Our Dearest Good Omens Fandom,
As you are no doubt aware, we at Do It With Style Events have been working tirelessly since 2020 to bring you nothing but the best fandom events. It is, therefore, with great excitement that we write to you today to inform you of our latest schemes for your enjoyment…
Strongly Worded Notes celebrates the art of communication (or, as it were, miscommunication), in all the various mediums it uses. From handwritten letters on expensive parchment, to telegrams, to the digital E-mails; even pictograms and maps shrouded with secret codes! In this event we ask you to embody the spirit of that Ineffable Duo and communicate in epistolary exchanges.
Writers and Artists are invited to join this Teamed event, with sign-ups closing on May 25, 2025.
We dearly hope you’ll join us for another amazing fandom event.
Sincerely yours,
The DIWS Mods
P.S.: For clarity, we use the word “letter” throughout our instructions below to mean any kind of epistolary message, not just literal snail mail letters.
Read under the cut for more info, or check out our full information document here
How it works
Artists and Writers are all invited to participate. This is a teamed event, with each team composed of 2-3 writers and 1 artist to create epistolary fanworks (letters). Each team will be given a prompt card, with one required prompt on the front and optional, suggested prompts on the back. Prompts will include an era, a medium, as well as genres and tropes to include. Prompt cards will be built based on the team’s responses during signups.
Every writer will be responsible for creating 3-5 letters from their character(s) point of view. Letters must be long-form, meaning no text messages, DMs, or other “instant” communication tools. Think: handwritten letters, telegrams, postcards, emails and even snarky pointed warring blog posts.
In teams of 2 Writers, there will be an assigned “Crowley”-writer and an assigned “Aziraphale”-writer.
In teams of 3 Writers, the third character will be added based on signup responses and the team’s planning.
Every artist will be responsible for creating 1-3 works. These works can either be letters in themselves, or accompanying artwork to go along with a writer’s letter. Works can include: images of gifts included with the letter, maps to secret rendezvous points, newspaper clippings, postcards, and more. Artists may choose whose perspective they are creating from for each piece.
After teams are created, they will have one (1) built-in week for discussion, plotting, and pre-planning, and then eleven (11) weeks to complete their works. A detailed schedule is below! We find participants are most likely to successfully complete the event when they are members of our Discord server. Therefore, we require server membership during the length of the event. Our server includes dedicated channels for creators to share, as well as find resources and connect with Beta Readers, Brit Pickers, and more! Discord is also the fastest way to get information and connect with the mods. Join us today! https://discord.gg/MbE7d4RUeE

Random Jedi thing
It's not just Force sensitive foundlings that the Jedi would help, they're just the ones Jedi could get to fastest and the ones that they're usually allowed to keep. I would like to imagine that the Jedi temple and any and every Jedi operated area, such as wherever the corp jedi operated or whatever, acted as a safe havens and had baby boxes available. Jedi knights stationed in heavily populated areas might be prodded via the Force to make semi regular little laps through quite possibly awful areas hoping to find nothing but frequently finding abandoned or lost children or even teeny, tiny babies. Or breaking up fights or stopping people from being robbed or assaulted. And maybe the Force helps them accelerate finding good homes for the kids that they can't keep. A trainee Jedi shadow mission might be doing welfare checks on those kids the Jedi have placed via the Force. The Jedi absolutely are not attached to each and every foundling they've placed over the centuries but each and every one of such children just happen to have an extra gift from nowhere in particular on their name day and when they're older find pamphlets for scholarships and apprenticeships that they're suited for that no one admits to giving them. There's definitely not an entire server in the archive dedicated to the records of the children that they've placed and that they definitely don't keep an eye on as they grow. And there is no secret vault with macaroni art and finger paintings and baby pictures. Nope, no attachment here!

