It’s a hexdriver, not a sword.
Go back to your spreadsheets, CEO, Godzilla has been defeated.
John has blocked me from the IR network while I’m stuck in this three-day meeting marathon because it isn’t a great look when I’ve got half an eye on the live feed and start trying to manage rescues during a marketing dept PowerPoint presentation.
And because they “can manage perfectly well without me hovering and in the unlikely event they need my advice or presence he’ll call direct.”
Apparently I am supposed to feel reassured by this. And not redundant at all…
He’s forgotten the mission reports get forwarded to my work email when they get saved.
So, I’m in the finance team’s year end deep dive extravaganza (or ‘YEDDE’ as the CFO keeps calling it because he thinks it sounds groovy) and am 100% focussed on the detail of the ninth spreadsheet they have sent to my tablet (and not at all on the fact they’ve formatted to 2 decimal places in one column and 3 in another and I cannot for the life of me work out the rationale for this) … I’m being a good CEO and trying not to worry about the family. Because they are grown ups and can handle it without me and whatever.
And just as one of the senior accountants is explaining why 1 + 1 does actually equal 3, an email pops up containing this:
…
…
… what happened???
I have made the executive decision that we all need a comfort break and am now pacing the corridor waiting for SOMEBODY ON THE ISLAND TO ANSWER MY CALL.
Is Gordon hurt again?! He looks dead why does he look dead? Was it the lizards again?! Is he ok??? Where did Virgil get a sword and why has nobody told him how to use it?! Has he hurt his hands? Will he ever play piano again?
JOHN GLENN TRACY ANSWER YOUR COMM RIGHT NOW OR SO HELP ME I’M GOING TO SEE HOW FAR BEYOND TRACY TWO’S TOP OPERATING SPEED I CAN GET HER TO FLY.

The Razorcrest kicked them out of hyperspace sometime during the next cycle. Despite the residual awkwardness born out of their fight, Ellia couldn’t just sit back and not help out. So, she found herself crammed into the cockpit alongside Din and the child as they tried to fix the rigging enough to get them through a full jump.
Ellia was using a hexdriver to try and tighten the bolts around the main fuel lines, while Din was working on rewiring the lightspeed board.
At one point, she heard him curse loudly, and a loud clang of metal caused her to glance over her shoulder. Din’s tool rolled across the floor as he glanced up at her with a wince.
“‘s too small” he complained, “I can’t reach”
Ellia pressed her lips together and wordlessly moved to take his place. He scrambled to move out of her way as she reached inside of the panel. She stretched her hand as far as it would go and could feel her fingers just barely reached the board itself, but it was maybe a centimeter or two beyond her reach.
Sighing, she pulled her arm back out. Looking over at Din, she wordlessly shook her head.
Din grumbled to himself again as they fell into another silence, both of them racking their brains for a solution.
From the opposite side of the cockpit, the child let out a soft squeak from where he was sitting, playing with the silver knob of the console lever.
Din seemed to watch him for a moment, before suddenly tilting his head to the side.
“This is a terrible idea.” Ellia muttered in a scratchy voice.
Getting over the shock of hearing her speak for the first time in hours, Din simply shrugged his shoulders.
“Let’s exhaust all our resources.” he suggested.
Ellia shook her head as she glanced in at the child who was happily playing around in the wire-lined panel. She heaved another heavy sight before moving back over to complete her work on the fuel lines.
A few minutes later, Din walked back over to the pilot's chair.
“All right, let’s try this again.” he flicked a few switches on the console, but nothing lit up. He looked back over his shoulder at the wall.
“Okay, did you- do you have the wire?” he called out.
An alarm suddenly flared up on the main computer, and Din quickly moved to shut it down, only for the entire panel to go with it.
“Nothing” he muttered to himself dejectedly. With a sigh, he rose from the chair again, and as Ellia kept working on the lines, her arms now sore from just how hard she was tightening the screws, Din knelt down in front of the panel with the child in it.
“Okay.” he said, “Did you get the wire out? The red wire?”
The child made a questioning noise in response, but Din shook his head.
“No, no. The red one.” he clarified, “Show me the red wire. The red one.”
The child gave off another small coo.
“Yes, good.” Din complimented, “Now, you’re going to plug that red wire where the blue wire goes in the board.”
Again, Ellia could hear the child whimper in confusion.
“Put the red wire where the blue wire goes in the board, okay?” he repeated, “But don’t let them touch. You see where you took the blue one off? Yes, now but the red one…”
There was the sound of a scuffle.
