So Unus Annus is ending in like 3 hours, and I just wanted to say how much happiness it brought me this year. This year has been hell, but the chaos of Unus Annus made things more bearable, if only to let me escape from my anxiety for a few minutes.

I've been here from the beginning and I'm gonna miss it for sure.

After my ‘attempted murder’ of Kurt and the subsequent research into my recent sleep habits, I was directed to take a week to rest. I was to exit my room only for recreation or food.

Sierra and Kurt have forgiven me of course. I gave them a scare but a free No Questions Asked favor each was all it took to win them back over. Not like either of them ever use those favors for anything interesting anyway.

Day one, I slept as instructed.

Day two was spent reading.

Day three I got bored. I wasn’t allowed near the lab at all, my body monitor would alert them of my arrival long before I could get what I wanted. I was not forbidden from the cleaning supplies.

Day four, I began mixing the stolen supplies to make the required chemicals. I spent the rest of the day making it.

Day five, I locked my door and tested.

I woke up confused. It couldn’t possibly still be the same day. I tried to move my arm, but it didn’t respond to my command.

I looked around the room. I saw Drega asleep in a chair. Sierra and Kurt were both on a cot. I was in medical, but why?

I know the chemicals I grabbed were harmless. They wouldn’t have been able to cause damage, or knock me out like that. Not unless something was wrong.

“Alex. You are awake.”

Drega sounded happy. Relieved I guess. I turned to her, but my head barely moved. I tried to speak and nothing came out.

“You have questions. Let me do my best. You were taking excellent notes on your against the rules testing which is why we knew exactly what to look at. The gas your project made as a byproduct should have been harmless but it instead created a carbon dioxide and nitrogen mix that choked out the oxygen in your room. We did not notice until much later, and you were nearly dead by the time Kurt broke into your room.

“We have concluded that the chemical mishap was on purpose. The culprits have not been found as of yet, but several other ships have reported severe problems regulating proper gasses. Had the cleaners used these chemicals, we also would have run the risk of loosing most of the crew. I know this doesn’t make up for what you have suffered, but I do thank you for this.”

Drega stopped talking, but only to take a deep breath. Drega no longer looked happy.

“Alex, you are paralyzed. The lack of oxygen for so long as deprived your brain of the ability to control your body. There are treatments we will try, but I am not hopeful.”

That’s why I couldn’t move. That’s why my hand wouldn’t listen. I needed to see what I was actually working with. I needed to see what did this.

I couldn’t express that to Drega though. I could do nothing but move my eyes as my crew mates struggled to save me.

Ok, let's try this again. I tried to post pics of my birthday cake last night but tumblr decided to be a cockwomble and not post it!!!

It's everything I wanted and more!! I knew it would be gorgeous, but actually seeing it for the first time yesterday made me so happy i cried some tears of joy~

Heyyyyyyy lads!!!! So i wanted to make a post about what i got for my birthday!!! I'm also gonna make a post about my cake, but i have to take pics first lmao

So right now here's what I got for my birthday!!!!

I got this awesome Batman wall decoration, the gold rain is metallic!!! Now i just gotta find a place to hang it XD

I got a stainless steel Batman necklace, pictured with the cute little box it came in!!

This one was really exciting!! The Red Dead Redemption 2 official collector's edition guidebook!! It's gorgeous, and extremely helpful!! There's so much information in it, from gameplay to secrets and fun random things, it's got comprehensive maps for collectables, and since i got the collector's edition, it comes with a character gallery!! I love this book~

Aaaaaaaand lastly, this necklace!!! I'm pretending that Arthur got it for me, hehe~ The little gem is situated in an actual bullet!! I'm also pretending that the bullet is the bullet that I blocked from hitting Arthur at some point lol. It's really pretty and I love it a lot!!!

Alrighty!! Those are the gifts i got, I'm really happy with all of them!!! I'll post pics of the cake soon, cuz it deserves its own post anyways tbh~

Update

So a few weeks ago I posted that my beloved dog, Madam, was very sick and that the prognosis was bleak. Now, I must regretfully make an update

Today, we had to make the heartbreaking decision to put Madam to sleep. She passed peacefully and without pain, and both my mom and I were with her.

We had much more time than we imagined we would with her, and I'm at peace with the knowledge that we did everything in our power to make her better.

