I run a Call the Midwife blog, but I also run an “I’d like to jump Samuel West immediately” blog right now and I just need y’all to be okay with that. (I’ve also probably been in love with some version or other of Siegfried Farnon since my childhood…tbqh.)
Basically: this is at the moment a fan blog for tweedy, eccentric, dark-eyed, slightly hapless British chaps in stiff-collared period clothing.
You’re welcome.

Roman Polanski, Sharon Tate, and Krzysztof Komeda; photographed by Frank Edwards outside of Chasen’s in April 1968.
Krzysztof Komeda was a composer who wrote the scores for several films including The Fearless Vampire Killers and Rosemary’s Baby. He died in April 1969, apparently still suffering from the after affects of an accidental fall which occurred in December 1968.
Interestingly, original press copies of these photos incorrectly identify the location as being The Daisy nightclub, which is a location that Sharon was known to frequent.

Can you watch a perfect video too often? I don’t think so. This truly captures who Frank and Kitty are as individuals and as a couple. Wish the show had just focused on them. 😊

Kitty and Frank Moments »
Series 4, Episode 7
“Let me come with you.”
“What?”
“To New York. Now. Tonight. Start a new life, just the two of us.”
“What about your job here?”
“Harry's given me his blessing. So.. what do you say?”
“You haven't packed. That was rather short-sighted of you, Frank.”
“I didn't want to presume. ... To New York!”

Frank Edwards Advises Intending Couples About Locking Their Phones
In this age virtually everyone attaches passwords to their phones, this is for privacy. Music minister, Frank Edwards has something to say about this.
Taking to his Instagram page he noted anyone comfortable leaving his/her phone with their partner without locking, such a partner should marry them.
This is because if a partner displays such a level of trust, it shows that he or she has nothing…

Kitty and Frank's arc in season 2 of Mr Selfridge is my favorite.
How it starts with him under appreciating her, and the slow realization dawning on his face when she leaves their date that he might have just thrown away something special. Kitty sets down her marker early, that while she likes him, she knows her value and the scene where he comes to apologize and she has him purchase the expensive lotion is fun. Then later when she visits him at his work and takes the upper hand by kissing him, leaving him speechless, and the whole whiskers scene is playful and flirty. The fallout after the article where Frank is now clearly besotted with Kitty and wants to make amends. All of it is perfect and I wish we'd had more of them.

Yes, hello: I’m rewatching Mr Selfridge and you all get to have Kitty and Frank Edwards inflicted upon you because they are my favorite OTP after the Turners in CtM, okay? Okay.
Frank and his whiskers are so sexy and we love a dual gingers romance.
Also Mae Loxley is boss and I still wanna be her when I grow up. But like…with Kitty’s romantic happiness.