“No. Don’t put the blue one back” Din said quickly, “Put the red one where the blue one was. And put the blue one where the red one was. But be careful. They’re oppositely charged, so keep them away from each other. Make sure you hold them apart from- No! Hold them apart-”
Something sparked loudly and then came the sound of a machine dying out.
Ellia spun around quickly to see a cloud of smoke coming out of the open panel. From where he was kneeling on the ground, Din sighed in defeat. Ellia stared at him accusingly, an expression he ignored as he lifted his head back up to look at the child.
“Are you okay?”
The child coughed.
“Well, it was worth a shot.” Din muttered.
Abandoning the projects in the cockpit, the group of three gathered down in the hull together, sipping on their own separate bowls of soup. Ellia sat at the farthest end, perched on the edge of her cot. While back over by the safe room, the child and Din were propped up on top of two cargo bins.
“There’s no way we’re making it to Corvus in this shape.” Din noted lowly.
A small hiss followed his words, and Ellia’s head perked up just in time to see the helmet tilt back ever so slightly. Enough to where it still covered his face but still allowed him to take a drink from his cup.
The child tilted its head with interest while Ellia dropped her attention back to her lap.
“I think we need to visit friends for repairs.” Din continued, “How’d you like to go back to Nevarro?” he asked the child, who was quick to make an excited noise in response.
Din lifted up the helmet again to take another quick sip of his soup before securing it back in place. He looked out across the hull at where Ellia was sat, just staring at the bowl in her lap.
“What about you?” he sounded.
Ellia jumped slightly at the sound of his voice, but looked up nonetheless.
He waited patiently for any sort of response, and in the end, she nodded.

Breaking through the white clouds in Nevarro’s atmosphere, alarms continued to blare angrily as they brought the ship down towards the surface. The entire hull groaned in protest as Din slowly dropped them into the landing fields just beyond the main gates of the town.
The ramp couldn’t even unfold all the way as the three of them stepped out into the sunlight. Din walked out to the edge of it, suspended a few feet up off of the ground, having to sit down in order to push himself off. He hopped down onto the surface with a quiet grunt, the child safely in his hands. Ellia waited a beat to follow.
“Looks like someone could use some repairs.” a familiar voice suddenly piped up.
Ellia noticed for the first time that two forms had joined them in the docking fields. It was none other than Cara Dune and Greef Karga. Both of whom looked remotely unchanged since the last time they had seen each other, if not a little bit brighter.
“With the best mechanic Nevarro ever had on board, you would think that this ship would be in better shape.” Greef noted jokingly.
Ellia rolled her eyes as she pushed herself off of the ramp and onto the ground.
“This is a bit beyond what I can do with just two hands.” she admitted in a grumble.
Din went over to shake Greefs hand in a greeting,
“How’s my credit around here?” he asked.
“I think something could be arranged.” Greef answered, looking over at the woman standing to his right “Isn’t that right, Marshal?”
Cara smiled at them all, reaching over to gently pat the head of the child wrapped in Din’s arms.
“I’m sure we can work somethin’ out.” she noted.
“I’ll get my best people on it.” Greef announced before turning to look over his shoulder at the collection of mechanics at the far end of the landing field. “Hey, fellas! Let’s fix this man’s ship! I want it good as new!” he barked.
The group responded in a language Ellia didn’t understand, but she eyed them suspiciously as they approached the Crest.
“And you, come here little one!” Greef exclaimed, turning back to grin down at the child. “Has Mando been taking good care of you, huh? Have you been taking good care of him?” he asked the Mandalorian pointedly as he took the child into his own hands.
The child squeaked out an excitable response.
“Yeah? Yeah!” Greed chuckled heartily, “He said ‘yeah!’”
He turned on his heels, trudging on ahead towards the town’s mains gate. Cara turned back towards the remaining two with a smile. Ellia attempted to return it, but simply didn’t have the energy to keep it up, which caused Cara to raise an eyebrow in confusion.
The group fell into step with each other, following Greef down the main road of the Nevarrian town.
Ellia had never seen that place as lively as it was. People were walking about, talking brightly with each other as they moved through a bustling market. Everything just seemed a hell of a lot brighter than it was when they had left it.
“Looks like you two have been busy.” Din noted.
“I myself have been steeped in clerical work.” Greef interjected, “Marshal Dune here is to be thanked for cleaning up the town.”
Cara rolled her eyes, but Ellia could see the proud smile brewing on her face.
“Your ship’s not looking too good.” she pointed, looking back over at the two as the group turned a corner.
“We had a run-in with the New Republic.” Din answered as Ellia remained quiet.
“They should leave the Outer-Rim alone. If the Empire couldn’t settle it, what makes them think they can?” Greef complained as they walked up to the front door of the old common house. “Here we are.”
