Sage Garam was a Nine-Tailed Fox with an epic story about how he woke up from his slumber as a statue and had saved a small child named Dallae from two trouble-seeking men.

What a grand entrance that was! Even though Garam did receive praises from the townspeople, in his eyes, that was nothing compared to meeting the woman who seemed to be the mother figure of Dallae.

The woman was beautiful and tender beyond comparison. Her eyes always had an air of gentleness, even when scolding those who have done wrong. She also had a certain radiance that drew others to her.

This particular day, the woman called the Sage and Dallae to spend time with her and weave a wreath of flowers. Though the small child had a knack for creating beautiful arrangements, the Sage was… less than successful.

He often found himself “forgetting” how to string the flower petals together and making more mistakes than he thought possible.

But it was more than obvious to Dallae that the Sage had some other motive. She thought that he was making “mistakes” just to spend more time alone with the beautiful woman. And boy, was she right!

Garam was smitten by the woman; he admiringly looked at her every time she turned her back, wondering what it would be like to be able to stay by her side, forever.

And even though this could not last forever, the Sage will cherish these moments with the woman and the child forever.
