Fitbit Charge 2 Full Factory Reset And Account Removal
They said it couldn't be done! Well it can and it is pretty easy to do! https://amzn.to/2PnJxZb Fitbit on Amazon UK https://amzn.to/2Dw9UG1 Fitbit on Amazon US https://amzn.to/2FiUA1b Fitbit on Amazon CA If you are fed up with your old Charge 2 tracker and are thinking of selling it or giving it to a family member, then you had better remove your account and data from the tracker! The Fitbit doesn't have a build it method of resetting the device and erasing the account information, so a little bit of user intervention is needed! You will need the following items. Your Fitbit Charge 2 tracker (or any Fitbit tracker you choose) Your device that the tracker is paired to. Access to the Internet for all devices. And a device you can view websites on. Phone/Tablet/PC etc
Make sure the devices are all powered on and connected to the Internet. On the Device you use to sync with, open the Fitbit app and let it sync at least once. This will speed up the removal later. Now on the internet connected device goto www.fitbit.com and login to your fitbit account. Now in your profile select the device you want to remove from your account and erase. Scroll to the bottom of the devices settings and choose "remove this device" Confirm your selection. Now go to the device you sync with (phone/tablet) and in the Fitbit APP force a sync by pulling down or hitting the sync icon.
This action will now take into account that you requested the device to be removed from your account. The sync action will tell the device via bluetooth that it is no longer required on this account and to "release" it. After the sync has completed, you should see the tracker now has the setup instructions on it, for the new user. After midnight the steps registered will reset also.
