HPCET (Himachal Pradesh Common Entrance Test) 2017 is conducted for admission into technical and professional courses in institutions located in Himachal Pradesh. The HPCET 2017 Application Process starts from June 1, 2017 and continues till June 25, 2017.

The HPCET 2017 Application fee is Rs 1550/- for General/Unreserved Category and Rs 1400/- for SC/ST/BPL Category.

HPCET 2017 – Eligibility Criteria

The eligibility criteria of an exam are some necessary conditions and norms of the exam that are required to be followed by the candidates. Aspirants of the exam must fulfil the conditions set for the exam by the organising body. It must be ensured that before applying for the exam, candidates must check themselves with the eligibility norms as set by the authorities. If the candidate is ineligible, he/she should not apply for the exam. The eligibility conditions for the HPCET 2017 are been given below.

Candidates appearing for this exam must have passed the Class 12th or other equivalent qualifying exam from a recognised board of education.

Candidates must have passed the 12th class qualifying exam from a recognised board of education with physics and mathematics as the compulsory subjects with 45% marks (40% for reserved candidates).

HPCET 2017 – Application Form

For taking part in the entrance exam, the application form needs to be submitted to the HPTU. The application form for the HPCET 2017 exam is to be filled online before the last date i.e. 1st week of May 2017. The candidates can find the link to apply for the exam in the following section of the article. Apart from that, the process to apply for the exam has also been given below. The application form can be filled and submitted online as well as offline. All the applicants should go through them before they submit the exam forms.

Online Method:

Candidates must apply for the HPCET 2017 by clicking on the link above. The application form is not available now but it will be available in the month of March 2017.

Candidates must fill the application form and the details asked in it such as the personal details, educational qualification details and other details.

After that, the candidates must pay the form fee using debit/credit card (online mode) or e-challan (offline). The details are as follows.

For general candidates: Rs.1250

For SC/ST/BPL candidates: Rs.1100

The form can then be submitted by clicking on the SUBMIT button.

Offline Mode:

The HPCET 2017 form can be obtained from the HPTU campus. It must be filled and submitted to the university before the last date. The application fee payment must be done via e-challan payment.

HPCET 2017 – Exam Pattern

The exam pattern of an exam refers to the basic details of the question paper. This includes the things like the number of questions in the paper, the type of questions, the time duration allowed for the exam, the marking scheme and other important details related to the exam. These details are important and must be known by all the candidates before they start the exam preparation. Find the exam pattern in the following section:

The exam will be conducted in the offline mode.

The HPCET 2017 exam paper will be in the English language.

The type of questions asked will be objective type questions.

Negative marking is applicable.

2 marks will be awarded for each correct answer and ½ marks will be deducted for each incorrect answer.

HPCET 2017 – Admit Card

The admit card of the HPCET 2017 exam will be released in the first week of May 2017. The admit card is a very important release associated with the exam as the document will be required at various stages of the exam and admissions. Candidates must download the admit card from the official website of the HPTU, where it will be made available. Please note that if a candidate fails to bring the admit card on the exam day, then he/she shall not be permitted to sit for the written exam and hence the selection process.

HPCET 2017 – Result

The result for the HPCET 2017 exam will be declared in the 2nd week of June 2017. The result will also be released on the official website of the exam and we shall be providing link to check the same on this page. Candidates will be required to view their results by entering their registration details on the official site of HPTU. The link to check the result will also be posted here when it will be available. According to the result of the written exam, the counselling sessions will be conducted which will form the basis of the final selection of the candidates.

HPCET 2017 Result

The HPCET 2017 Result is announced once the HPCET 2017 Examination for admission to the B.Tech/ M.Tech program is over. The HPCET 2017 Result is declared on May 30, 2017. HPTU (Himachal Pradesh Technical University) has released the HPCET 2017 Answer key at 5 p.m. on the day of the engineering examination in their official website i.e. on May 14, 2017.
