When you accidentally ask your "daddy" to give you salad.

Your dad never liked Hanma. He knew that your boyfriend was bad for you, bad for everyone he came to be in contact with but it never stopped you. Hanma was too fascinating for you to stay away from.

Hanma was like a magnet that pulled you towards him and he knew it.

Hanma had argued with your dad for many times just to go out with you. Hanma was the type to get what he wanted every time and no old man was going to stop him.

One thing that he was sure was that everything would come crumbling down if your father found out that you called Hanma daddy while being alone.

Hanma liked to call you princess, darling and kitten. You called him master, daddy, and love. Only one of those nicknames was appropriate and you both knew that.

Once you two were having dinner and you made the mistake to ask daddy to give you the salad. Your dad was going to give it to you but Hanma was faster. The realization you both had at the same moment was horrifying. Your dad and mom were looking both of you with surprised and disgusted faces. Hanma was rubbing his neck and regretting his life choices while you were digging your own grave. Your little sister was looking confused at the two of you.

"(Name) what does this mean? You call him daddy!?" Your dad looked furious but then he cracked a smile.

"Bahaha! That's fucking hilarious!" Your dad laughed at you two. You were speechless, so was Hanma.

"Dad, you aren't mad?" You were asking with wavering voice and he shook his head.

Your mom was a different story. She was staring at you two with wide eyes. She looked like she was going to faint at any given moment.

"Disgusted maybe, but this was the most hilarious and unexpected thing to happen. I should have known!" Your dad couldn't stop laughing at you two.

You and Hanma started to relax until.

"Mommy, why does (name) call her boyfriend daddy?" Your little sister asked and Hanma was ready to answer her but you stepped on his foot to silence him.

"Forget it." Your mom mumbled before starting to eat again.

Chapter 3

"It's Friday so dad won't be home,wanna go hang out at the park?" She asked looking at him, he relaxed hearing that their father won't be home for the night and nodded "Shu what do you want for your birthday??" 

"Huh?" 

"It's your birthday next week,  do you want anything?" 

He stared at the ground holding onto the straps of his bag, she had been working and been helping around the neighbourhood to earn money for them. "Come on bud it's your birthday " 

"..."

"You like batman right? Wanna have a movie night and watch that?" 

He gave her a nod still not looking at her, she stopped walking and made him look at her "You're overthinking again, you know I love you" she moved his hair from his eyes

"I'll give you the best birthday "

He wrapped his arms around her, hugging her as he teared up. She rubbed his back letting cry, his birthday was always hard but she tried her best to always make them smile. The two had learned to avoid their father during this week, he was more tense during the week.

 "So this is your brother " 

"Shit" 

She really didn't mean to punch him, he just surprised her and she swung her fist at him. Shinichiro held the tissue to his bleeding nose while the (Y/n) kept apologising for punching him. Kezio and Wakasa didn't seem surprised that she had punched him. 

Shuuji was by his sister's side looking at the boy she had punched, were they her friends? Could he trust them? Were they as nice as Lee? The Shinichiro guy looked at him and grinned " You're Shuuji right? " 

"..."

"I'm Shinichiro… I'm friend's with your sister "

This shocked both the Hanma siblings as they stared at the pompadour haired boy. Shuuji was happy that his sister was making friends,  even if he didn't really trust these guys just yet. This guy seemed to care about his sister.

"Take care of my sister!" 

Shinichiro grinned at the boy nodding at the kid "I promise I'll be a good friend " he vowed before looking at (Y/n) who looked like she was lost " How's your nose?" 

"Huh?... its fine" 

".. Thanks for walking us home " 

"Can't let you get jumped again"

Shinichiro insisted on helping the girl buy groceries and walk her home, Shuuji was a good kid. He was protective of his sister and at first Shinichiro had to keep his distance but he had managed to gain the boy's trust. She unlocked the door, immediately placing the bags on the floor. "Sorry my Father he's strict…." 

She didn't want to get Shinichiro involved if her father came home, she took Shuuji from Shinichiro. He poked her head when he noticed her over thinking again "told you it's no big deal, I'll see you Monday?"

"Bye Shin"

She locked the door behind Shinichiro before tucking Shuuji into his bed. She had to put away the groceries before she could start doing her homework. She was busy putting away when she heard the door unlock, she studied her surroundings checking for any exit. She moved quietly and quickly to her room. 

"It's his fault you know"

Shit when he follow her, she stood in front of the door protectively. He was drunk with cheeks flushed, she could smell it on him. He stumbled towards her barely being able to walk. "It's his fault!"