Planning to sell physical or digital products online and want to create a website for it in the FASTEST way?
If you're starting your e-commerce journey and feeling overwhelmed by all the platform options—don't worry, you're not alone. Two names dominate the conversation: Shopify and WordPress (with WooCommerce).
But which one is truly better for newbies, beginners, and dropshippers looking to launch fast and sell efficiently?
Let’s break it down and get straight to the point—especially if you're here to build a business, not fiddle with tech headaches.
Shopify: Built for E-Commerce from the Ground Up
Shopify is a dedicated e-commerce platform. That means everything from product setup to payments, themes, and shipping is purpose-built for one thing: selling online.
Why Shopify is Great for Beginners
Zero Coding Required: Just drag, drop, and start selling. Perfect for people who want results, not tutorials.
3-Day Free Trial: You can start today and be up and running in hours.
Sign up for Shopify’s FREE trial with this link -
https://shopify.pxf.io/QjzmOa
Fast Setup: No plugins, no server setup, no manual installation. Just sign up and start building.
Designed for Dropshipping: Integrates easily with apps like DSers, Zendrop, CJdropshipping, and more.
Mobile-Optimized: Your store will look great on any device—without touching a line of code.
24/7 Support: Real-time help from actual people when you get stuck.

WordPress (WooCommerce): Powerful, But Not Beginner-Friendly
WordPress is an amazing platform... if you're building a blog or you’re already experienced with web development. But for e-commerce newbies, it can feel like you're building a house from scratch.
Why WordPress Might Be a Struggle for Beginners
Complex Setup: You'll need to buy hosting, install WordPress, then install WooCommerce, then configure it all manually.
Plugin Overload: Want a feature? You’ll likely need to install a plugin. And another. And another. Then update them constantly.
Security Risks: If you don’t stay on top of updates and patches, your site could be vulnerable.
Slow Support: There’s no dedicated support team—just forums or your hosting provider.
Not Built for E-commerce First: WordPress is a blogging tool at heart.
WooCommerce makes it work for selling, but it’s not seamless.
So Which One Should You Choose?
If you're:
A beginner with no coding experience,
A dropshipper who wants fast supplier integration,
Or just someone who wants to get your first product online this week, not next month...
Go with Shopify.
It’s clean, easy to use, beginner-friendly, and built to sell. You won’t waste time on tech issues—you’ll spend time building a brand.
Pro Tip: You can start with a 3-day free trial and see how easy it is. No risk, no commitment.
Sign up for a Shopify FREE TRIAL Here - https://shopify.pxf.io/QjzmOa
Manual Setup
Shopify was made for people just like you—dreamers and doers ready to launch something real.
Don’t get stuck in tech setup and plugin chaos.