As Greef typed away on the control pad, Ellia let out a small scoff in disbelief.
“I’m surprised to see this place still standing”
The door slid open, and Greef stepped through the door. Cara turned to look over her shoulder with another proud smirk before following him in.
“Wait till you see inside”
Ellia immediately followed her in, not noticing Din’s brief moment of hesitation before doing the same.
Stepping through the doorway, they were met with the metallic voice of a protocol droid.
“Who can name one of the five major trade routes in the galaxy? Anyone? How about the Corellian Run?”
Ellia’s lips parted in shock as she looked around the room that she had once fought for her life inside of, now refurbished and turned into-
“A school?” Din asked for them both.
Before them, there were three rows of children sitting in front of a holoboard. Little learning trinkets and models were scattered around the shelves that lined the walls.
“Things have changed a lot around here.” Cara noted softly.
“We’re gonna leave the little one here so we can talk business.” Greef said, taking a step down into the classroom.
Din jolted forward suddenly,
“Wait. Wherever I go, he goes.” he stated quickly.
“Mando, please.” Greef said as gently as he could. “Where we’re going, you don’t wanna take a child. Trust me.”
“He’ll be fine here. You have my word.” Cara assured as Greef walked down the aisles, placing the child into one of the empty desks at the edge of the room while the protocol droid went on with its lecture.
“...be transported from the Outer Rim as far away as the Core Worlds. However, there are several other regions within our galaxy. They are the Mid Rim-”
Greef walked back up to them, nodding his head.
“Come one.” he said briefly before ushering them out the door.
Din looked back at the child for a moment longer before finally turning to follow the group back out into the streets.
As Greef led them through the crowds, Ellia suddenly felt a hand on her shoulder.
“You alright, Imp girl?” Cara asked her in a low voice. “You don’t look so...bright.” she noted, only half-joking.
Ellia responded with a weak smirk.
“I’m fine. It’s just-” she paused briefly, looking ahead of them at where Din was trailing Greef. Just barely out of earshot. She pressed her lips together tightly before turning back to Cara. “It’s just been a rough last couple of days that’s all.”
Cara looked unconvinced, but didn’t push.
Greef led them to the door of another building. And as they approached it, they could hear a voice talking loudly from inside.
“-there’s no registration on the ship, but I’m pretty sure it belongs-”
The Mythrol behind the desk looked up as the group walked inside, and when his eyes landed on Din’s form, his face dropped.
“I believe you two have met.” Greef said, sounding like he was suppressing a laugh.
The blue creature nervously let out a puff of smoke from his gills.
“I’m surprised to see you here.” Din noted.
“Right back at ya.” the Mythrol said with a trembling voice.
“Mythrol here’s taken care of my books since he was a pollywog.” Greef explained, “But then he disappeared one day after a bit of ‘creative accounting.’”
“Magistrate Karga was generous enough to let me work off my debt.” Mythrol sputtered nervously. “Thank you, by the way.”
“Three hundred and fifty years, but who’s counting.” Greef added.
“Well, if he runs off on you again, let me know.” Din said. And Ellia couldn’t tell if he was trying to be threatening, or to make a joke. Because to her, it sounded like both.
“Let me assure you, I do not wanna spend any more time in carbonite.” Mythrol added, “Still can’t see outta my left eye.”
Cara rolled her eyes, leaving Ellia’s side to walk over to a table on the other side of the room.
“Can we talk business?” she asked, sounding a tad bit impatient.
“We’re only here for repairs.” Din reminded.
“Which’ll take a while.” Greef immediately interjected, as if anticipating the response. “Which means you’ll have free time on your hands, right? And we could really use your help.” the man admitted.
“Help how?” Din asked.
Cara leaned over towards the opposite desk, switching on a small holo-map.
“This is Nevarro. We’re here.” she explained, gesturing around the map with her fingers. “This entire area’s a green zone. Completely safe. But over on this side is the problem.” she said, clicking the map and bringing up a zoomed in depiction of what looked like a large structure built into the side of a tall cavern wall.
Ellia's eyes widened in recognition.
“That’s an old Imperial base.” she noted in a hushed tone.
Cara caught her eye with an expression of severity.
“It’s where all those troops came from when we defeated Moff Gideon.” she explained, “This base has been here since the Imperial expansion. It’s got a skeleton crew, but for some reason, it hasn’t been abandoned.”
“There’s a lot of heavy weaponry in that place the black market would love to dismantle and get their hands on.” Greef added.
“And you wanna mop up the last of the Imperial force before they do.” Din interjected.
“Mando, I just want them off my planet.” Greef fired back, “If we could take out that one last base, Nevarro would be completely safe. We could be a trade anchor for the entire sector.”
