AU where Danny does get powers from the accident- but instead of being a halfa and everything he just inherits the properties of zone ectoplasm from the show ('real world' stuff can phase through him, ghosts can't phase through him/overshadow him, etc.) and is Incredibly Aware of all the ectoplasm in his vicinity, so now instead of the classic superhero-y fights Danny just has to goad ghosts down to ground level and fist-fight them.