do you have any tips for how to get yourself to write, and more importantly, how to like your writing? i used to be so confident and sure of my skills in writing but recently it seems like i can never put down actual words, and when i do they just come out flat. it’s the worst possible time for this to be happening too 😭 i really look up to you as a writer and admire your dedication and your ability to write consistently so if you can, help please!! 🙏
first of all thank you so much for your lovely words!!! i'm beyond flattered that i'm someone you look up to in writing, you're so kind to say so, and i've been pleased with my own consistency recently tbh. it's not always like that, i go through long stretches not being able to get myself to write, which is always frustrating and upsetting.
anyways in terms of getting yourself to write and, more importantly, to like what you're writing, here's what i've got for you my friend!
telling yourself that you're not going to care about it being perfect is the only way to get through it, i think. i do what i call 'flashdrafting' which is the fastest and shittiest version of something. i don't even pay attention to punctuation and full sentences, i just slam through stream of consciousness as much as possible without thinking about it. i get really into the groove doing that and then i move that text to the bottom half of my screen and type at the top, just retyping what i wrote into full sentences and paragraphs, adding details, etc. it helps me not overthink things too much.
i also do sprints in discord! i'm in a couple of servers with people i write with and doing those timed writing exercises helps me not only get a couple sentences out at least, it engages a communal aspect that is really helpful to me. of course this only works if you have like. a server to write with people in, but similar effects can be achieved setting a timer for five, ten, fifteen minutes etc. or just telling yourself fuck it, i'm adding 100 words to this story.
writing the parts you're excited about first can also help, i think. of course then it's a pain in the ass to go back and lay the groundwork for them or connect the scenes but sometimes that helps you realize that maybe you didn't need the parts you weren't excited about in the first place, or it'll give you motivation to get through those parts.
if you feel like you really hate what you're writing, switch to something else. that's what i do. i think it's really easy to get n one's own head with any creative endeavour, especially writing. you probably hate it mostly bc you wrote it. i end up hating a lot of the stuff i write and even if i'm lying to myself when i say it, i get through that by telling myself 'you hate it bc you wrote it, it's not that bad'
and, finally, having people to write with/get excited about writing with/hype your writing up. i cannot emphasize how critical this is. i would not have gotten anywhere in any of my projects if it weren't for the wonderful people - here, on anon or with a name attached, or in my dms, or otherwise - who are cheering me on and hyping me up and getting excited with me. it's hard to feel like your writing is garbage when someone you respect and enjoy talking to is telling you it rules, yknow? and it can be hard to build that kind of community but honestly, it's just about showing up i think. join a server if one exists, start messaging with writers you like, just start posting about your writing. building that community is like. i wouldn't be writing nearly as much as i do as often as i do if i didn't know it mattered to other people too.

I have always been an atrocious gamer. My brain has a measurable lag time between seeing/hearing something, processing what it is, and remembering how to respond. My aim is horrible. I'm easily distracted. I have trouble learning my abilities. I tried to a avoid voice chat because I didn't sound like the guy I could be through text. These days I mostly play survival city builders and farm sims (Stardew Valley is stressful.)
But back in the day I fell in love with Team Fortress 2 anyway. And stumbled into the dedicated server of clan Older Than DOS. Their main rule was "Be older than DOS or at least act like it." Basically a 25 and up server of older gamers who wanted to chill and not babysit children. I was a few years younger than the rule, but since I've interacted better with adults than other kids my entire life, I did succeed at the "or act like it" exception. We played a lot of 2Fort and whacky maps. It was a small but dedicated community of regulars. Like a favorite bar you shoot each other in the face at. We kept up for years even after I'd drifted off from playing it. Never changed my clan name on Steam. Started using OTDDeramin for usernames when Deramin was taken. Some of my fondest college memories are of hanging out with them.
I don't play games with central matchmaking systems. Fastest possible train to Misery Town where a 15 year old in a rage will detail everything that I'm doing wrong and why it's hurting the whole team and making everyone miserable. Doing your best isn't welcome. Get good or get out.
So I permanently retired from all multiplayer games. I'd rather sit around dissociating while watching my terrarium city and referencing spreadsheets. With liberal use of the pause button. My niche ecosystem was wiped out by corporate greed and control.