“And the planet would finally be free.” Cara added.
There was a long pause as everyone in the room waited for the Mandalorian's decision.
“What are we looking at?” Din finally asked.

They're for rescuees, and since I rescued you from the dinosaur, they're for you.
I anticipated the rescuees being children but all are welcome to use and enjoy art 🥰
Classifying myself as @ilikebigshipsandicannotlie’s newest abstract art installation after this nifty bit of field cross stitch and wrapping.
(The rows of stitches are outstandingly good and I think they spell FAB from the right angle, it’s impressive).
Take note innocent civilians - only fight reinforced steel beams in collapsed buildings if it’s to save a life or five (and you’re willing to deal with some awful tasting antibiotics after that someone forces on you).
Now to come up with a creative way to break the news and write for the mission report… 🌝
#thunderbirds rp#virgil valiantly fighting it off#<- it was a glorious scene 🦖#fishtank vs godzilla#best report ever#no objection to the hexdriver of destiny

The 9 Best Electric Screwdrivers of 2023
The 9 Best Electric Screwdrivers of 2023
Electric screwdrivers fill the gap between power drills and manual screwdrivers. These handy cordless tools are lightweight, easy to use, and very convenient when you need to drive a lot of screws while assembling furniture, hanging artwork, tightening loose fasteners, or doing similar projects around your home. But Deane Biermeier, a licensed contractor, carpenter, and member of The Spruce’s Home Improvement Editorial Board, cautions, “Remember that an electric screwdriver isn’t a drill. Electric screwdrivers are excellent at reaching into confined spaces and installing or removing screws that require relatively little torque. While there are heavier-duty electric screwdrivers, these tools are generally intended for use on lighter tasks. Heavier use, such as driving long screws into wood without a pilot hole, is a job for a drill, not a screwdriver.”Get more news about power screwdrivers brushed motor, you can vist our website!
If you only need a screwdriver occasionally to drive one screw, then you don't need this tool. But if a screwdriver is a regular part of your day, week, or even month, then you'll find that the many features of the DEWALT DCF680N2 make it well worth the price. This is an 8-volt electric screwdriver that runs off a DEWALT MAX battery pack, which charges in less than an hour and stays charged for days, depending on how often you use it. But thanks to the battery charge status indicator, you'll never have to guess when it's time to recharge.
This reasonably priced cordless screwdriver is very basic, but if you merely need a tool for occasionally tightening loose screws around the house, hanging blinds, or similar tasks, this is a great option that's also easy to store, thanks to the pegboard hole at the end of the handle. You can turn off the tool and use it as a manual screwdriver, if desired. This screwdriver has an inline-grip handle and is comfortable to hold. At 6 volts and running off four AA batteries (included), you aren't getting a lot of power, but you don't need excessive force for the types of projects to which this tool is suited.
This 12-volt electric screwdriver might be compact in size, but it's definitely not short on power. It has 21 clutch settings for torque up to a whopping 265 inch-pounds, and it has two-speed settings: low is 0 to 350 rpm, and high is 0 to 1,300 rpm, making this a faster and more powerful cordless screwdriver than most others. It has a forward/reverse switch and a built-in work light. The shank is 1/4 inch, so you can use any 1/4-inch hex-based bits with the tool, although it comes with a flat-head and a Philips-head bit.
This compact, lightweight electric screwdriver is perfect for a wide range of DIY projects and household repairs. Its 4-volt battery recharges with a USB cord, and once charged, it runs for quite a while before needing another charge. The ergonomic handle is easy to hold, and the two-finger trigger gives you good control, making it easy to carry out even delicate tasks. The screwdriver does not have the adjustable speed or torque but provides up to 220 rpm of speed and 36 inch-pounds of torque.
Buying the perfect assemble-yourself bookcase, dresser, or cabinet can turn from exciting to exasperating once you discover how many screws are required to put the piece together. And the Allen wrenches typically included with flat-packed furniture are not easy to hold or turn. The solution to the problem is the BLACK+DECKER BCRTA601I Hexdriver, which has a patent-pending chuck designed to hold the Allen wrench that came with the furniture, letting you drive screws three times faster than if you just did it by hand. Plus, it's far more comfortable to hold and easier on your fingers. And, of course, you can also use the tool to drive regular screws; it comes with five screwdriver bits, including Philips, slotted, and square. It also includes a 4-mm hex wrench.