It was also today that the vet told us that judging by the quick deterioration of Madam's breathing and overall health, it's likely that she had lung cancer, not pneumonia.

Madam fought bravely and did her damndest to put on a brave face and act like she felt better than she did. But it was clear that it was taking a toll on her, and I couldn't watch her struggle to breathe anymore.

She's in a better place now, no doubt greeted by her sister, Lily, and my own family members who will watch over her. She's finally at peace.

As for me, I'm heartbroken. Madam was my best friend, the constant source of light and love in my life through my darkest days. To have to say goodbye to her was one of the hardest things I've ever had to endure.

At the same time though, I'm relieved. I don't have to worry about her anymore, i don't have to watch her suffer and see the pain in her eyes. I know she's at peace, and I know that I'll be ok. It'll take some time, but I will be ok.

Rest in peace, Madam Queen, my beloved doggo, I named you after a steam engine, and you certainly lived up to your name. You were valiant, faithful, and your strength was ironclad.

I will never forget you.

are you named after someone? Yiss! I’m named after my mom’s aunt Betty and her grandma Helen! But if I had been a boy, my name would’ve been Eric Richard, with Eric not being from any part of my fam, but Richard being my dad’s name lol

last time you cried? I.... can’t remember honestly??

any kids? HAHAHA LMFAO NAHHHH. I plan on adopting someday tho!

do i use sarcasm? Yeeeeee, sarcasm and derision are my thang lol

first thing i notice about a person? Eyes!! As an artist, I learned to draw eyes via a youtube tutorial and it really made me realize all the complexities of the eye! There’s so many colors and the shape is so different from person to person, how the hue changes with the light or a person’s mood? Amazing~ I always look at a person’s eyes first~

eye color?  Uh, blue grey? They’re weird tbh, sometimes it’s easy to tell what color they are and then it’s like ‘well fuck it idk’ lmao. When my pupils are fully contracted, they turn silver tho~

scary movie or happy ending? Happy ending for sure. I’m not a fan of scary movies, too much gore

special talent? I’m a pretty good mimic! I can mimic accents, certain voices I hear, and I can make animal sounds and sound effects! Sometimes I think about a career in voice acting lol

birthplace? Amarillo, Texas!!

hobbies? Drawing, writing, daydreaming (idc if that doesn’t count i’m putting it anyways XD), singing, listening to music, plastic canvas sewing, origami, cooking, and swimming!! 

played any sports? NO. I hate sports. And I suck at them so it doesn’t matter either way lol. Tho there was a time where I considered competitive swimming, but then I was like ‘nah that’s boring’. Oh and I was a cheerleader when I was a kid, but I wasn’t very good at it. Everyone asks me if I play basketball or volleyball, and the answer is NO, I DO NOT. lmao

pets? I have 5 chihuahuas, Madam, Angel, Sugar, Bambi, and Scooter! And 3 cats, Bella, Dahlia, and Itsy Bitsy! I used to have a dove named Snowy Dove, but she passed away quite a few years ago.

height? 6′4~ I’m a strong sword wielding goddess among mortal men~

favorite subject in school? SCIENCE!!!!! SCIENCE ALL DAY ERRYDAY!!! God, I cannot even begin to recount my love of science, it’s followed me to this day lemme tell ya~ A close second would be art and english, with my least faves being pe and math lol

dream job? I would love to be the curator of a palentological exhibit of a museum, a gemologist for a jewelry store, a professional artist, and/or a voice actress! I’ll be pursuing degrees to facilitate the first three when I enter college~

Yes indeed!! I fell head over heels for him after purchasing the third movie from the 5 dollar movie bin at walmart on a whim, and my my, what a great decision that was on my part~ I’m so glad to hear that you love the movies!! It’s always a pleasure to meet a fellow fan!!

bad news

I took my dog to the vet today and her prognosis isn’t good. She’s got pneumonia, or cancer we’re not sure which, and it’s bad. They’re treating it hard and we’re hoping we caught it in time.

I’m asking everyone who sees this to please, keep my dog in your thoughts and prayers. She needs all the good energy she can get right now. 

As for me, I’m not taking this well in the slightest, but I’m trying to be strong for my baby. She means the world to me, she’s my oldest friend, I’ve had her for half of my life and I honestly don’t know what I’ll do if she doesn’t make it. 

Anyways, thank you all, and here’s hoping that Madam pulls through.
