Favorite color: Green, in pretty much any shade, but ESPECIALLY leaves back-lit by sunlight.

Currently reading: I'm between books at the moment, but I think T Kingfisher's Thornhedge is next on my list. (If anyone has recs, let me know! Bonus points if I cat get it on audiobook from Libby or Hoopla!) Last book was Grady Hendrix's My Best Friend's Exorcism.

Last song: I had The Sound of Silence stuck in my head for most of yesterday, but the last song I deliberately played was... Dessa's Good Grief.

Last series: Probably Murderbot? If you specifically want TV, then either Goon Omens (s1) or The Witcher (s1) some time in 2020.

Sweet, savory, or spicy?: Sweet, then spicy, then savory, in that order! I have a strong sweet tooth, and I like when my actual meals have a spicy kick.

Currently working on: A whole buncha things in the sewing room. Right now I'm working on fitting a couple of button-up shirt patterns and some pants, plus the long-running feanorian patch jacket (the patches are done, the jacket is... waiting until the weather cools down), smaller embroidery-and-sequin side projects, and some embroidered handkerchief projects for holiday gifts. (Not included: a near-infinite list of planned sewing projects in the form of fabric and trim sitting in boxes in the sewing room.)

I'm definitely used to hand embroidery, where I can modify and flesh out my designs as I go. But I'm hesitant to make my machine designs more complex, as that requires switching thread more often and a longer overall production time. (I say, as if doing both of these didn't take less than an hour together, vs probably 6+ hours each by hand.)

Fuckit. I'm not in the mood to fight the fit on my vest tonight, so I'm taking another, less cartoony shot at Celegorm.

Maedhros, Maglor, Celegorm and Caranthir, all cut out with minimal carnage and re-stringing beads! Still need to add backing, and give Celegorm his feather and Maglor his harp strings.

Nonzero chance that I'll going to seam rip all of these sequins. Ah, well. That purl is definitely going to come off.

Maglor is outlined! His sword is a little janky, but not bad enough for me to re-do it.

Fun fact, the purl/bullion I used for the blade is allegedly a shade of gold. It just... doesn't look it next to the other shade of gold.

A progress shot of Caranthir (and a no progress Maedhros in the corner. he's in limbo until my order of smaller sequins arrive).

I don't love the texture from securing the sequins with beads. But I'm also not getting good enough tension when I chain stitch them for that to work better. (Witness: Maedhros' thumb.)

Curufin's done! Outlined in matte rather than lipstick. I'm not really satisfied with the ink, but noooot enough to re-do it.