This isn't a cordless screwdriver for use in household tasks, but rather a precision screwdriver for use in repairing electronics, jewelry, eyeglasses, or other items with very tiny screws. The screwdriver itself is not much larger than an ink pen, at just a bit over 7 inches in length and a little more than 1/2 inch in diameter. The tool runs off a 350-mAh rechargeable battery and includes a USB cord for charging the battery when needed. An indicator light lets you know when the screwdriver is fully charged. It has a forward/reverse button and three built-in LED lights, which are very helpful when doing delicate work.
Most lower-powered electric screwdrivers either have no speed settings at all or only have a low/high-speed switch. More heavy-duty tools, however, often have a variable speed setting, which lets you tailor the speed to your needs—go fast when driving smaller screws, or slow it down when driving large screws that require more force. The Milwaukee 2401-22 is a professional-level tool, with a 12-volt battery that's compatible with other Milwaukee tools and up to 500 rpm of speed. There are 16 clutch settings for up to a powerful 175 inch-pounds of torque; not many screws are going to resist that kind of force.

Ship Repairs
This fic is just fluff, Tech being a little shit and Echo trying to function on little sleep lmao THIS IS ALL PLATONIC, GO AWAY SHIPPERS EW
Word Count: 1,189
Warnings: None
This is a SFW tickle fic, if you don’t like that then don’t read :)
“Wrench.”
“Wrench.”
“Solder blaster.”
“Solder blaster.”
“...Hexdriver.”
“Hexdriver.”
Echo let out a low sigh and turned slowly to look at Tech, who was sitting innocently on a crate next to the array of tools being used to fix the haul of the Marauder. The goggle wearing clone tipped his head to the side in question at the ex-ARC trooper’s glare.
Echo exhaled a slow breath to mentally prepare himself, then asked, “What are you doing?”
“What are you doing?” Tech said back, head tilting upright again to stare Echo dead-on.
Echo’s gaze only narrowed further. “Tech.”
“Tech.”
“Why are you copying me?”
“Why are you copying me?”
Echo pinched the skin between his eyes tiredly, he was running on too little sleep for this. The missions lately had been hectic and he was not getting enough rest to be diplomatically understanding of anyone’s bantha shit. “Tech, I’d rather not play games right now.”
“Tech, I’d rather not play games right now.”
Alright. It was going to be one of those days.
Tech, while typically quite independent and self-reliant, could have moments where he actively seeked out attention from his other squad members. Instead of just asking like a normal individual, Tech did things the complicated way. He would bait his brothers into light-hearted squabbles by acting like the biggest shithead in the cosmos, indulging his more impish and chaotic side accordingly. Tech knew how to press everyone’s buttons, pestering for long enough and saying the right things that would get a rise out of the other clones and score him the attention he wanted. The Bad Batch all had their ways of dealing with these moments from Tech, but this was the first time Echo had to deal with it himself. Whenever Tech acted like this, the others were around to handle him, but they were all out in town, leaving Echo with the mission of managing the younger clone.
Trying to mimic a stern clone officer from his earlier years as a shiny, he pointed the hexdriver at Tech’s nose with an annoyed look. “Alright, smart ass,” he grumbled. “I’m warning you.”
Tech had a shit-eating grin on his face, not even waiting a second to consider the threat of Echo actually being serious. “Alright, smart ass,” he chirped smugly, “I’m warning-”
Echo grabbed Tech around the middle and wrestled him onto the ground without warning, fighting off a smile at the man’s strangled yelps, clearly trying to hold his tongue from protesting so he could keep the game going. Though, that didn’t keep him from fighting back.
“Do you really want to continue this, Tech? I used to be an ARC trooper, remember?” Echo, even with one hand missing, was easily keeping his brother down. He used to wrestle with his old batch all the time and he’d seen Crosshair take down Tech enough times to know how to do it himself. It almost felt unfair. However…
Tech grinned up at his brother through their tangled arms. “Want to continue this, Tech? I used to be an ARC trooper, remember?” He shot back gleefully, putting on a voice to match Echo’s tone inflections.
“Son of a-” Without hesitation, Echo’s scomp link gently delved into Tech’s ribcage, mercilessly needling into the tender bones and earning peals of startled laughter. Tech wriggled into the dirt fruitlessly, trying to bat at Echo’s scomp, only to have a wrist snatched up and the mechanical limb prodding into his unshielded armpit, producing a sharp squeal instantly.
Tech never would’ve anticipated Echo to use such outlandish methods like this. He got this from Wrecker and occasionally Hunter, but the cybernetic clone was an outlier to be sure. And not only was he an outlier, but he was also really skilled at this. Tech was spluttering and giggling like a madman, and it hadn’t even been a minute yet. His lack of speech had caught Echo’s attention, and the smirk on his face was downright smug.
