensitivity
If you are taking any type of medication you should warn the doctor to check if the drugs produce photosensitivity, as is the case with isotretinoin. You should also notify if you are diagnosed with a new pathology or if you are prescribed a new medication before submitting to a new session of laser hair removal in Delhi in case any interaction could occur.
Although the risk is minimal if the hair removal is performed by a qualified dermatologist in Delhi with the prior assessment, it can happen that the melanin of the patient's skin absorbs part of the light energy destined for the hair follicle and, as a consequence, the skin overheating and significant irritation or even a burn.
Therefore, it is essential that you follow the recommendations of the skin specialist in Delhi and do not expose the skin to the sun or apply self-tanning before the sessions, and, depending on your skin photo type, this minimum time free of sun exposure can be even two months (in reality, the more, the better).
To reduce the risk of skin overheating, the equipment has a built-in cooling system.

Skin Specialist In Janakpuri Provides Treatment for Androgenetic Alopecia (Pattern Hair Loss)
What is an androgenetic alopecia?
Androgenetic alopecia is the most common type of progressive hair loss. It is also known as male-pattern baldness, female-pattern baldness, or just common baldness. It affects about 50% of men over the age of 50, and about 50% of women over the age of 65.
Tumblr media
What causes androgenetic alopecia?
Androgenetic alopecia is caused by a genetically determined sensitivity to the effects of dihydrotestosterone (DHT) in some areas of the scalp. DHT shortens the growth (anagen), phase of the hair cycle, from a usual duration of 3–6 years to just weeks or months. The hairs produced by the follicles become progressively shorter in length, smaller in diameterand lighter in color; until eventually the follicles shrink completely and stop producing hair.
Is androgenetic alopecia hereditary?
Yes, genetic susceptibility to this condition can be inherited from either or both parents.Several genes are involved, accounting for differing age of onset, progression, pattern and severity of hair loss in family members.
What does androgenetic alopecia look like?
It is characterized by receding hairline and hair loss on the top and front of the head in males. Female pattern hair loss presents with thinning hair on the mid-frontal area of the scalp, with nearly complete preservation of the frontal hairline.
What treatment options are available for male pattern hair loss?Current treatment options include:
Hair transplantation
Cosmetic camouflage-hair fiber
Micropigmentation (tattoo) to resemble shaven scalp
Hairpieces/Wigs
Minoxidil solution
Finasteride tablets (type II 5-alpha-reductase inhibitor)
Platelet rich plasma therapy
Low level laser light
Ketoconazole shampoo
Is hair loss just a cosmetic issue?
Hair loss can have a negative psychological impact and is associated with low self-esteem, depression, introversion, and feelings of unattractiveness.
Cover any bald patches with a hat or wig to protect to prevent sunburn and to reduce the chances of developing long-term sun damage.

Safe Technologies Used To Treat Stretch Marks
Tumblr media
\Stretch marks (striae) are long, thin white stripes on the skin that are caused by pregnancy, sudden weight gain or loss, and growth spurts during puberty. Rapid and excessive stretching of the skin leaves it no time to adjust and repair, leading to the breakdown of collagen fibers.
Safe Technologies Used To Treat Stretch Marks
Various treatment modalities are available that can reduce the appearance of stretch marks on the body. Unfortunately, no oral pills or topical OTC (over the counter) creams work satisfactorily on stretch marks.
Micro Needling Radio Frequency (Endymed Intensif)
This procedure uses tiny needles to create microscopic injuries in the skin, allowing new collagen formation (COLLAGEN INDUCTION THERAPY). New collagen formation leads to shrinkage and tightening of skin, reducing the appearance of the stretch marks.
Fractional Ablative Co2 Laser (Futura Rf 50)
Fractional CO2 laser delivers tiny pinpoints of laser light to the affected area on the skin in a net like distribution. The laser beams penetrate the skin and create micro wounds which kick-start the healing process by producing new collagen. This provides new strength to the skin and leads to tightening and shrinkage. Thus reducing the appearance of the stretch marks.
Painfactor
A numbing or anesthetic cream applied to the area prior to the procedurerenders it pretty comfortable. A mild pricking sensation may be experienced but it is easily tolerated by the patient.
Sessions Required
A minimum of 6-8 sessions are required, depending on the severity of stretch marks.
Possible Side Effects
Mild redness and swelling may appear post procedure, that usually fade off within few hours. When high energy levels are used for deep stretch marks, scabs or crustsformation may occur (similar to what we get after a wound), which shed off within 5 days.
Precautions Before And After The Procedure
Hair Removal: Treatment like waxing or laser hair removal should be avoided two weeks prior to the treatment.
Sun Exposure: Extended exposure to the sun after the procedure should be avoided.
Avoid any sort of work or physical exercise that will irritate the skin.
What To Expect From The Treatment?
Reduction of red (striaerubra) and white (striae alba) stretch marks along with improvement in the texture of skin. Gradual reduction in the severity and visibility of stretch marks is noticed with subsequent sessions.

