What are their exes like? Any significant ones?

V - She has a lot of exes and a wide variety of relationships. When she thinks “significant”, she thinks of the turbulent on-and-off girlfriend she had through college. Gorgeous and mostly made of benders and half-remembered adventures. 

Giah - She has been in one serious relationship, and now she’s at the bottom of the bay. Everyone else has just been a blur of faces between her legs. Next question. 

Twiggy - He’s been in a handful of relationships, all of which he took very seriously. Growing up a Nomad either meant dating other nomads or people he thought were especially trustworthy. Hell, in his last relationship, he was fully prepared to be it. They were creative and driven for the bigger things, but willing to exist in his little world and cared about his weird/niche interests.

Now he’s in NC, and they’re in NYC, so you can guess how that went. 

Is there anything they would change about their past?

TW: SI  

Val - She’s happy about where she ended up. She wishes she could have run from Arasaka. She still goes back and forth, but she'd probably not have taken the Konpeki job. 

If she thinks about it for too long, she wishes she had jumped in ‘68. It's one of the few moments in her whole life she actually felt a sense of control, and it would've saved a lot of people a lot of pain. 

She has a complicated relationship with that question.

Giah - She would've kept her nose in her work and never fallen in love.  

Twiggy - at this point in his life, not really. He’s a pretty “take it on the chin” guy. He wishes some things could've been different, like his music career taking off or his mom still being alive, but even if he could change it, he wouldn't. Not now.

Episode 45

Hey, quick thoughts on everything Jester has been through up until episode 45 because I’ve been thinking about this a lot before this episode:

1. Way back in the day, Jester, Fjord, and Yasha all got kidnapped by Lorenzo and his not-so-merry assholes. 

2. On their way, they literally hear Molly die (while they didn’t know he actually died at the time, just think about how fucking awful that must be for Jester to remember). 

3. Lorenzo tortures the shit out of them all, and Jester makes herself the source of every one else’s hope and happiness by humming to them and trying to brighten the worst situation she or anyone has ever been in. 

4. She is barely given a second to breath when she hears about Molly dying. 

5. She and Fjord have next to no processing time (they went shopping, and she tried to get the Traveler to “like her again”. At the end of only 15 days, Fjord whisks them off and away to Nicodranas.

6. Jester does get to briefly see her mom, but after only three days in Nicodranas, they all steal The Mist making it near impossible to visit her mother again. (Although not entirely impossible)

7. She has to watch from afar as her first friend and crush Fjord cozies up with an untrustworthy pirate. The only other person--aside from Yasha, who isn’t super there bc of stupid Blindspot--who really understands what she’s still trying to cope with. 

8. However, Jester always has to put on a happy face. Everyone else is struggling: Fjord in trying to discover more about U’katoa and Vandren, Caleb is still always a very Sad Boi, Beau is trying to learn from their past “Mist”akes (get it), Caduceus is also having a not good time on the sea, and Nott hates water (although Nott gets hella props for everything she says and does for Jester). Jester is trying to do her best to keep everyone’s spirits up despite the fact that she’s still getting over the trauma of being kidnapped and tortured, as well as leaving her mom for a potentially LONG TIME.

9.So there she is on the boat, having just witnessed Caleb and Fjord enact a blood ritual in Dashilla’s cave. They all just narrowly avoided death by ritual storm, and she and everyone else get pulled into a maze of magical rooms. 

10. Fjord disappears from being the dumbest boi. Jester is shoved along with Beau because of proximity and lands in front of a blue dragon. One of the most terrifying beasts she has ever encountered. 

11. After having an ingenious idea of polymorphing the dragon, she forgets to calculate some of the other potential outcomes and draws the dragon’s attention directly to her. 

12. I think Jester really and truly felt that she was going to die in that lair, and for the first time, she could not feign confidence or other ideas like she does a lot of the times in battle. Her spells weren’t working the way she wanted (blink and inflict wounds), and her friends were slowly beginning to leave her alone--her biggest fear. Fjord tried to save her, but the battle was so chaotic that he had to flee; Cad needed to warn Caleb and Nott about the orb, then get the hell out of dodge; Caleb didn’t even know Jester was in there and injured...

13. Nott almost sacrificed her life for Jester, and I think Jester knows how close Nott was to death as well. 

They all made it out of there, but Jester’s whole, “I’m a really good liar” is much truer that any of those idiots (other than maybe Nott?) realizes. Jester has literally had to bottle every emotion that she has felt for everything listed above, and no one has noticed until this very moment. 