“What? You run out of steam, copycat?” Echo asked as Tech gasped and wheezed for breath. “No more little comments?”
“Y-Yohou ruhuhun ohout- hehehehe- ohohof steheheHEHEAM-!”
Tech’s attempt to continue the joke was interrupted by Echo’s finding a sweet spot on his upper ribs, causing an uncharacteristic screech to pull from the usually stoic clone. “St-Stohohop!”
“Oh my word, did you say something original?” Echo feigned surprise, though his tone was flat and somehow made Tech laugh even more by the dryness of the comment. “Incredible, let’s see if I can get you to do it again.”
He probed and wormed his scomp into the spaces between Tech’s ribs in an unguessable pattern, keeping the enhanced clone in a flurry of giggles and never letting him get used to one sensation. The onslaught was breaking Tech’s will faster than he expected it to.
He yelped when a particularly sensitive rib was prodded and tickled by that damn scomp. He couldn’t stop the yelp from leaving his lips. “Ehehecho!”
“Look at that, you did do it again. Congratulations Tech.”
“DohoHOHON’T!”
“Three times, a breakthrough indeed.
Tech used his free hand to grab the scomp link, shoving it away from his ribs so he could get a breather in. Echo let him, having heard the gasping in Tech’s voice increasing as he’d been laughing.
“You learned your lesson yet, gremlin?” Echo asked, reminded distinctly of his play fights with his twin and asking that very same question. Tech blew out a breath, slumping in the ground and nodding.
Echo wasn’t buying the silence.
He tore his captured scomp from Tech and poised it at his ribs again, smirking at the wild yelp that burst from Tech as he flinched away from the ‘danger’.
“I wanna hear it, Tech,” said the ex-ARC trooper. “I want you to say, in your own words, that you’ve learnt your lesson.”
Tech, eyeing the scomp link dangerously close to his sensitive ribs, gave a nervous giggle and gulped. He knew better than to poke the disgruntled Tonton with a stick, or however that saying went. “I- I’ve lehearn’t my lesson, Ehecho,” he grinned at the older clone through squinted eyes.
Echo huffed an amused laugh at how giggly Tech still was. “There we go, that wasn’t so hard was it?” He took his hand away from Tech’s wrist to mess with his short, cropped hair and stood up. “What on earth was that even about?”
He turned back to the ship and picked up another tool to continue his work, letting Tech sit up and gather himself after the ‘attack’. The enhanced clone gave a small chuckle and smiled mischievously up at Echo’s back. His need for attention wasn’t done yet.
“Well… You’re the one repeating things all the time, guess I wanted to try it out for myself.”
Echo’s movements froze and his eyelid twitched slightly. He threw the tool aside and was diving at Tech before the trooper had the sense to run for the hills, his bright laughter filling the air once again. This time riddled with shrieks as Echo ruthlessly targeted his upper ribs, both with his scomp and his hand.

Did he treat her like a person?
More than anyone else.
Her stimming and lack of "normal social graces" never irritated him. To him, everything she did was normal - Her normal.
He never displays irritation, not even in S1 (or S2 before the hexdriver incident), before their friendship is established, only respect for her expertise and competence.
Even the times Hordak does shout at her, it's not because of her "quirks" nor because of her autistic behavior.)
The first time, it was because she intruded upon his "sanctum". He shouted at everyone that barged in and disturbed him in his "room".
The second time, it was because she fought with him not to send Catra to Beast Island. (which is ironically, exactly where Catra sent her). Hordak huffed and he pouted but he eventually listened to her and did as she asked.
He yelled at her to get out after the experiment with the portal failed and he had to protect her from the explosion with his own sickly body, damaging his prosthetic armor. (he was in pain and his nerves were short. I know it wasn't right but controlling one's temper is harder when one is in pain. It was his own pain and fear of showing weakness that made him snap at her to get out of the lab, not anything she did or was.
Another time he yelled was when he displayed weakness in front of an enemy (Adora) after he got electrocuted by his armor. Again, pain and fear of showing weakness. The anger was misdirected at Entrapta. (as @cruelfeline pointed out).
I am not excusing his inability to control his temper, I am explaining the motivations behind each incident of him "being in a tizzy" as Entrapta called it.
As you can see, every time this happened, it was never her being a "weirdo" that caused it but rather, Hordak's inability to control the emotions he shouldn't have and was never taught to process and deal with in a healthy way. (Little brothers shouldn't have emotions, it's why he got dipped in the Purity Mt Dew Pool...)
Every other time we see them together in the show, they seem to be enjoying each other's presence.
Lets contrast that to the way Entrapta's other friends react to her:
The Princesses however manifested a certain degree of tolerance of her "quirks", not acceptance - And this is BEFORE she "Betrays" them.
