A familiar-- and taller?-- redhead taps lightly at the infirmary door. He's got something in both hands, but one is behind him. "Hello? Mister Aldous? May I come in?" He knew that the infirmary was at times a place he shouldn't be, so he knew to ask permission before entering.

There was a loud squabble from behind the door– a mixture of cackles, caws and crowing from the unkindness that liked to lurk within. The excited clamoring was quelled only by a voice that rose above the din, words shouted in German for silence (among other things).

It didn’t take long for the unorthodox doctor to open the door. He wore an apron splattered not with the visceral gore of some cadaver he had been busy opening up, but, instead, it was flecked with what looked to be flour, and spots of dough.

“…heh. I thought I recognized that voice.” The scarred man instantly brightened. “Little Hanna! Eh, well… not so little anymore. You grew! Getting vitamins, I see. Something my brother’s still on my case about.”

Thrilled to see him, he happily beckoned him inside. The clamoring of caws and excited shrieks filled the air once more, and it was obvious from the sound that the unkindness was happy to see him, too. A few alighted to nearby perches, just to get closer to the young boy.

“I’m happy to see you! How have you been? Doing well, I hope? Did you want some cookies? I just finished pulling a batch from the oven.”
