Luffy

—When he noticed that your crying, Luffy stop from talking and remain silent, luffy will take off his hat and put it on you, "I guess we should stop talking about this thing" he said as he pull you closer to him. "so smile for me please" he said as he smile at you brightly.

Sanji

—sanji got surprise when your tears drip down your cheeks. "shit!!" He said to himself, as he tried to calm you down. "I'm sorry y/n chan, i-i didn't mean to make you cry" he said as he hug you tight, "I'm so sorry!" He said as he started to shower you with his love.

Zoro

—His eyes widened up when he saw you crying, "why are you crying?!" He said, Zoro let out a sigh and open his arms for you, "come here!" He said with some blush on his cheeks, you immediately hug him tight and buried your face into the crook of his neck.

Law

—Law didn't like it when you cry cause it hurts his feelings, "why are you crying?" He said with his cold voice, your tears begun to drip down your cheeks, "I'm sorry" you said as you cover your face, "it was you fault " he said, you started to walk away crying, when suddenly law pull you closer to him and hug you tight. "Don't you ever turn your back on me" he said. After that law started to comfort you.

Kid

—Will be surprised when you started crying Infront of him. "What did I do?" He said, kid look around seeing his crew looking. "What are you looking at?!" He said, kid look at you and touch your face, "what did I do?" He ask you. Kid let out a sigh and hug you tight. "I will never have a argument with you"

Killer

—Killer will not react at it first. "I'm sorry" you said while you were crying. Killer took off his mask. "it's ok" he said. Killer tuck your hair behind your ear. "It makes my heart ache when I see you cry" you immediately hug him tight. Killer lean closer to your face and kiss your already swollen eyes.

Here are some unique ways to get you thinking about introducing a new character through your protagonist or another well-established character in your story

In the middle of a scream-fight

In the middle of an actual fight

Running for their life and accidentally clashing into the protagonist, now they both have to run

With your hero listening in on a conversation between the new character and a well-established character

Tripping and falling over in a public space close to the protagonist

Upside down, with the new character hanging off a branch, a building, a scaffolding etc.

During a petty robbery

Catching them sneaking in or out of somewhere they were definitely not supposed to be

While depositing an insect or spider from their house and releasing it safely into the wild

Getting stuck in an elevator together

Through a minor car accident, especially if one of the characters is a bad driver

Both going to the cinema alone and being the only two in the theatre

Getting seated next to them on a transport, falling asleep and drooling on them

During a massive storm, rushing for the same small shelter

In a waiting room, having been waiting for ages

With the new character causing a public scene and complaining to an employee about something that resonates with the protagonist

During a funeral

Discovering them as a neighbour in their parents area/building, but their parents hate them

Getting a seriously important and secret package misdelivered to the new character’s house

I rarely ever see it but one of my favorite tropes of all times is when someone neurodivergency makes them immune to some sort of mental trick. Like having autism so a mind control technology made based on neurotypicals doesnt work or only partially works. Someone with no empathy being immune to a villain using empathy powers to disable the rest of the team. Just different flavors of brain chemistry being able to withstand or resist something others can't love it. Love when the fact people dont account for brains with autism or adhd or DID bites them in the goddamn ass when that means their mind control or whatever fails.
