Presentación de la Guía de actuación frente a la violencia de las fuerzas de seguridad, por Emilia

      El viernes 31 de agosto fue la presentación de La Guía de actuación frente a la violencia de las Fuerzas de Seguridad, en el centro cultural de la Cooperativa Obrera. Esta guía fue realizada por las Red Provincial por los Derechos Humanos. El panel de presentación estaba a cargo de Eduardo Hidalgo (Secretario General de la Asamblea Permanente por los Derechos Humanos de Bahía Blanca) , Marina Vega (psicóloga que forma parte de la Red provincial por los derechos humanos de Buenos Aires) y Emanuel Tellechea (abogado que integra el Centro de Pensamiento Jurídico Inclusivo)        Contaron cómo fue surgiendo la necesidad de prestar este tipo de información ante la creciente represión que el actual gobierno presenta como respuesta a las protestas sociales generadas por sus propias políticas. Se habló del acentuado deterioro de la democracia que se genera cuando el poder judicial no funciona correctamente, o sea, como un  poder independiente del ejecutivo. Nos relataron casos en los cuales las requisas (ilegales) en colectivos se daban solamente en partidos donde el gobierno local no proveía el control correspondiente sobre las fuerzas de seguridad, y cómo al cruzar la calle divisoria hacia otro partido las requisas no se producían. Se habló de interseccionalidad (opresión, dominación o discriminación que se produce ante la combinación de factores sociales, biológicos y culturales: mujer trans, menor de bajos recursos económicos, inmigrante que trabaja en la calle, etc) y qué tan poca información se posee sobre el tema.          Luego se abrió al diálogo con el público presente, y un chico que parecía también ser abogado o al menos conocer a integrantes del panel, preguntó qué podían hacer los chicos que lo habían acompañado (4 o 5 chicos jóvenes que no eran abogados, venían de algún barrio marginado por el Estado) cuando asisten a la guardia del Hospital Penna y se les niega el servicio público. Surgió un pequeño debate que ancló en un problema más profundo. Claramente hay que denunciar este abandono, entendiendo sin embargo que el problema de base es el vaciamiento de las instituciones públicas a cargo de nuestros derechos básicos. No los atienden porque no hay médicos, porque no se proveen los recursos necesarios. Este desmantelamiento sistematizado de lo que conocíamos como Estado propicia la queja, la denuncia y consecuentemente la aplicación de las políticas que un gobierno neoliberal quiere de movida: privatizar, cerrar, desfinanciar.          Se habló de mucho más. Me alegró encontrarme con una guía tan práctica de qué hacer ante estas situaciones y descubrir que existe en Bahía Blanca un grupo de personas que achiquen nuestra ignorancia con respecto a estos temas. Se vive una feria segura, de calidad e incluyente

“Como lo estableció el gobernador del Estado, Omar Fayad Meneses, la Feria San Francisco Pachuca, Hidalgo 2017, ha mostrado ser una festividad segura, de calidad e incluyente para las familias hidalguenses”, afirmó Rafael Hernández Olín, Director de la Operadora de eventos del Estado, al informar que hasta el momento el número de asistentes ha superado los indicadores correspondientes a las ediciones 2015 y 2016.

En este sentido, dijo, que  las atracciones  con las que cuenta la feria son de la más alta calidad, prueba de ello es el circo sobre hielo Ilusión On Ice, el cual se puede disfrutar  de lunes a  viernes  en dos horario 16:00 y 20:00 hrs, mientras que sábado y domingo  se presentan tres funciones 16:00, 18:00 y 20:00 hrs, dicho espectáculo es uno de los mejores de américa latina.

Hernández Olín  añadió que otra atracción, es el teatro del pueblo que cuenta con la presentación de artistas de talla nacional e internacional como; Los Auténticos Decadentes, El Tri, Morat, Paquita la del Barrio, entre otros. Recordó que para cerrar con broche de oro se contará con la presencia de Emanuel y Mijares. ”El teatro es garantía de calidad y la gente lo puedo disfrutar con tan solo pagar su boleto de acceso a la feria sin nigua costo adicional. De igual manera hemo brindado más de 2 mil 500 cortesías para que diferentes grupos sociales tengan acceso al recinto ferial” reiteró.

