It's so funny that The Scarlet Pimpernel is so notable and influential because the basic plot is that some nobles are trying to protect other aristocrats during the French Revoution.

"With great power comes great responsibility" The verse dates back to french revoution and comes directly from the 1793 French National Convention: "Ils doivent envisager qu'une grande responsabilité est la suite inséparable d'un grand pouvoir" English Translation : They [the Representatives] must contemplate that a great responsibility is the inseparable result of a great power The phrase first appeared in Amazing Fantasy #15 (1962), although attributed to uncle Ben, the earliest appearance of a direct reference to Ben telling Peter the phrase is figured to be in Spider-Man vs. Wolverine #1 (1987) : And then to Aunt May in 2021 Movie 😀 [Not so much of a spoiler it is ] Spiderman : No Way Home is a movie to be enjoyed with kids, a real fun ride @cinepolisvipmx @vivianamall #spidermannowayhome #spiderman #greatresponsibilitycomeswithgreatpower #instagood (at Viviana Mall) https://www.instagram.com/aqua_shyam/p/CYEiQZKINnq/?utm_medium=tumblr

If I had voted in the PnJ 2018
...there’s not enough time in the year personally or professionally to listen as much as I’d like to. But, if I had been asked to vote in the Pazz and Jop , this would be my ballot with points assigned. And, some albums I’d like to give a shout out to in the Lagniapppe section that just missed the cut. The dividing line between top ten and these is pretty thin. All listed below gave me a lot of pleasure amid a painful year, but these were the ones I’d truly return to again in the future. I’m not gonna list the albums that missed the cut but maybe I’ll start posting my listening habits here this year and that depends on how busy work and family keep me.

Paris: A Biography of a City & Politics of the Veil
(5/9)
Chapter 8; Intro & Chapter 1
Napoleon III adapted similar views and ideas from Napolean I, focusing on power, wealth, and sophistication. As Paris was described as “the heart of Europe”, Napoleon III began to renew and restore the lavish lifestyles that originated from Napoleon I. Paris was a city that was filled with art, music, plays, restaurants, fancy streets/architecture, that gave off a very luxurious feel. Businesses continued to grow and flourish, and the fashion industry was a huge success. Due to the high-status culture of Paris, fancy clothing and high quality fabrics became a must-have which influenced the fashion industry even more.
There are some similar aspects to French universalism and American multiculturalism, however they are not completely the same. American multiculturalism makes up a variety of different cultures and identities, unique to each individual. Despite the recognition of these differences, American multiculturalism does not completely appreciate them or allow equality to people and cutlures. French universalism recognizes and appreciates differences among different cultures, people, rights, etc., but believes that these cultures all eventually mesh within the public eye. This idea really began to take place after the French Revoution when people were considered equal, but were not treated that way.