I fault no one for leaving her in the situation with the dragon-- c’mon you guys, that situation was fucked the second Fjord hit the ground and people really did try to wait and fight. Fjord tried not to leave her behind, but she was blinked and he didn’t know where she was. Cad tried to wait until she was unconscious, but had to effectively show Nott and Caleb what to do because Twiggy was well hidden and it was all a clusterfuck. 

I do fault them, though, for not thinking about everything else leading up until that moment. Jester has comforted all of them throughout the entire campaign, but after everything with Lorenzo ended and those fifteen days of shopping and pranks were up, the party kind of forgot about where her mental health might be. It has been a crazy ride since the stealing of “The Mist”ake, but they Nein need to communicate and love each other more especially Jester. I am worried about her.

More skating au heacanons~ I’m just really attached to this dumb idea okay

Grog and Pike live together in a basement apartment, which they’re not allowed to paint so every inch of the walls is covered in posters (they’ve got hockey players, figure skaters, a couple bands they like, etc.) 

They’ve known each other since they were kids and everyone knows they’re a package deal by now

Pike is studying medicine and she loves it, but both of them have dreams of making it big on the ice

She loves watching pairs figure skating (Grog does too, but he’s slower to admit it)

Both of them have been skating for years and they were regulars at the Westrun rink before it shut down after a pipe burst

Everyone else skates at the Emon rink, which is a bit nicer and newer 

Vex and Vax have been skating since they were little (their mom loved to skate and taught them when they were kids, and then their father paid for the most expensive and intense lessons possible while they lived with him and they hated every second of it)

Since moving out of their father’s place, they’ve refused to have any official coaching and they work out their own routines

It hasn’t been the most successful strategy in terms of competitions, but they’re happier this way and they’ve been steadily improving 

They met Scanlan a few years before and he’s decided to make himself their manager

Scanlan used to be pretty well known in the figure skating world, but after discovering he had a daughter (who he hadn’t known about for most of her life) he decided to put away the skates to spend more time with her

Kaylie is also into skating, although she’s more interested in speed skating, but Scanlan’s taught her a few tricks here and there

It’s through Kaylie that they meet Percy (Kaylie and Cassandra are cute skating girlfriends and no one can take this away from me)

He usually takes Cassandra to the rink, but he hasn’t skated himself much in years, but the twins drag him onto the ice one day and he remembers how much fun it can be

Keyleth is the newest member of their little group before Grog and Pike (they met her when she literally bumped into Vex as she was getting off the ice)

And Keyleth is pretty strong and super graceful on a pair of skates, but once she’s off the ice, she’s a disaster on legs (but in a charming cute way if you’re not the one she’s crashing into)

All four of them trade off when they practice pairs skating (Keyleth is by far the best at lifting any of the other three, cause the twins are smol and Percy is kinda twiggy) but Vex and Vax still mostly skate together

Once Grog and Pike join the group, Grog and Keyleth have contests to see who can throw people the highest (Grog usually wins, but if Keyleth is tossing Pike, she can get pretty close) 

Keyleth and Percy design the outfits for competition and Scanlan and Kaylie compose the music

At some point, Scanlan just starts living on the couch in Grog and Pike’s place (the apartment’s a little big for just two people anyway, so it’s not a big deal until the twins, and then Percy, and then Keyleth follow, and even then they make it work)

Everyone else in the group can say that they’ve made out with both of the twins. They have a loooot of parties and Vex likes to sneak kisses when she’s had a few (Vax just likes surprise makeouts cause he thinks it’s funny)

Trinket is a giant dog (that really looks more like a bear) and he sometimes comes along to the rink with Vex, although he’s very well behaved and just sits near the bleachers until Vex gets off the ice

Keyleth has a massive house can named Minxy (Vax insists she must be part cougar or something) 

Percy is very good at technical aspects of skating and someone usually has to drag him away from the ice or he’ll spend all night there trying to perfect a new jump

Grog and Scanlan have a shared dream of having a sort of monster truck event with zambonis (it’s a lot cooler in their heads than when they actually manage to get two zambonis to try it)

I have a lot more where this came from tbh but this is getting so long. If anyone else wants to talk about this or send me prompts or something pls do!