En materia de seguridad, Hernández Olín, destacó la gran colaboración que se ha tenido con las diferentes corporaciones como la Secretaria de Seguridad Pública Estatal y Municipal, así como de la Policía Industrial Bancaria y elementos de seguridad privada, lo que ha dado como resultado contar con una feria segura.

Por último el Director de la Operadora de Eventos del Gobierno del Estado, invitó a la población a visitar la Feria San Francisco Pachuca Hidalgo  2017 en su  recta final, y no perder la oportunidad de disfrutar  de los grandes atractivos  como el pabellón cultural y el pabellón interactivo del  DIF Estatal, así como los eventos de cacharrería y  las corridas taurinas.

Rose windows of Notre Dame are safe but fate of other treasures is unclear

The cathedral of Notre Dame in Paris is home to scores of priceless artifacts, artwork and relics collected over the centuries, each with their own story.

As a devastating fire tore through the revered Gothic cathedral on Monday, toppling its spire, many feared these treasures might be lost forever.

A “forest” of wooden latticework fueled the blaze which consumed the building’s roof, whose framework dates back to the 13th century, according to Msgr. Patrick Chauvet, the cathedral’s rector.

The Paris Fire Brigade tweeted that the cathedral’s stone construction has been “saved,” as have the “main works of art.” As more information emerges, what has been rescued from Notre Dame is becoming apparent.

Yet many details, such as possible water damage from the operation to save the building, are still unclear.

What was saved

• The Crown of Thorns, which some believe was placed on the head of Christ and which the cathedral calls its “most precious and most venerated relic,” was rescued from the fire, Paris Mayor Anne Hidalgo said. Hidalgo confirmed the Tunic of Saint Louis and other major works were also saved. Both relics were were among items taken to Paris City Hall for safekeeping, Culture Minister Franck Riester said.

• A number of artworks will be taken to the renowned Louvre art gallery inthe coming days, said Riester. Among them is a series of large paintings, known as the “Mays de Notre Dame,” the minister said. Early examinations of the paintings showed signs of smoke damage but no fire damage, according to Riester.

• Recovered artworks will be taken to storage facilities owned by the Louvre, where they will be dehumidified, protected, conserved and restored,Riester said.

• The facade and twin bell towers, the tallest structures in Paris until the completion of the Eiffel Tower in the late 19th century, survived the blaze. The North tower was completed in 1240 and the South tower in 1250.

• The cathedral’s main bell, Emanuelle, lives in the South tower. It has marked significant moments in French history, such as the end of World War II, as well as holidays and special occasions. It is not known whether any damage was sustained to it.

• The Rose windows are a trio of immense round stained-glass windows over the cathedral’s three main portals that date back to the 13th century. All three appear to have been saved. Culture Minister Franck Riester said that the three windows do not appear to have suffered catastrophic damage.

• The original Great Organ, one of the world’s most famous musical instruments, dates back to medieval times. Over the years, organ makers renovated the instrument and added onto it, but it still contained pipes from the Middle Ages before Monday’s fire. The position of titular organist, or head organist, carries great prestige in France and around the world. The Archbishop of Paris confirmed the organ is safe, CNN affiliate BFM TV reported.

Fate of other artifacts unconfirmed

It seems that the most valuable artifacts have been spared. “We managed to protect the most precious treasures in a safe place,” a Paris City Hall spokesperson told CNN.

French media reported that a fragment of the True Cross and one of the Holy Nails were saved.

• There were also numerous sculptures, statues and paintings inside the cathedral depicting Biblical scenes and saints. A series of paintings, each nearly four meters tall and originally numbering 76, commemorates the New Testament’s Acts of the Apostles, including the crucifixion of St. Peter and the conversion of St. Paul. The works were completed between 1630 and 1707 by the members or associates of the Royal Academy of Painting and Sculpture. Of about 50 that survive, 13 remained on display in the cathedral, according to its website.

Another painting is from a series by Jean Jouvenet depicting the life of the Virgin Mary. All six were moved to the Louvre in the 1860s, and only “The Visitation” was returned to Notre Dame.

• It is not yet clear how much damage there is to the cathedral’s exterior, where a menagerie of menacing gargoyles and chimeras stand guard and a system of flying buttresses support the outside walls.

A Paris police source told CNN that part of the vault has collapsed in the central nave, and architects are checking whether the structure is stable.

• The cathedral also has an archaeological crypt under the courtyard. It was created to protect 19th-century relics that were discovered during excavations in 1965. It opened to the public in 1980.
