What things will come

Failure it had all ended in failure and now it was on them to go back to the start again. Myde was so tired and the spell left him even more exhausted by the time they made it through the rift to the other side. Stepping out into the chill autumn air. It didn’t even initially look like they were in the right place either.
Myde had said he was taking them back to Daybreak before the war. But this couldn’t have been the right place right? There were only a few huts here and there and it looked like mostly a very small farming community at best. Even the clock tower wasn’t the monumental thing it would become in later years. Now it was a simple structure of similar styling to the bigger version but much more primitive. And that was exactly what Myde had landed them on top of. The observation deck of the building near the top.
The siren suddenly slumped to the ground panting as he laid his head back some and let Xigbar get a good look at the area. He knew the questions were coming. He could feel the others confusion and disappointment. “Welcome..home babe..”
He breathed out his voice a hoarse whisper, blue eyes lacking much of their usual glow from the massive amount of mana this had all taken. His head felt static-y again, every time he cast the time travel spell he lost memories. He wasn’t sure what he’d sacrificed this time to take them back but he was sure it wasn’t good.

The siren paced back and forth in their bedroom waiting for the other to join him. They’d been talking about this ‘trip’ for weeks now and he was still nervous. Ever since the other said that Fantasia was a sleeping world and they could actually access it his nerves had been on high. He wanted to go, he knew his own powers would make it that much easier to reach a sleeping world. But still going home after so many centuries was not going to be easy. He could back out if he wanted to he knew that. If he told his partner he changed his mind it would be that easy.
But no he was very determined to go home again. Even if after going through so many time lines it wouldn’t be the same home he knew he still wanted to go. When he heard the door shut he jolted out of his thoughts and smiled nervously and looked up. “We ready? Who knows how long we’ll be asleep once we go.”