ACNE (Self-care)
Tumblr media
Try not to squeezeor pick acne lesions as this can aggravate them and may cause scarring.
When you have acne, it is important to take treatment to control it as early as it appears. This helps to avoid permanent scarring and reduces embarrassment.
You must use advisedtreatment for at least two months before you observeany improvement.
Some creams may dry or irritate the skin initially. If you developredness and irritation by a cream or lotion, stop treatment temporarilyfor a few days and use the treatment less frequently and then buildup gradually.
Only use make up products that are oil-free or water-based. Choose products labelled as ‘non-comedogenic’ (do not cause whiteheadsor blackheads) or non-acnegenic (don’t cause acne).
Gently cleanse your skin and remove make-up with an oil-free soap substitute. Scrubbing can irritate the skin and make acne worse. Blackheads are not caused due to bad hygiene.
There is little to no evidence that chocolate and “fast foods” cause acne; however, a balanced diet including fresh fruit and vegetables will help your overall health.

Photo facial treatment for your flawless skin
Flawless skin is something that each of us dreams, especially when it comes to our face. We all want that perfectly glowing, spotless skin that is blemish and wrinkle-free. And there are many remedies that people try out in order to maintain their skin and keep it looking flawless.
As you may all be aware, one of the main culprits when it comes to causing skin related problems is exposure to sunlight. Although we do need some amount of exposure to sunlight when it comes to maintaining healthy skin, too much can lead to the development of a sun-tan, skin darkening and even damage to the skin.
Although a sunscreen may help to reduce the amount of damage that occurs to your skin as a result of daily exposure to sunlight, it cannot entirely prevent it and in the long run, you will definitely be able to see the changes that are occurring to your skin as a result of this damage.
Of late, more and more people are turning towards photo facial treatment carried out by a skin specialist in Janakpuri, as the answer to reverse this damage that occurs as a result of exposure to sunlight. And, we are here to explain to you all about photo facial treatment and how it can benefit you.
What is photo facial treatment?
It is a light-based treatment which helps to reverse a y changes that may have occurred to your skin as a result of too much exposure to sunlight. Along with this, it also helps solve other skin issues that people may be having, because during this treatment, your skin becomes rejuvenated, and there is a boost of collagen and elastin production in the skin, making it look healthier, and helping to solve many other skin related issues.
What are the benefits of photo facial treatment?
Because of this increased elastin and collagen production, there are multiple benefits to the skin which include:
Improvement of skin texture and tone
Reduces skin blemishes
Reduces dark spots
Skin pores are tightened
Reduces acne scars
Reduces wrinkles on the skin
Reduces development of acne
Helps with the treatment of Rosacea, a condition which develops as a result of an enlarged blood vessel and causes you skin to look red
You might still be wondering why you should opt for photo facial treatment when there are many other types of treatments that address the same issues. Added to the above mentioned benefits, you should also know that this treatment is less time consuming, with a session usually taking only up to 20 minutes, and never exceeding 1 hour. It can be used on various parts of the body, including the face, back, arms and neck. It can be done in conjunction with other skin care treatments and its effects are long lasting.
What are the different kinds of photo facial treatments available?
There are 2 different types of photo facial treatments available, which is the LED (Light Emitting Diode) treatment and the IPL (Intense Pulsed Light) treatment, which are both different from your regular facial. Led treatment is less intense, and involves using different hand held light emitting devices to your skin, which then help to boost collagen production and can help resolve minor issues such as wrinkles and blemishes.
IPL treatment is more intense than LED and involves the use of a powerful light whose wavelength is outside that of laser, and this light then penetrates deep into the skin to boost production of elastin and collagen, but does not cause any harm. Both these types of treatment will leave your skin looking younger and rejuvenated.

