#this is legit Diego's thought process in IA1 I swear don't @ me#Ice Age#Ice Age feels#Mango feels#Diego has a great deal of respect for Manny/Manfred#this is consistent in IA1 especially and in the sequels#look at IA1 - he is the sole herd member to call Manny 'Manfred' and takes longer to use the 'Manny' form of his name#Diego as I view him in IA1 is a broken abused individual#which is why he eats up Manny's kindness and compassion towards him so quickly#and why he also chooses - rather quickly - to switch sides to 'serve' Manny over Soto at the end/near the middle of IA1#Ice Age meta#in the tags