Which Web Hosting Is Best? A Complete Guide to Choosing the Right Hosting
In today’s digital age, launching a website is easier than ever. But one of the most critical decisions you'll make is choosing the right web hosting. Whether you're starting a blog, an eCommerce store, or a business website — your hosting can make or break your site’s performance.
In this blog, we'll explore which web hosting is best based on features, performance, and budget.
🚀 What is Web Hosting?
Web hosting is a service that allows your website to be accessible on the internet. Hosting providers store your website files on powerful servers and serve them to users when they type your domain name.
🧩 Types of Web Hosting (Which One Do You Need?)
Before we choose the "best," let’s understand the main types of hosting:
Shared Hosting – Cheapest and beginner-friendly. You share resources with other websites. ✅ Best for: Small blogs, portfolio sites
VPS Hosting (Virtual Private Server) – A step up with better performance and flexibility. ✅ Best for: Medium-traffic websites, developers
Cloud Hosting – Scalable, reliable, and good for high-traffic websites. ✅ Best for: Growing businesses, startups
Dedicated Hosting – You get your own physical server. High performance but expensive. ✅ Best for: Large enterprises, high-security needs
Managed WordPress Hosting – Specifically optimized for WordPress. ✅ Best for: WordPress users who want speed & security
🏆 Top 5 Best Web Hosting Providers in 2025
Here are the top contenders, based on speed, uptime, support, and price:
1. Hostinger – Best Budget Hosting
✅ Plans from ₹69/month ✅ 99.9% uptime ✅ Excellent for beginners and small websites ✅ Free SSL, fast LiteSpeed servers
2. Bluehost – Best for WordPress Beginners
✅ Recommended by WordPress.org ✅ Free domain for 1st year ✅ Great 24/7 support ✅ Starts at ₹179/month
3. SiteGround – Best for Speed & Support
✅ Fastest shared hosting ✅ Amazing customer support ✅ Built-in security & caching ✅ Starts at ₹249/month
4. A2 Hosting – Best for Developers
✅ Turbo servers for 20x speed ✅ Developer-friendly (Node.js, Python, etc.) ✅ Anytime money-back guarantee ✅ Starts around ₹200/month
5. Cloudways – Best for Cloud Hosting (Advanced Users)
✅ Uses AWS, DigitalOcean, etc. ✅ High-performance cloud servers ✅ Pay-as-you-go pricing ✅ Best for growing apps and businesses
🧠 How to Choose the Best Hosting for You?
Ask yourself these questions before deciding:
What’s your budget? (Shared is cheaper, cloud is premium)
Is your site growing fast? (Choose scalable options like cloud or VPS)
Are you using WordPress? (Pick managed WordPress hosting)
Do you need support? (SiteGround and Bluehost have excellent customer service)
✅ Final Verdict: Which Web Hosting is Best?
Best Budget Option: Hostinger
Best for WordPress Beginners: Bluehost
Best Performance & Support: SiteGround
Best for Developers: A2 Hosting
Best Cloud Hosting: Cloudways
There’s no one-size-fits-all answer, but with the right knowledge, you can choose the perfect hosting that matches your goals and budget.

Well, outright download piracy, or .. " back to fan subs it is! " because yes, you COULD watch the officials with (oft badly) voiced and officially translated dubs about six months to a year behind the original on Crunchyroll..
OR, you could do what the majority who watch fan-subbed anime anywhere from a few days, to week, to month from it's release in it's native country; on a fan sub service instead.
And here's a fun note to those of you unaware: some fan subs are more accurate(or true) to the original material, and especially dialogue. Just as a start.
There are dozens and dozens of sites dedicated to that kind of thing: and while english subs are the main train on most of them (and fastest to appear) dubs and other languages do often appear on those series that get the most attention especially.
As an odd extra side note related, and something else Crunchyroll isn't taking into account? This is incidentally how the site known as Rakuten viki today, started out years ago before it gained the Rakuten prefix, too: as just one example in the realm of foreign dramas.
Viki.com was a purely fan-uploaded and community translated foreign drama site, well before Rakuten put it's name on there; for years.. gathering show enthusiasts and viewers from anime to live action for over a decade before Rakuten did take notice and take up liscencing.
While Viki now deals mostly in live action television (mostly Chinese, Korean and Japanese television, though there are some others still present); animation is not excluded either.
In short.. it wouldn't take terribly much for the same to happen to any of the anime fan sub sites a great deal of viewers still use today.. and essentially put them out of business.
Just sayin'.
There's tons of places that stream fan subs for free. (Just don't lay off your ad blocker lol! That's how they pay for the server space and service.)
Oh…. Well, it’s over for Crunchyroll I guess

#Crunchyroll#this is how viki went official#just sayin#you don't have to download#there are literally dozens of sites streaming fan subs#and dubs#fyi additions
