A tale that believes in Resonating Hearts...

As of now, the world is whole, but in the ancient past it was divided into the realms of Sylvarant and Tethe'alla. Two years ago, Lloyd Irving and Colette Brunel, the Chosen of Regeneration, set out on a journey to reunite the fractured worlds. Together, they planted a new world tree that brought together the worlds of Sylvarant and Tethe'alla.

What should have been a joyous occasion, it instead descended into chaos and despair. A series of unfortunate natural disasters ravaged the land. Lakes dried up, savage winds beat the mountains and verdant forests became deserts. The citizens of the New World were lost in the confusion and in the desperate times, they turned to desperate measures.

Tethe'alla's forces rallied behind the Church of Martel, claiming the authority of the hero Lloyd Irving and the goddess Martel. The Sylveranti formed the Vanguard, a violent resistance moment with no mercy for Church sympathizers. War engulfed the New World...

In a small seaside town, a new journey is beginning. War has reached the shores of Palmacosta and in its path are the lives of two budding heroes. Emil Castagnier and Marta Lualdi have a chance encounter that changes their lives forever. Together, they must set out to discover the secrets of the past and, in doing so, find hope for a brighter future. Only through their actions may they find the light to see the Dawn of the New World.

Improvements

Experience the story of the original game, now with updated sequences and expanded sections.

Updated visuals and skits in the artstyle of Tales of the Rays. Experience new facial expressions and body movements in bith gameplay and in-game cutscenes.

Improved gameplay! The battle system and tag team switch mechanic from Tales of Berseria is utilized!

Once the original Symphonia Heroes permanently join you, they will now be able to Level Up to the Max Level Cap like Emil and Marta and can obtain additional weapons.

Side Quests can now be tracked and kept manage of! You'll now be notified when Side Quests can be tackled without missing them! You'll even be given a time frame of when they'll be open before they get closed off.

Improved Monster System! Monsters you form pacts with now gain EXP from battles alonside the Playable cast.

Improved World Map! Travel across the world map like in the original Tales of Symphonia, including battles with enemies in the overworld!

Remixed soundtrack! Experience the music from the original game with a new coat of paint! You can even switch to the original soundtrack to suit your preferences.

Co-op returns! Two players can play and fight alongside together in battles!

Experience the story of the original game, now with improved dialog, updated sequences and expanded sections, including the three endings you can obtain! New story additions include two new chapters (for a total of ten chapters), six new locations (Ozette, Latheon Gorge, Dragon's Nest, Exire, Lake Umacy and a new Dimensional Warp Gate) to explore, additional boss battles and a new epilogue upon obtaining the True Ending.

The other six Centurions are given full characterization, including designs and personalities.

During Chapter 10 (The Eternal Bond), when you head to the Dimensional Warp Gate, you can challenge the heroes from Tales of Phantasia in a secret boss fight. Battle againt Cress Albane, Mint Adenade, Claus F. Lester, Arche Klaine, Chester Burklight and Suzu Fujibayashi! Do you have what it takes to fight against these challengers from the future?

Anime cutscenes are now added! Witness key points of the story with new animated visuals!

Costumes are added for Emil, Marta, Richter and the original eight Symphonia Heroes. Dress them up with iconic outfits!

New Skits are added! Will you be able to experience them along with the classic ones?

Updated After-Battle Quotes! Battle Quotes are now tied to story and character development of Emil, Marta and the playable cast. Even new animations are added.

Emil, Marta, Richter and the original Symphonia heroes now have three Mystic Artes in addition to their original one.

Sheena can now summon her contracted Summon Spirits when certains conditions during battle are fulfilled.

Additional Tag Team Artes outside of Emil and Marta's Ars Nova has been added. The following pairs are; Emil/Lloyd, Emil/Richter, Marta/Colette, Lloyd/Colette, Genis/Raine, Sheena/Zelos and Presea/Regal. Even Alice and Decus gets a Tag Team Arte when you fight them, so be careful!

New Monsters! 3 for each of the ten creature types are added for a total of 30 new monsters to form a pact with!

New overworld animations! Marta will now follow Emil (or Emil will follow Marta if she's in the lead) on the overworld with new animations and interactions. Marta will now have unique dialog when she interests with NPC's.

Additional overworld characters! When in your party, you can now play as Richter and the original eight Symphonia heroes in the overworld and World Map, each with unique interactions with NPC's. Additionally, the party gains items when Zelos interacts with Female NPC's.

New Game Mode - Battle Royale; Up to four players can play as any of the 11 playable characters and face each other locally or online! Last one standing will be the winner! Initially, only Emil, Marta, Richter and Colette are available. Unlock the other characters by playing through Emil and Marta Mode. You can also choose to battle against the computer as well.

New Game Mode - Alice and Decus Mode; Experience a new story through the eyes of Emil and Marta's Arch-Rivals, Alice and Decus. See Alice and Decus' own thoughts and views on the world and people around them alonside their dark past up to their final battle with Emil and Marta. Unlocked after obtaining the True Ending in Emil and Marta Mode. Once you clear Alice and Decus Mode, you can play as Alice and Decus in Battle Royale Mode.

New Game Mode - Monster Chess; Select one of the eight Centurions and compete with each other in a game of chess with the monsters as the pieces while the Centurion is the King! Can be played with a second player or the computer!

Marta's Quest - A Prequel story starring Marta. Experience her story during the six months before she meets Emil in Luin. Includes new characters in the form of Marta's former Vanguard unit. Clearing Marta's Quest will add the seven Vanguard Special Unit characters to play as in Battle Royale Mode.

