The first three episodes of Babylon were released together on the weekend. And after watching them, I'm not entirely hooked. Babylon is based off a novel series by Mado Nozaki. He's also written screenplays for Seikaisuru Kado, and the anime film Hello World, which came out last month. I did watch the former, and it started off quite promising, but fell off midway. Hello World, going by the reviews, also wasn't exactly that exciting. Babylon has also started off quite promisingly, and as to how it will go, we'll have to wait and see. The story is a suspense/mystery. It has all these little bits and pieces that are slowly creating a bigger picture. There have been a couple of surprises, in the first three episodes, so I am a little interested to see it all goes. But I just have this feeling that I may be left slightly disappointed. It is just a feeling mind you. There's denying the animation. It's clean, fluid, and beautiful. I have no issues which the main character either. Yutaka Yamada composing is definitely a plus. But I'm just not entirely convinced in regards to the story. I have neither read the novels or the manga adaptation. Maybe someone who has, can enlighten me if it's worth my time.

I’ve seen 16 minutes of the first episode and I’m freaking out ‘cos my intuition is SCREAMING that I was right about death count (when I saw the poster).
So, these four are now in my “cute guys, I hope at least one of them will survive” list. The first row are less likely. The last one is… quite likely but I want that one to live. Sly, very likable guy.
16 minutes into the show and I’ve already stopped to post. Definitely recommended anime.