"Go to bed, you're drunk" 

She grunted when her body slammed into the door. "Admit it! You hate him!" He yelled hovering over the girl, she glared up at him "No mom wanted Shu!" 

Miss Amelia had always tended to wounds of criminals, she said everyone had the right to be treated to medical attention. Sure some delinquents she treated were pretty young and she always lectured them for causing trouble,  she made sure her clinic was a safe place for anyone. It was a neutral turf and no delinquents would cause trouble out of respect. 

This wasn't the first time the girl showed up with injuries , always claiming she had gotten into a fight or she fell.  The brunette didn't believe the girl, no she couldn't have such bad luck that she would be here once a week at least. (Y/n) always brought her brother along too, maybe something was going on at home. Did the two live alone maybe??

"How did you dislocate it again?" 

"I fell down the stairs…"

Amelia frowned not believing a word the girl came in a while ago, how (Y/n) had managed to bring her brother along was a mystery. "You have to spend the night...I'll set up beds for you two" 

The white haired boy popped his head into his office "Miss Am-....(Y/n)?" Didn't Shinichiro walk her home? What was she doing here? His eyes landed on her shoulder, she had a sling on and her shoulder looked bruised. He was sure that his friend made sure the girl was safe, did someone break into her house?

After helping Amelia guide the girl and her brother to their beds, he stayed behind staring at (Y/n). She shifted in front of him "What?" 

"What happened"

"I fell down the stairs " 

Bull shit, she did look like some who fell off the stairs,did  someone hurt her? Why was she protecting them? He couldn't be the only one who had suspicions, she showed up to school with a bruised nose and now this.

"You're friends with (Y/n)?"

Wakasa turned around facing the doctor "Something like that" he didn't know much about her, other from rumours and from what he learned today. "Do you know if someone is hurting her?"

"She was fine when Shinichiro dropped her off"

Chapter 5

Hanma x older sister reader x Black dragon

Shinichiro's last image before passing out was (Y/n) jumping on her father trying to get the older man off him. He heard a grunt of pain and the girl yelped when her body hit the ground. Shuuji had run off, hopefully to hide and stay out of this, he heard the door before everything went black. He wished that he didn't skip those lessons, maybe he could have knocked the father out, and made sure that the Hanma siblings were safe.

When he woke up he was being pushed on a stretcher, he was with the ambulance. When did they arrive?? He immediately sat up ignoring the protests of the paramedics. (Y/n) was holding

Shuuji sitting on a stretcher, she was covered in bruises and blood. He hoped that it wasn't hers,he noticed her father being pushed into another ambulance followed by some police officers.

It seemed that she was busy answering questions that the officers and paramedics were asking her. Shuuji stayed quiet while clinging onto his sister, shaking his head when someone tried taking him from her.

"Could we ask you some questions?"

An officer asked, looking at Shinichiro in concern. The black haired boy nodded hesitantly "We need to know what happened" 

"I understand if it's hard to answer, but Mr Hanma was stabbed by his daughter, we need to confirm that she was protecting you and her brother"

"I remember her trying to pull him off me"

He explained how (F/n) had come home drunk and started a commotion, from accusing his daughter of sleeping with Shinichiro, to how Shuuji was the reason the mother died. Shinichiro blocked the father from hitting Shuuji, the man's anger turned towards the teen boy. Before Shinichiro could blink, the man was punching and kicking him.

He did his best to get the older man off him, even (Y/n) and Shuuji had tried to pull their father off. Shinichiro had managed to land a few hits on the older man but he was overpowered and pinned down.

News spread quickly about the Hanma family, the father's neglect and abuse towards his children. Doctors and psychiatrists had confirmed that the children had lived under their father's aggressive behaviour.

Some justified (Y/n) for stabbing her father, saying she was protecting the people around her from the man. She had years of abuse; it was only a matter of time for her to snap. 

Others sided and said she didn't have the right to stab him, he was her father. She should have told an adult, instead of staying quiet. 

Shinichiro felt bad because the authorities had decided to separate the siblings for the investigation. They were only allowed to see each other under supervision, while they were under temporary protection. 

Shinichiro tried to check in on (Y/n) whenever the family who's care she was placed in allowed him. They were a sweet elderly couple, who had raised and adopted a lot of children who dealt with trauma.  

(Y/n) seemed lost without her younger brother, Shinichiro had never seen her look so scared. He tried his best to comfort the girl, letting her cling onto him while she cried. She always had this smile whenever she was allowed to see her brother. 