Richter's Journey - A Prequel story starring Richter. Experience Richter and Aster's joruney to find Ratatosk, setting up the conflict in the main game. Clearing Richter's Journey will add Aster and Original Form Ratatosk to play as in Battle Royale Mode.

Colette and Zelos' Travels - See what Colette and Zelos have been up to as they search for Lloyd after the battle at the Cape Fortress!

Raine and Genis' Adventure - See what Raine and Genis have been up to after leaving Flanoir.

Presea: Memories of the Past - Experience the story through the eyes of Presea Combatir prior to her meeting with Emil and Marta.

Kratos: Protector of Darris Kharlan - Experience a side storyline featuring Kratos Aurion that occurs before and during the Main Story! Clearing Kratos: Protector of Darris Kharlan will add Kratos and Yuan to play as in Battle Royale Mode.

Post-Game Stories - Eight Post-Game chapters can be played. Set after the True Ending. Includes Day at the Beach, Standing Trial, To Cure a Sickness, Memories of Mom, Ozette Adventure, Lloyd and Colette, Battling the Neo Vanguard, and Guardian of the Gate.

Battle Royale Character Pack - Adds Dirk, Seles Wilder, Mithos Yggdrasill, Brute Lualdi, Hawk and Magnar as playable characters in Battle Royale Mode.

Legacy Costume Pack - Dress Emil, Marta, Richter and the original eight heroes up as other characters from the Tales Series games.

Special Weapons Pack - Gain exclusive weapons for Emil, Marta and the original eight heroes.

Tenebrae - Adds Tenebrae as a playable party member in Emil and Marta Mode! Take on a special side quest to make Tenebrae a playable party member in game! Tenebrae will also be added to Battle Royale Mode.

Aqua - Adds Aqua as a playable party member during the Emil and Marta Mode and Richter's Journey DLC! Tackle a special side quest in both modes to make Aqua a playable party member in game! Aqua will also be added to Battle Royale Mode.

Collaboration Boss Battles

Battle against special cameo collaboration characters! Experience new cutscenes against them and when you defeat them, Emil and Marta will gain new items and Titles they can use in Emil and Marta Mode!

To challenge them, head to the Dimension Warp Gate Area in Emil and Marta Mode and select them in the Summon Menu list!

Shakugan no Shana Colaboration Pack - Battle against supernatural heroes Shana and Yuji Sakai from the Light Novel series Shakugan no Shana! Winning will give Emil a copy of Shana's sword Nietono no Shana to use as a new sword while Marta will gain a new spinner stylized after Yuji's Midnight Lost Child Treasure Tool.

Kung Fu Panda Collaboration Pack - Battle against kung fu masters Po, Tigress, Monkey and Shifu from Dreamworks popular movie series Kung Fu Panda! Winning will unlock a Panda Costume for Emil, a Tiger Costume for Marta and special Monkey Charm and Red Panda Charm equipment for any character to use.

Sonic The Hedgehog Collaboration Pack - Battle against Supersonic legends Sonic The Hedgehog, Miles "Tails" Prower, Knuckles The Echidna and Amy Rose from SEGA's iconic Sonic The Hedgehog series! Winning will give Emil a special Sonic Wind Arte, Marta a Storming Heart Arte, a new sword based off Knuckles' Shovel Claws for Emil and a new spinner for Marta based off of Tails' own twin tails.

Disgaea Collaboration Pack - Battle against the superpowered (and wacky) Overlord Laharl, Etna, Flonne, Sicily and Hero Prinny from Nippon Ichi Software's iconic JRPG Series Disgaea! Winning will give Emil one of Laharl's Diabolic Swords, Marta will gain a special spinner based off of Flonne's Magic Staff, and special Demon Queen Charm and a Demon-Angel Necklace equipment for any character to use. Additionally, Prinny Costumes for Emil and Marta can be obtained.

The Familiar of Zero Collaboration Pack - Battle against the particular mage and familiar duo Louise Françoise Le Blanc de La Vallière and Saito Chevalier de Hiraga des Ornières from the memorable Light Novel series The Familiar of Zero. Winning will give Emil a Gandálfr Sword Strike Arte and Marta a Void Explosion Arte.

The Nightmare Before Christmas Collaboration Pack - Battle against the Pumpkin King Jack Skellington alongside his faithful dog Zero from Disney's classic movie The Nightmare Before Christmas. Winning will award Emil a Pumpkin King (Jack) Costume and Marta a Pumpikn Queen (Sally) Costume. Additionally, Emil will get a Soul Robber Sword and Marta will get a Soul Robber Spinner.

Street Fighter Collaboration Pack - Battle against famous World Warriors Ryu and Chun-Li from the smash hit fighting game series Street Fighter. Winning will give Emil the Shin Shoryuken Mystic Arte and Marta the Kikosho Mystic Arte. Additionally, Emil will obtain Ryu's Eternal Wanderer Outfit and Marta will obtaian Chun-Li's First Lady of Fighting Outfit.

Fate/stay night Collaboration Pack - Battle against the Holy Grail War legends Saber, Shirou Emiya and Rin Tohsaka from the classic Visual Novel Fate/stay night. Winning will give Emil a copy of Saber's Excalibur Sword and Marta will gain a spinner based on Rin's magecraft compass. Additionally, a special Shirou Bow equipment will be obtained for any character to use.