The show says the princesses are Entrapta’s friends but doesn’t really portray it that way:
This is why they wanted Entrapta to join the alliance:
Not because they care about her or want to be friends with her. It is merely transactional. Glimmer and Adora saved her ass so she repays them by building weapons for them. That’s it, that’s the extent of her motivation for joining the alliance. She doesn’t care about the Horde Threat because The Horde has never attacked Dryl (it’s why it’s so hard to convince Frosta too, The Horde never attacked her kingdom either- S1 smart Frosta had no stakes in the war)
This is how Entrapta’s “friends” hung out with her before she got left in the Fright Zone:
(Hint- “that” is referring to Entrapta)
Behold: the only “friend” she made at this social gathering - because the princesses were not really interested in hanging out with a weird 30yo woman and had their own things going on.
Ghasp! that doesn’t look like a princess… (and was doing this to mess with Adora but I digress)
The last episode she’s with the alliance: No princess left behind (except the weird one)
Perfuma being exasperated by Entrapta “being difficult” I can feel the camaraderie already!
My favorite joke, leashing a 30yo autistic woman, how funny >.> /s
you can really feel the friendship established here right? They are totally close bffs! /s Love is in the aaairr!
Btw, what she was actually doing was not endangering the mission, on the contrary:
How come they didn’t ask local menace Sea Hawk where HE’s been. Nope! Only 'weirdo' Entrapta is the problem….
Here some more “friendship”!
Clearly the show has established by now how she is the group darling and their bestie. She is a trusted member of the group and these young women all seek her sage council /s
Her doing all of the above is seen in a negative light by he princesses despite her actions actually benefiting the operation and they would have benefitted the alliance had she not gotten stuck in the Frightzone.
I don't know whether this contrast between how she's treated by both factions was intentional from the series writers or not but it was jarring to me how her "friends" never tried to understand her or the reasoning behind her actions. I may be biased since I'm autistic myself and the way she is treated by her princess friends unfortunately reminds me how some of my old 'friends' used to treat me. It's a realistic depiction, even if it's not exactly an ideal and happy one.
I'd address how Catra reacts to her too (because Entrapta saw her and Scorpia as friends) but Tumblr doesn't let me add more pictures.
#entrapta#hordak#entrapdak#acceptance vs tolerance#i've been the 5th wheel growing up#the way her friends treated her was very familliar#spop critical

Hi. Sorry it’s early, but sending on the top secret Tracy SOS channel. Although this thunder is pretty loud so you’re probably awake…
Trying not to wake P because I said I was alright so she’d go back to sleep but that was a dumb bravado talking because between bros… not fine.
Would get up to get meds myself by a) trapped and b) feet and hands are pretty offline, along with the head (no jokes about my head ever being online).
We got any of the good meds left? Might even consider one of those crazy injection things, ugh… stupids storm, stupid head, stupid stabby meds.
Or alternatively, Virgil with a hexdriver and a good swing at my stupid head. That’d work too.
Thanks in advance, big bro ♥️ - one little fish 🐠
Hey little fish, as much as V would enjoy the hexdriver option I reckon if you’re feeling grim enough to even consider the stabby meds we should check this is *just* a migraine…
Mind if I nip in and zap you a little with one of the scanners? Just to be sure it isn’t anything has shifted in Mr Bionic’s infrastructure? I’ll bring the good meds with me…
I could also have a go at releasing that trigger point in your neck if you think that might help? Used to help a bit back when you were getting them all the time? Or if you have company I can just scan ya then leave the meds on your bedside table…

Ohhh, him? The one that insisted on the half hour video call with you to cover the contents of his last two emails? Your new best friend? What a delight.
I am the lesser of two evils I see.
Yes, in the midst of this, I have decided to inhale my bodyweight in caffeine. No, the rehydration stuff with the ginger in it, you said I should try to drink because contrary to popular belief I do listen to you, especially when the hexdriver is looking promising once more and this stupid thing keeps shocking me and I am getting grumpy. PS I left Alan in Auckland.
So what you’re saying is you’d like to be approached to do stunts in the latest generation of fighter jets and be paid for it… but given the chance to be the man himself, you’d turn it down?
The decent Kansas farmboy could never accept that Mav didn’t immediately wife her and settle down together to raise little F-14s together.

If you gotta deal with pokey doctors and loved up baby brothers (by entirely your own doing), then at least make the food good.