While Shuuji seemed happy to be in a loving house, he hated being separated from his sister. He spent most of his time in his room, refusing to leave the little safe space. The family that he was placed under adored the young boy but understood his attachment towards his sister, she was the one who had protected him for all these years. 

The day of the court hearing both the children had to testify about what had happened. The business of the court began, the whole crowd stood when the judge entered the room, greeting the man who will be hearing the allegations of the Hanma case. The room remained quiet as the council gave their names for the record. 

The judge then proceeded to ask the girl a series of questions from the script document in front of him. 

"Full name?"

"Hanma (Y/n) " 

"Age?" 

"14 " 

After she had answered all of the questions, the judge had called the council to him to 

The attorney who was defending the Hanma siblings was determined to drill the father, he stood in front of the man clearing. 

"You've been accused of the first degree felony offence of injury to a minors causing serious bodily harm"

"Investigator noted that the minors, 14 year old Hanma (Y/n) and Sano Shinichiro, had been transported to the hospital via ambulance. Doctor Hiro Amelia had noted that this wasn't the first time Hanma (Y/n) had been treated for such serious injuries, the girl showed up to her office multiple times through the years

Deputy officer Matsuoka Rin reported that he had arrived on the scene to find Hanma (F/n) beating Hanma (Y/n) and that others had to pull him off the girl. Fumio Kaede had reported after Hanma Shuuji ran over begging for help, the boy begged Fumio Kaede to help his sister. Officer Matsouka accompanied them to the hospital and spoke to a registered nurse who gave more information on the injuries of the complainants 

Those injuries include; Hanma (Y/n) had a dislocated shoulder, fractured ribs, bruising on the face and major swelling around the neck,  Sano Shinichiro had fractured ribs,  bruising to the chest and  broken nose. Hanma Shuuji bruising on the face, arms and legs. " 

(F/n) jumped from his seat pointing towards his daughter, accusing her of stabbing him with a knife. 

"Hanma (Y/n) had acted when you attacked Sano Shinichiro.”

"(F/n) is found guilty for child endangerment and neglect. Hanma (F/n) will be sentenced for 10 years. All parental rights have been removed." 

(Y/n) felt her world freeze when she heard that her father would be sent away. Her hands gripped onto the chair, they would finally be safe and away from their father.

"Hanma (Y/n) has been sentenced with assult in the act of self defense, she will sent to Juvenile Rehabilitation,where she will be housed for the next six months" 

The girl froze looking up, she expected to be sent longer.  But she would happy accept the 6 months. She looked over at her brother giving him a reassuring smile. 

"Be good okay Shu" 

Shuuji teared up, moving to jump up from his seat, Shinichiro moved to grab him. Pulling the boy to his chest, rubbing his back, comforting the young boy. "It's okay I've got you, we'll visit her okay?" 

“Take care of eachother while I’m gone, ‘Kay?”

“Okay, Nee-chan.”

"How are you adjusting (Y/n) ?" 

"It's hard, everyone keeps telling me that I need to let go and be a kid…"

It wasn't easy sitting down and relaxing when she had to make sure that there was food and that Shuuji was safe. She was always busy in the house, from making them meals,  to helping Shuuji with his homework. 

"It takes time to heal…-" 

"I miss Shuuji, when can I see him?" 

It was hard for her not seeing her brother,  it was always just the two of them against the world. She missed the stories he made up, how he would grin when he showed her his tests. 

"Hanma…" 

"I'm sorry" 

The woman sighed, placing a hand on the girls head "you don't have to apologise, I know it's hard but you want to get better for him right?" 

The girl nodded determinedly

"I'll get better for Shu"

Chapter 4

Wakasa had tried to pry any information from the girl, she had kept saying the same story. 'I fell down the stairs' even her brother would say a word about what had happened. After hours of trying he figured that if he couldn't pry it from the girl, maybe Shinichiro could figure out what was happening. 

He stepped out of the building and pulled out his phone, dialling Shinichiro's number. "Hey .. huh yeah I'm fine. No something happened.. calm down. It's (Y/n) … she got jumped again.  At Amelia's" 

Maybe he shouldn't have called up the black haired boy, of course he'd rush over to Amelia's. It didn't take long for the boy to show up "Is she okay!? "

"She dislocated her shoulder "

Shinichiro frowned, he already suspected that something was wrong, she seemed to always have an excuse whatever she had gotten hurt. This confirmed his suspension, she was being hurt by someone. 

'Sorry my Father he's strict….' 

