The thing that gets me about history and humanity is that you never know what is immortalized, and the things that will be immortalized are things you would never think.
I saw a person sharing a new tattoo, and it was one of Onfim's drawings. A boy who lived so long ago he is barely a blip now, but his drawings meant so much to people that somebody is now permanently marked in their skin with one of those drawings. Do you ever look at the things you make and just sit there and wonder if this is the thing that future people look at? Do you ever look at your art, your writing, your schoolwork, or anything that is yours and just wonder who will find it, who will fall in love with a piece of your humanity and become overwhelmed with emotion over? It's not unlikely. It's not totally unlikely that somebody will find a piece of you in the distant future and devoid of any other context of who you were will still love you because you were here. You were here, and you are still here, even hundreds or thousands of years later. Treat yourself with the same love that so many have for dear Onfim.
TRADITIONAL ARTISTS! i wanted to make sure you guys know about erasable pens- not because pencils dont exist but because they ERASE WITH HEAT! so if you do a sketch in purple and ink it over in nice contrasting black so you're sure you got every line, you can hit that puppy with a heat gun for like 10 seconds and the sketch instantly vanishes
mello and near are both princesses regarding a bath/shower. they both take hours without regard to the water bill, to which matt complains and asks what they even do to take so long. near will just sit and play with his bath toys, and mello has a very long shower routine that should not take as long as it does.
im a battered plush and just one time id like someone to see me and take me home and take the time to clean me and mend my tears and fluff my fur, not brand new looking but nice. loved. its been so many years of stitching up my own tears and sitting here waiting and im tired
I think more people need to hear that not everyone needs to wash with soaps and cleansers (besides your hands which come into contact with more pathogens and also touch our eyes/mouths), water and a gentle scrub with your hands or a soft cloth is gonna be just fine most of the time, especially if you have dry or sensitive skin.
I find that when my pits get too stinky for just water and I have to use soap/cleanser on them, I'm more likely to get bo sooner and worse after, and I have to scrub them and use deodorant more between showers until everything resets.
nothing wrong with soap and cleansers but it really feels weird and like a marketing scam that they're treated like using them once or twice a day on your face and body is the default, when just washing with water makes more sense as a default and doesn't have the risk of causing sensitivities or damaging your skin barrier.
felt ill abt smthn for a sec then i was like nah i'ma sit back and enjoy what i can only imagine will be an epic explosion of sorts which is never a good thing
So you could handle those sole tickles while oiled and toe tied? Because you said the tickles with the fingers look soft, so you should be able to handle it, right?

I guess if I’m tied up like that I have no choice right?✨💖🔥
an old lady came in today, followed by a frantic and hovering younger woman
Old Lady (to my coworker): “Can you see about a book I had placed on reserve?”
Younger Woman (to OL): “Ma’am, are you sure you’re alright?”
OL (to coworker): “I think it was in last week, but I didn’t get a phone call...”
YW (to OL): “I have my insurance card in my truck, are you sure you’re okay?”
OL (to coworker): “Oh, do you have a paper towel? I’ve gotten mud on your counter... I just got hit by a car.”
Me and my coworker, who had been trying to parse this relationship: “?!?!?!?!?!!?”
The Younger Woman had side-swiped the Older Lady in the parking lot and knocked her down, and the Older Lady’s priority was literally the book she put on hold. O_O
