What if Dragon's Lair was the first game to have a deaf and non-verbal protagonist and we just didn't know it?
#I thought about it once and now I can't disprove it#I mean think about it;#you can probably play the game without the audio#sometimes in the second game you have to ignore all the audio in order to focus on what's happening#He doesn't listen or answer people who are directly talking to him#he's the only character who doesn't speak in the second game#He doesn't seem to understand when people are shouting at him#He doesn't say actual words that often-but if he does he stammers or resorts to words that are basically just sounds like 'uh-oh' or 'wow!'#(not that stammering means anything-it just shows that he's unsure of himself)#Not to mention that he always screams and squeals in scenes where he's supposed to sneak and be quiet like he's not aware of himself#and his volume is what wakes Singe#Like I know it's likely not intended because of the first games budget reasons#but still#???#dragon's lair#deaf hc#dirk the daring