Headcanon: Imp takes after his parents and begins to create his own little miniaturised versions of his parents’ experiments in secret. Imp actually lives between the walls of The Fright Zone, he hides all the shiny things he finds there. That’s why the six-sided hexdriver keeps disappearing so often, alongside with that bent wrench Hordak crumples and discards in season 2. One day Imp deems it the right time to reveal the gift to his parents and he leads them to a secret hiding spot of his and there they see a small Imp-sized version of the portal machine. Imp finishes it in front of them by screwing in the final screw with the hexdriver and at the tiny machine’s centre a bulb lights up. Imp raises his hands in the air awaiting applause, which he is showered with. And as a show of how impressed and proud they are of their little batling they bring him to town and get him his favourite doomberry pie to celebrate.

Ok so hear me out. Entrapta has a boob window. Sometimes women keep stuff in their bras. One day Hordak ask for something and Entrapta casually reaches into her boob window and gives it to him.
A little-known Etherian fact is that Entrapta's cleavage is actually the natural habitat of the six-sided hexdriver.

Merrin and Greez bonding!
Short but sweet (ficlet under the cut).
Cal, Merrin, and Cere all took turns helping Greez when it was time to maintenance the Stinger Mantis. While they traipsed around the galaxy, they often stopped at small outposts to refuel and stock up on supplies.
This time it was Merrin who was assisting. They had run into a small amount of space trash, causing damage to the hull. Cere and Cal were off at a nearby market, so the two were left alone. This planet was lush and green, with a bright and welcoming sun shining high above.
“Here, hand me that prybar,” Greez instructed, holding out one of his four hands.
Merrin paused for a moment, searching through the pile of tools at her disposal. She finally selected one and handed it to the latero.
“Nope, that’s a welding torch,” Greez said, shaking his head. “Try over there, the thing with the orange handle”
Merrin sheepishly handed him the requested tool. “I am sorry, Greez, I still have so much to learn.”
“I know, kiddo,” Greez replied with a grunt. He managed to pull the damaged piece off the ship and handed it to Merrin who laid it down in the grass. “Okay, now I need that welding torch.”
Taking the prybar back from Greez, Merrin handed him the welding torch. She turned the prybar over in her hands.
“Okay, now I need the sub-loop spanner. It looks like a claw.” Greez handed Merrin the welding torch.
The nightsister searched once more, still confused at what she was looking at. “This?” she pointed at a claw-like tool.
“No, that one is a hexdriver.”
“Okay um.. This one?”
“Yes that’s it,” Greez said, taking the tool.
Merrin watched him work for a moment. “Maybe I should have stayed on Dathomir,” she said quietly.
Greez stopped welding and removed his protective goggles. “Huh? Why?”
Merrin was surprised at his attentiveness. “You have seen me, Greez, I cannot integrate with anybody. When we stopped in Ord Mantell I made a fool of myself trying to barter for food. I cannot be taken seriously, and I’m treated like an anomaly.” Merrin threw the prybar down into the soft dirt, the handle sticking up. She then covered her face for a moment. “Sorry, I have not slept well in a few rotations.”
“Has Cal or Cere made you feel inferior?” Greez asked. He’d turned his full attention to the nightsister.
Merrin shrugged. “No… they’ve been very patient with me. So have you. But, there is so much in this galaxy I did not know, nor will I ever know.”
Greezput his tool down and sat down in the grass. He motioned for Merrin to sit in front of him. She obliged, crossing her legs and resting her hands in her lap.
The latero looked slightly uncomfortable, but Merrin could see he was also sincere. “You know this Empire that is somehow ruling this galaxy has decided that any species other than huma is automatically inferior,” Greez said. “You see me, with my four arms and crazy hair. You know how many awful looks I get whenever we are in an imperial controlled sector? Even before this Empire took over, I was treated like a substandard being. I had to learn to let the words and scorn roll off my back, and you have to learn to not let your ignorance dictate your life.” Greez threw up all four hands and looked skyward for a moment. “You’re a smart kid. Everything you ask about, everything you’ve learned, you’ve kept in that head of yours. And even if you knew everything, there would still be slip-ups and bad days. That’s life!”
Merrin smiled slightly. “I did not have many opportunities to learn on Dathomir after my sisters were wiped out. All I knew was that I was alone. Well, except for the nightbrothers but… they are not much company. No, I was alone with no purpose.” Merrin shifted so that her chin rested on her knuckle. “I missed out on a lot, but then… I met Cal, and you, and Cere.”
Greez’s face softened. “And I, for one, am glad you are with us.” He stood and reached out one of his hands, helping Merrin to her feet.
“Thanks, Greez. I am sorry that I feel inferior. Thank you… for your affirming words. I am not used to being wanted.”
Greez smiled. “You don’t belong anywhere else but with us, kid.”
