Head cannon time!

Izaya, our dear flea boy bastard loves to paint. He doesn't talk about it and hides it from almost everyone.

I imagine that he loves painting abstract. Just because so many people look and see something different. He finds it fascinating how something can be interpreted in so many ways.

I believe he also has this beautiful habit of painting Shizuo in strange ways. Like almost blurs. Someone would look at it and think it's the sun or a fire burst of destruction. He loves to paint the way he dreams of him (yes he dreams of Shizuo). He paints close ups of his face giving strange expressions. Of course the rare ones he paints where Shizuo is smiling or giving that loving look, he hides for his eyes only.

Shizuo knows he paints. He has never seen him in action because he doesn't like for anyone to watch him work. Shizuo is in love with every piece of course. He doesn't understand most of them and the ones of himself he finds very strange but it flaters him to no end to know Izaya paints him.

One day maybe Izaya paints a full body Shizuo for his birthday. One that is a bit more clear and beautiful. Of course Shizuo is embarrassed, taken aback and yet totally in love with it. Izaya has a blush as Shizuo kisses him and holds him tight. That picture is tucked away somewhere special though. Only Shizuo is allowed to see it.