Did her father hurt her? Shuuji didn't seem to have any injuries,but he seemed just as protective of (Y/n). Did she take the hits instead? He hoped it wasn't her father that hurt her.  Maybe this was a huge misunderstanding. 

" You fell down the stairs??" 

"Yeah? I'm fine really" 

"But what about your dad"

"You think he hurts me? He's never home, always away busy at work"

Shinichiro stared at the girl trying to look for any hint that she was lying, every fibre within him told him that she was hiding something. He sighed shaking his head "Stay with me tonight" 

"Huh?" 

"Spend the night at my house, we got plenty of place and you'll be safe at least "

It would be safer to stay somewhere else, especially with the mood her father would be in. She let out a sigh and gave him a nod which caused the boy to smile at her. "Want to go pick up stuff from your house?" 

Right they needed to get clothes at least. Dad shouldn't be home, he would be at work.  Shinichiro helped the girl off the bed and smiled at her brother "You'll get to meet Mikey. He's younger than you" 

Shinichiro waited with Shuuji waited in the kitchen while (Y/n) was packing bags for them. "You're Nee-san's friend right?" 

"Huh yeah?" 

"..."

"Shuuji what's wrong?" 

The young boy glanced at him in hesitation before looking back at the stairs nervously "Shuuji is someone hurting your sister ?" Shinichiro asked, kneeling down to the boy's height, "Can you tell me?" 

Shuuji shook his head immediately when he heard his sister coming down the stairs. Shinichiro noticed and moved to grab the bags from her "I can-" 

"You can barely move your arm" 

"Bu-" 

"No"  

The grandfather watched the girl Shinichiro brought home talking to her brother and the younger sano siblings. Shinichiro didn't say much just saying he was worried about his friend staying alone. "You said she had gotten hurt before?" 

Shuuji seemed to try and hide behind his sister as the blonde boy interrogated her. Questioning why she was friends with his brother and why she would be friends with him. "He wanted to be friends after I helped him" 

"But you look cool! "

"Huh?" 

"You like a superhero!"

This caused the girl to start laughing at the blonde boy "Yeah but don't go tell anyone else okay?" She winked, smiling at the blonde who just stared at her amazed. "You gotta be friends with me then!" 

 

"Too late she's mine first "

"Nuhuh she's mine!"

Shuuji watched his sister laughing, he felt happy that she was enjoying herself. But both the boys were wrong, she was his sister and if they wanted to be her friend. They had to be able to protect her. 

The whole weekend (Y/n ) watched the Sano house hold, how they acted. They all seemed to get along, Mikey seemed to love picking on Shinichiro and influenced Emma to join in along with them. It was peaceful and quiet,  she felt out of place. 

Emma seemed to like the girl while Mikey and Shuuji were busy running around, the young girl wanted to hang out with her. (Y/n) was happy that her brother finally came out of his shell and played.

"Hey I'm going to go out, can Shu stay here?" 

"Where are you going?" 

"I wanna go buy Shu his gift for his birthday "

"Let me go with you" 

"I don't need a babysitter"

How could she lose an argument with him? She watched him checking out the toys in the aisle with a small grin, picking up a few to show to her "You said he likes Batman right?" 

"Yeah, he wants to be like him'

There was this feeling in her gut all day, something was off. She decided to skip a few days letting her shoulder heal, Shinichiro was kind enough to bring her work from school and let her borrow his notes. 

She hoped that Shuuji would enjoy the cake and gifts. She spent the entire morning baking him a cake and had wrapped his gifts  a batman action figure along with a lion king plush. Her dad shouldn't be home until late, so that should give them enough time to celebrate and clean up before he came home. 

"Nee San, Shin Nii got me a gift!" 

She turned around looking at the older boy than towards her brother. Who was holding a Gund plush close to him. She gave them both a smile letting them inside, leading them into the kitchen. Watching how Shuuji smiled at the decorated kitchen and cake, he turned back to his sister hugging her "Thank you!" 

"Thanks Shin" 

"Huh it's no big deal "

"No, it means a lot to me.  I just want Shu to be happy" 

Shinichiro watched the two with a smile,it really seemed that two would fight against the world for each other. (Y/n) has been revealing more and more, she had admitted that their father was a drunk but nothing more than that. Takeomi had learned that (Y/n)'s father changed after his wife had passed. He despised Shuuji and blamed him for killing his wife.

"Having a party? Thought you'd invite me" 

The Hanma siblings seemed to freeze on the spot, Shinichiro body moved on his own standing in front of them protective. The man smelt like a bar and had a glint in his eye.
