OK... so bare with me here...
The Fifteenth Doctor jimmies with time/space just enough to recreate Poppy (who was the creation of the Rani in Wish World to begin with)... and during that process he messes with cause and effect across the timeline and universe enough that 13 drops in to complain (like the neighbor who is friendly but has to work in the morning and the noise is disturbing her)... and he decides to *spoiler her* about a huge emotional part of her TimeLord life...
And then she just leaves - presumably back to the timeline she originated from which might or might not have been irreparably altered in a timey-whimey way let alone in a spoilers kind of way...
so where in her timeline for 13 return to... and how does that change how we read the events which "follow" in her era?
She's wearing her original suspenders so it must be her first or second season, right? So that means she knew about her own feelings for Yaz AND that she would never actually say I love you, for all that season. Does she think it's cast in stone that she won't say it? Does she think she can't say it because it would change the future?
Where is Kathryn Janeway when you have a good time travel paradox headache???
"the future is the past, the past is the future, it all gives me a headache" - Captain Kathryn Janeway, Future's End

My missive about Picard:
What the bleep happened?
I have seen less slop in a pigpen.
I was all excited for a season of gratuitous Star Trek IV references and Q shenanigans. I got a season of Picard’s mommy issues. There were some Star Trek IV references, some pretty epic ones. Rios’s “I’m from Chile but I work in outer space” line was brilliant. The bus scene with Raffi and Seven was great. I loved Rios the space dad and Teresa and her little boy. I loved young Guinan. I liked Agnes until she became the Borg queen which is a whole new level of WHAT. But hey, we did discover Alison Pill has serious pipes. Jeri Ryan and Michelle Hurd are great together. And, I liked the nod to Janeway in Seven picking up a coffee habit.
But Q. What the heck? What the EVER LOVING HECK?
Q is not bitter and vengeful. Q turns Beverly Crusher into an Irish Setter. Q brings a mariachi band onto the Enterprise bridge. Q turns the entire Enterprise senior staff into Robin Hood characters to make Picard confess his feelings for an old flame. Q is all-powerful and smug about it. He’d be insufferable if he weren’t so darn hilarious. Q does absurd things to force you to confront things you’d rather avoid.
The final scene where Q sacrifices himself to send Picard’s crew home, and where Picard hugs him, should have been great. But honestly I’d almost forgotten about Q up to that point because we’d spent three episodes in Picard’s head. Picard and Q hadn’t really done the work to mend their fences and make that scene believable. It felt like the writers all looked at each other and said, “Shoot, we forgot about Q! He’s dying! We need to wrap this up fast!”
Q and Picard are some of the greatest foils ever to appear on television. It was a huge disservice to the characters, the actors, and the fans to have the relationship end like this. Picard and Q deserved better, and so did those of us who have loved them for 30+ years.
