So I like... I really don't know how I feel about the whole bi-regeneration thing.
Something that sours it for me is like... I was so upset that we were only gonna get the 3 eps with 14 and Donna - ideally for me we would have had a whole season or even a half-season to do them justice. It made me sad that I'd have to say goodbye to them so soon. Tho I did take comfort in that there'd basically be an open invitation for Donna cameos in the future, in a similar way to the Kate Stewart and Unit ones.
HOWEVER. Now??? As much as I fucking adore Donna and David Tennant as the Doctor... I kinda never wanna see them on screen again??? Cause I feel like it sorta cheapens the concept of the 15th Doctor and all the other future adventures he'll have. It was one thing with Tentoo cause he was banished to another universe and was limited to a mortal's lifespan. But having two fully fledged Doctors??? Both with Tardises??? In the same universe???
It doesn't just cheapen the 15 Doctor and all future Doctors, imo it also cheapens David Tennant himself. Because there's a bittersweet beauty in letting go. In saying goodbye. Of accepting the next phase in life. The bi-regeneration doesn't do that. There's no closure. There's no faint loss accompanying the joyous rebirth. It's just.
It just feels very emotionally hollow.

About the thirteenth doctor:
I love the psychology in doctor who...
I mean, if the doctor's past regeneration did something, or something had happened to him/her, the next one is shaped in a way to deal with it...a new life, a new chance to make things right...
For example, 9 was a warrior. He had just blown up his people. He wasn't thinking so much about saving lives as much as he did winning the war, or deafeating the villain...
And so 10, regretting that behaviour, became a hero, counting every life lost and trying to save every single person...
But, his actions inspired others to do the same no matter what the cost. His "children of time" as Davros said. He learnt that being a hero meant one day giving your life for a cause...and he could do so much more... heartbroken, he regenerated into a man tired of losing everything, but so long, trying to hide his pain in humor and fun...someone "laughing on purpose to hide his heartache"...11
But then, 11, (who's actually a survivor if you think about it, since he was probably his longer regeneration...from 900 and something to 2000 old...) put the ast behind him and tried to be a part of a family as he once was...the Ponds, River, even in Trenzalore...but family means sticking together til the end, it means saying goodbye when the end comes...and so it did...and out of nowhere, when the doctor had spent so many years as 11, he regenerated into 12
A wiser man, who even looks wise. And as an old man he finds hobbies to keep his young, like his guitar. He knows who he is, he knows what he should do, he embraces all his past regenerations and concludes that he is strong, wise, sassy, not a hero nor a warrior, but just someone who's trying to do the right thing and above all he tries to be kind... but that man, lost everyone he had ever loved. He said so many goodbyes...River, Clara...even Bill and Nardole...his battlefield is empty...
And so we reach 13... she's keeping the promise she made as 12... she's laughing hard with her new friends, never missing a chance to be quirky because what's the fun in fighting villains if you can't make a bit fun of them along the way? She's running fast, but this time, the other way around. She's not running away. I noticed that so much. She's running towards everything even if it's chasing her. She's kind, especially to Ryan. And, something that really stood out: she's worrying. One thing she kept repeating: "I'll keep you safe", "I'll bring you home". That's the impact 12's losses had on her...