Should you pop pimples? – Listen from the Dermatologist in Janakpuri
Pimples are unavoidable at some stage of our life. We see people complain of pimples when they eat certain kinds of foods, when they are overly exposed to dust or smoke, women when they are nearing their mensuration, when they switch to a different unsuitable substance to their skin, etc. The dermatologist in Janakpuri says, commonly pimples are as a result of excessive oil production, excessive hormonal production, hair follicles being clogged by oil and dead skin cells or development of bacteria.
Whatever the reason could be, we hate pimples as they destroy the beauty of our face. When a pimple appears out, we tend to check out its appearance in the mirror several times and finally somehow we pinch it and break it. Have you noticed a whitish fluid that comes out of a pimple, once you pop it?
Pimples appear with pus
Pimples with pus appear from both inflammation and as an immune response. The dermatologist in Janakpuri explains that pimple pus is made from oil, dead skin cells, debris and bacteria that get trapped in your skin holes. When the pimples are proactive and inflammatory, your immune system gets activated in this area that results in noticeable pus, or whitish fluid inside the pimple. As the inflammation improves, the pus filled pimples will also improve and go down gradually.
What happens when you pop pimples?
It is so well understandable why we tend to pop pimples. It is because we want the pimples to go off from our eye-site very soon. But, we are not doing the right thing by popping the pimples sooner than the time they take to go off by their own.
According to the dermatologist in Janakpuri, here are the consequences of popping pimples –
Increased swelling and redness at the pimple site, than it was before
The bacteria inside the pimple can spread around and cause more infection
Erupted pus will get spread to near skin and lead to more pimples
Open wound is exposed to germs and would cause severe infection
The healing time of wounded scabs is higher than you letting the pus to settle by its own
Pimple scars are very difficult to treat; they take years to fade away and need additional treatment
Dark marks or discoloration of the skin is left in the place of popped pimples
Popping, breaking, squeezing or your any other attempt to remove pimples and not letting them to heal naturally is definitely not the right way of treating the pimples.
How do you treat pimples?
Pimples, when given the right treatment will start to disappear on their own. You may see first the pus disappears, then the redness in the pimple site and gradually overall pimple lesions lessen. Above everything else, you must keep your hands away from the pimple and control your urge to pop or squeeze out the pus.
You may heard from your mothers and grandmothers many home remedies for treating pimples. Lavender oil, fish oil, tea tree oil, probiotics, zinc supplements, etc. are few ingredients of such home remedies. One may get over-the-counter medications without consulting any specialists to cure the troubling pimples. The dermatologist in Janakpuri knows well the secrets of long-trusted ingredients and prescribes oral and topical medications and therapies to cure your pimples effectively and even quicker.
Retinoids and retinoid-like drugs, antibiotics, salicylic acid and azelaic acid, dapsone, etc. are commonly recommended topical medications by the dermatologists. Oral antibiotics, combined oral contraceptives, anti-androgen agents, isotretinoin, etc. are commonly recommended oral medications to treat pimples. At few occasions dermatologists would also give you recommendations for therapies such as steroid injections, lasers and photodynamic therapies, etc. Only the specialists would be able to assess your severity and requirement of the effective treatment.
You may not choose to visit a specialist if you are just having one or few pimples. Maintaining the pimple site clean, avoiding frequent touching or squeezing by hands and trying out home remedies would be helpful at these occasions. However, if pimples are bothering you too much and you feel it is uncontrollable, it is always advisable to visit a specialist. The dermatologist in Janakpuri, not only gives the effective treatment, but also would give adequate support to fully overcome the problem with his experience and specialized service.
